This reference boook is great! It aided me through undergrad, as well as graduate school. It is easy to understand and exicute the examples. The book is spiral bound, which makes for easy reading, and durability. It is one of my most used books. I <3 it and I would recommend this book to all high school and college level writers who want that 4.0.

Simple Secrets of Parenting is a wonderful book! It is easy to read and gives practical and easy examples of parenting techniques. As a parent and educator, I see many parents that simply do not know how to relate to their children. This book encourages communication and understanding. It is written in a way that it is easily understood by the average person. The length and content are appropriate even for parents who would rather be doing something other than reading!

Man! I've used a lot of undergraduate textbooks to review things for my graduate study in physics. There are areas in Quantum that I have never properly understood, because other books either hopelessly flub the descriptions, or the grad books are too advanced, and only good for doing the difficult stuff of graduate physics.

But this Moore fellow is something else! He understands, he explains, entertains, and amazingly, this is the first physics book that easily holds the attention of my ADD brain! I'm learning things from his book that I've never properly understood. I want to get the whole set now.

I found this book to be very practical and easy to read. I have been looking for a book to help me understand dental problems in general practice and this book taught me so much. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone needing to get started and build a firm foundation in veterinary dentistry. I especially loved the photos of actual procedures and the chapters on intraoral radiology and oral surgery. The section on oral surgical instruments and the source list in the back helped me find the right tools for the job.

This collection of essays clusters under the idea that the characteristic repetition one finds in American popular culture arrives by way of rituals of "imitation and initiation" in the lives of sexual outsiders [i.e., queers]. These essays are intelligent, provocative, even beautiful analyses of such 20th-century culture-makers as Henry James, Joseph Cornell, Andy Warhol, David Lynch, Kenneth Anger, Maria Montez, Jack Smith, and Vaslav Nijinsky. Each essay is chattily vernacular enough to allow the reader to forget that it's academic scholarship (good for your brain) and not just plain fun. Gossipy tidbits like Cornell's fondness for Kool-Aid and little girls enliven Moon's observations of the artist's memory-saturated work. The way Moon re-homosexualizes an apparently de-homosexualized text such as the film MIDNIGHT COWBOY should inspire a wholly new approach in gay and lesbian criticism. And I thought the treatment of Charles Ludlam's and Ethyl Eichelberger's theatre, largely ignored in academic circles up to now, a fitting climax to a thoroughly enjoyable and illuminating book. A SMALL BOY AND OTHERS deserves a wide and appreciative audience. It offers an elaboration of and a correction to current understandings of the role "camp" has played in shaping contemporary American culture.

This manual is setup like a workbook at some parts. It breaks down information, and you can write in the book's worksheets. It was very helpful in simplifying business terms and concepts for me. I wrote my draft business plan with this book and learned more about writing proposals. If you have a small business and want to know more, this is the book for you. Also, if you are looking to grow your company and find out about financing, it's a great resource as well.

Gilberto Conchas and Louie Rodriguez's SMALL SCHOOLS AND URBAN YOUTH: USING THE POWER OF SCHOOL CULTURE TO ENGAGE STUDENTS is an excellent survey of the cultural and structural features of small schools in two major urban cities. This narrowed focus allows for an analysis of school culture and student involvement on a macroscopic level, creating a fine sociological investigation suitable for both education and sociology libraries.

I love love love this book! It is so beautiful. It has 365 meditations and uplifting and humourous thoughts. So you can pick one for each day of the year. The book shows the lovely artwork of Richard Daiensai which is uplifting, inspiring, beautiful. Yes the book does make me smile. Its a real gem. Makes a wonderful gift too.

This is very well written and entertaining book, full of up-to-date, interesting information about penguins and penguin research. It thoroughly covers each penguin species, as well as providing general information about penguins. Although it is written in a question and answer format, the answers often lead to the next question so that it can be easily read cover to cover like any other book. It also has lots of great colour photos. At the end are some thought-provoking questions - what can we do to help penguins? I would highly recommend this book to any penguin or general nature lover.

In 1775 an Indian sachem (chief and medicine man), watching George Washington in battle, told his men to shoot down "yon tall and daring warrior...who hath an Indian's wisdom." Smithsonian's "The American Revolution" is a handy and extremely useful question and answer book for anyone interested in the Revolutionary War.
