Rainbow The Books

Ann Wroe is a British historian, whose impressive knowledge of the European Middle Ages might seem an odd preparation for a book about the most sordid episode of duplicity and opportunism in modern American history, the Iran-Contra affair engineered under the back side of the aegis of Ronald Reagan. I've just been rereading her splendid book "A Fool and His Money", based on the archival transcript of a trial in Rodez, France, in 1370. One trial reminded me of another. I read this powerful book about poilitcal ethics when it first appeared 15 years ago; most of my opinions about the misconduct of North, Poindexter, and their den master came from this book, but I don't remember it well enough to review it in more detail. I'm just glad that it's still available used. Read it, Americans! You need it!

I am a fourth grader in Lockport, NY. My name is Tiffany. I helped my teacher, Ms. Fletcher, by reading this book and deciding if 2nd graders would like to read it. I think that 2nd graders would LOVE to read this Liz book. Let me tell you about this book: It was Keesha's turn to take Liz home for the weekend. Carlos came over to help paint a rainbow on the wall. They made a rainbow for Keesha's grandma on the wall with only three colors - red, blue, and yellow. My favorite part is when Liz fell into the paint.

I am just an ordinary reader which can tell you what he likes, what he dislikes, and usually can't explain why. So I found it difficult to express my feelings regarding this beautiful book. But it touched me on some special way so I decided to motivate the others to read it and to feel it. It is an ecological novel which shows us the life of sea pulps through the eyes of Danny, a little sea pulp. Their life becomes the life of victims because of human destructive influence. After the reading of the book, everyone becomes aware of this problem, and some of us became motivated to do something to help those beings to survive. I hope that it is not necessary to wait too long to live with all the animals in peace as it supposed to be. Also I hope that it won't be necessary to wait too long for another book of this extraordinary author. Read it and enjoy it.

I got this book for a graduation present. It is very inspirational and very touching. I was so touched by it I cried. A very good gift for that special person in your life.

The book is captivating, I could not put it down.

Grade 6 Math Connections was just what my son needed to get his math skills and conceptial understanding up to speed. The examples were clear and straight forward. He was able to work through the book with very little supervision. I was especially impressed by the problem solving pages. They were relevant to the content and interesting for sixth graders. Being a math teacher myself, I recommend this work book for any student wanting to reinforce or practice math skills needed for Pre-Algebra.

This is the best series I've found for review. Major sections have pretests (diagnostic) and post-tests. Each skill has a brief but clear explanation and example. Worksheets for each section cover basic skills, but there are also worksheets that are completely word problems or that incorporate algebra. So you can select practice sheets for as basic or advanced skills as you need. This book works well with the "Fifth Grade Math Review" (for example) series by Frank Schaffer Publications. They are both excellent but often cover different subsets of skills. (I should say that I actually use the 6th grade version of this book, but am assuming the series is similar throughout.)
