My mother bought this for us when we were younger. I have to say it's one of the funnest albums I've ever encountered. The songs are hilarious.. and I want another copy..

This story asks the reader to feel the inner connectedness between nature and people. The poetry illustrates the history the earth leaves behind makes us what we are today. The descriptions of the landscape and the fossils encourages the exploration of the awesomeness of nature. The story reminds that civilization is not real but that nature is enduring, and that everyone shares this. The evidence of this shared past is a fossil and then later, it comes from the imagination. There is a pride in witnessing nature and understanding the inner connectedness of the world.

This little book has a great big inside.....
It is full of awe and wonder for a small child to giggle through... or an adult to be whimsically delighted.

Imogene woke up one day and she had antlers, and it was hard for her to do certain things. People used her to hang clothes on and to feed the birds and different sorts of things. Her mom kept fainting everytime she looked at her or thought about it. She even had a doctor come and look at her, but then one day when she woke up the antlers were gone. She was back to normal. Then she came in the room to show everyone she was fine again, and then on the back of her she had grown feathers. I think this was a good book for children to read when they are first beginning. It is a twisting non-realistic interesting book.

The first book in the series of Jewel Fairies (Ruby) I bought was for my granddaughter Eden, she really enjoyed the book and wanted the other books in the series. Since receiving the books, she enthusiasticly has read all that I ordered for her. Hope the author continues to write more books for this series for I will continue to purchase them for my excited granddaughter.

Anytime that we can get a child to read, it opens the door of possibilites for them.

I am in charge of our preschool- First grade children's church and was trying to find some lessons for the teacher's to use. I ordered this book and was pleased with it's organization and approach to teaching the lessons. Each lesson starts with a story and then gives 5 0r 6 activities to go along with the main idea(scripture quote) of the story. I am so thrilled with it that I am ordering the other books in this series.

After seeing this book "reviewed" on "The Reading Rainbow", we went out to see it for ourselves. It is one of our favorite books now, for my children ranging in age from 2 to 6. It is a fairly easy reader for my six year old and the beautiful watercolor pictures and poetic verse keep their interest. I have since put this book on my Christmas list for all my young readers to receive. It is a great addition to our night time reading ritual.
