Nothing will ever be the same again for the residents of a small Welsh community after the arrival of a wealthy American who offers to use her money to transform their down-trodden town. As they watch the pubs, cafes, houses and shops that hold their memories being dismantled and rebuilt, the locals find their lives unravelling. Ray deals with issues of home, consumerism, domestic violence, the family and relationships in this detailed epic that reads like poetry. I stayed up half the night reading it many a time, wishing it was longer than the 1000 pages and finishing it felt like losing a friend! Brilliant.

If you want to read a book that will tremendously bless you, well this is it. Through recounting Jonah's experiences, Dr. Mitchell relates it to our lives, being obedient to God and following God's will in our lives. This is a practical book for all and I look forward to reading more books by him.

My daughter read it aloud to me twice. I could see that she was moved. This is an excellent book for youngsters who are trying to make sense of different opinions, who are exposed to several world-views. It's a story about inter-generational understanding. A special book for sensitive, searching young souls.

Not The End of the World, by Rebecca Stowe, is a poingent and searing story of a young girl, Maggie Pittsfield, 12, trying to find freedom in an appearingly perfect life. Her father, a rich candy factory owner, is really a possesive ogre over the family. Her mother is a fragile and flat character overpowered by her own mother, who tourtures Maggie. Maggie's sister is younger, and her behavior is mysterious. Maggie, with several split personalities, is considered a troublemaker after an incident taking place the year prior. She is a wonderful representation of what happens to sexually abused children, and her "personalities" are ways of coping with her feelings. She keeps each personality in a beautifully lacquered chest, specifically with one kept in a draw only with her eyes able to appear. As the story unfolds, so does this personality, Peggy; and Maggie's life, along with the depression she suffers from as well. Though a children's book, it deals with very adult subjects and feelings, and I would highly recomend it to any one who has experienced sexual abuse.

Stone Fish and Harvey composed an excellent handbook for family therapists in working with queer youth. Their approach was well thought out, sensitive, and right on the money. I was impressed with the writing - never losing attention for one moment. I really appreciated their case examples and the way the wove them into each technique/style that they presented. Highly recommended for family therapists but also for any clinician that works with youth.

This is an excellent, easy to understand book about the impact of nutrition on the oral cavity. The book makes the difficult concepts of nutrition easy to understand and apply. Nutrition can be a boring topic, but this book makes it fun. I would highly recommend this book.

I was thrilled to come upon this book. It is nearly impossible to find a comprehensive guide or directory about tea rooms. I knew of my local ones, but not statewide here in Ohio. Rebecca includes photos of the tea rooms she has discovered along with descriptions of the proprietors, the shops hours, types of foods, reservations required, handicapped accessible and locations. Very thorough and a nice handbook to have on hand for your next trip in Ohio!

This is a large, excellent, very diverse collection of therapists' essays on losses and life changes, including their own. Thought-provoking and curative, an excellent guard against any oversimplified account of adjusting to some of life's major challenges.

This is an exceptionally well writen peace of work by an obviously talented young lady. This is a must have for your library.
