The videos and sounds accompanying the text allows the viewer to experience the Myan environment and culture in a virtual sense. I felt as if I had been transported in spirit to the culture of the Mopan and Q'eqchi Maya of the Toledo District of Belize. The superb photography in each section, the Elder stories, the selection of the topics, such as their arts and crafts, agriculture, traditions, stories, folktales and much more describing the daily life of the Maya today, as well as their history, provides a wonderful, entertaining and important journey backward and forward in time simultaneously. The users guide with its basic and advanced questions is a great educational tool and fun to use. It is like being introduced to a piece of history and a group of people who are living that history in the 21st century. What an unusual experience. I thoroughly enjoyed this journey. It is one I will take over and over again!

Gayle Heiss has written a gem. This small book has guided me through severe illness, or simply through a bad day.

She communicates very powerful messages with a minimum of words. Her strongest and most important message, in my view, is to trust and listen to yourself and do your best to enjoy each part of everyday. Good Advice for us all.

As a teacher just beginning the looping process this book has been extremely helpful. It is quick and easy to read and will continue to be a valuable resource. It addresses questions not only from an educator's standpoint but also a parent's standpoint. It will continue to be of use to me before, during, and after the looping process begins.

The Magic School Bus is a great bunch of books. We use them in our homeschool. We really miss the TV show. The books keep my childrens attention. Lots of great pictures and conversation of the students. I think they are very detailed.

Catherine cookson has written another delightful novel that travels through the generations of one family. The curse of the Mallen Streak is filled with tragedy and forbidden love, it takes you right to the heart of lifes trials and tribulations with all of its wanting to be accepted in a time when scandal was everything and could not be forgiven. I highly recommend this novel whether you are a Catherine Cookson fan or not!

I was a high school student who went through this book as a Junior. With its simple-but-powerful examples, my faith truly grew feet and, so, impacted my entire school. I recommend this as a tool to take the students wanting more "meat and potatoes" from church to the next level.

The material is so easy to use I taught it one year later as a Senior to a morning group at my public high school. FANTASTIC tool!

Wilson effectively blends a number of theorectical threads to create a moving and powerful image of Maya ethnicity in the late 20th century.

If you are as interested as i am in Ancient Mesoamerican cultures such as the Maya, you will love this book. Some of the language may be a bit difficult, though author explains it well. Its not for the beginner but definelty best choice book after reading Michael Coe's "primer" book on the MAYA. The photography is incredible also.

This book is grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat. I helped one of my friends who was a ferternal twin to prove to him that he is not dumber than his brother Andrew. Also it helped me to show on how smart I was and where I should work hareder in for school.
