Migi Serrell takes you through her garden and the skillful art of arranging flowers. She guides you through the basics of
flower arranging from choosing a container to choosing and conditioning the the right type of plant material. Once the basics
are covered, she explains how to make your arrangement really stand out. Her experience comes from years of hard work that
helped her win the prestegious Fenwick Medal several times. This book is a wonderful addition to any flower arranger's collection
whether you arrange for fun and family occasions or if you are an "old hand" at the subject!

Lyra has arrived at the remote outpost auction with the intention of bidding on upgrading her weapons systems. As the owner
of a transport service, she needs her weapons system functional in order to keep the raiders away from her goods. But all
her intentions disappear the minute she hears there is a pänthliõn up for auction. She has always been fascinated with the
mythic cats, and is overjoyed to realize they do exist.
Jâden is a pänthliõn, a species that is able to shift between feline and human form. His world is uninhabitable and his people flung across the galaxy in an effort to survive. After a long hibernation period, he wakes up to find himself being auctioned off. In among the various scents at the auction he catches the smell of a woman, one who he wants for himself. When she bids on him, and wins, he immediately sets out to make her his own.
Tales of the Pride: Awakening is a quick read, yet it manages to convey a multitude of emotions. Lyra and Jâden make an interesting couple. Lyra's fascination with Jâden, together with Jâden's urges to continue his species make for an intense romance. I would love to read more Tales of the Pride stories, and look forward to more from Larissa Lyons.

I loved this book. It gives a lot of examples of what to feed your little one when they start solids. It offers a wide variety
of recipes which are designed to be shared with the whole family, as well as some just for the baby, and just for the baby
and one parent. I like that the author assumes your child can develop a more sophisticated palate and enjoy foods other than
mac and cheese and hot dogs. The recipes are fairly uncomplicated, and the book includes sections for microwave cooking and
slowcooker cooking. The author kept a diary of her daughter's eating from when she started solids until she was two, so you
can see the progression from rice cereal all the way up to eating just like adults. There is some info regarding food allergies,
though most of the recipes assume that isn't a problem. My daughter just turned one, and she really likes everything I have
given her from this book.

This book was an eye opener for me. I couldn't believe that a young Canadian woman could write believably from such a wide
range of points of view. Why this writer isn't better known is a mystery to me.

A mesmerizing story that stays with you

Robin is the reason I love this book. At first, I found her intensely frustrating. Her desire to be off her medication and
allow her condition to take over her thoughts and functions made me angry with her. But then there was a shift. I think it
happened when she and Derek escaped and found their way to the Dairy Queen. I found myself pulling for her and hoping that
she would find a happier existence, but at the same time being able hold on to a piece of herself that maybe wasn't so healthy,
but that was real nonetheless.
I was fascinated by the dynamics of her relationships, with her sister and her ex-boyfriend. However, her most significant relationship was with Dr. Mankiewicz, Robin's true champion and quiet hero.
If you're interested in being swept away with a story that explores very unique experiences and a mesmerizing frame of mind with a sprinkling of humor, I strongly recommend Banana Kiss.

A captivating portrait of the rough edges of life

Beruit-born Canadian immigrant Walid Bitar presents Bastardi Puri, a collection of free-verse poetry that feels like a hybrid
cross between raw emotion, vibrant energy, caustic wit, and painful revelation. From the mundane to life-changing events,
Bastardi Puri offers a captivating portrait of the rough edges of life. Developing Countries: Though eyewitnesses insist history's
sleep is light, / it's rather heavy, and hardly stirred / if a bottle breaks in an alley, used as the chronicler is / to winking
with a hotelier's Brummagem composure. // The next think you know lobster and iguana / are mistaken for viola and violin /
in kitchens whose acoustics have in them a Spartacus / to lead the others in revolt, muffling any fugue. // I'd drown it out
by landing helicopters, / metal teabags to the boiling gods, / as any make-up man knows, and my conscience, / which is a lagging
indicator, and unemployment rate.

Excellent novel. For a western it was real page turner that kept me on the edge of my seat--a real page turner. The setting
was North Idaho in the late 1880's and through C.K. Crigger's writing you felt as if you lived the period through her characters.
I highly recommend this novel to anyone who likes mysteries, westerns or historical novels. The author received the "Eppi"
award for best Western Novel of 2007 for this book and I can see why.

The debut poetry collection of J.D. Black, Black Velvet Elvis is a unique free-verse compilation that varies in tone from
gritty and brutal to urgent to painfully awash with memories. From the loss suffered by a Holocaust survivor, to the sudden
manifestation of the fierce wolf within an ordinary dog, to the recurring figure of a menacing redneck and a guest appearance
by the sadly diminished presence of "The King" Elvis Presley, Black Velvet Elvis keeps the reader guessing with its heart-rending
surprises up to the very last poem. "Nonet: Cheshire Cat": Cheshire Cat (who'd lain dangling a shin, / Straddling a branch,
lazy as sin, / Lashing his tail in chagrin / With a slow tail-tip spin) / Vanished like a jinn, / From tail-tip in, / Past
his chin, / To thin / Grin.

Have you ever felt a breeze run across the nap of your neck but there was no wind? Have you ever seen something out of the
corner of your eye, but no one was there? Perhaps it was the Nightwind or one of the other creatures that share our world.
Don't believe it? You may after you read Charlotte Boyett-Compo's BlackWind.
The author takes you into the world of the supernatural in this outstanding adventure. Allowing you to share in the life of a little girl and a little boy who were destined to become one.The author takes you through their years of growth and you see the joining of their souls. However dark forces will never allow this unity to be complete, not in the way at first you hope it would be.
Bronwyn and Sean pledge their love to one another, but Bronwyn does not know that Sean is a Reaper; nor does she know the part her heritage plays in drawing his enemy, the Nightwind.
This marvelous novel weaves in and out using the paranormal, demonology and witchcraft. Her description of the characters brings them to life before your eyes and at times you are routing for them to win, even though they could only be described as monsters. It takes a very good writer to achieve this goal.
I will not [fool] you, this is not a short read, and it is one you will want to have time to truly devour. To try and tell you the storyline would never bring justice to this work. Trust me, if you like the unusual mixed with mystery and seared with love, this is the novel for you. Good read! Well worth your time!
