If you are as interested as i am in Ancient Mesoamerican cultures such as the Maya, you will love this book. Some of the language may be a bit difficult, though author explains it well. Its not for the beginner but definelty best choice book after reading Michael Coe's "primer" book on the MAYA. The photography is incredible also.

This book is grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat. I helped one of my friends who was a ferternal twin to prove to him that he is not dumber than his brother Andrew. Also it helped me to show on how smart I was and where I should work hareder in for school.

I borrowed your book from a student and read it thru twice. I also took notes and worked some of the problems particularily on beam flexure and shear. I also liked how the formulas were derived from calculus. I am employed as a structural and piping draftsman your book is very useful in my work. I may be in Toronto for the National Steel Construction Conference in May,99 and would like to meet Dr. E.P.Popov & H.P. Popov.

Kevin Barnhurst has gathered some of the major voices in the field of queer media studies for his book on the assessment of minorities and the media. Here four topics are looked at: history, popularity, expertise and technology. They look at gay life from pre-Stonewall to television to the internet and from aspects of marketing, activism and the sexual professions.
We get a presentation about queer thought by queer thinkers who had no formal backing and were still able to exert influence on the media. They are the ones who made it possible for the GLBT community to advance in the media field. The book in essence is about how queer academics think about community based rebellion and what happens afterwards. We see how GLBT people use and are used by the media. Our visibility has become a wanted commodity now.
This is an important book us and it says a great deal. It is both scholarly and readable at the same tine.

This book is a collection of papers presented at a symposium held at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, D.C. on September 20-22, 1985 sponsored by the NAS Institute of Medicine.

The Lean Enterprise Memory Jogger is worth its weight in gold !. In 150 small pages it describes the lean management process excellently. More importantly it gives a recommended route for implementing lean and when to use the tools - just work through the guide. The book is very well written and easy to read, with clear steps for the tools and good explanations. Great to carry around with you. Of course its small size does mean there are some limitations. There is no background to lean, or case studies, and little discussion of different scenarios. Having said that though, this little book has made the process of implementing lean clearer to me than books two or three times the price. Well worth the money !.

This fun exciting book educates and entertains children as young as three years of age. It's a colorful thirty-two page book that has charming little critters on each page. The critters are so cute and playful they will engage and entertain little children as well as adults. There is the imaginary "quidelldeft" frolicking about from cover to cover; three serene whales checking out pink crab in the blue ocean depths; green and golden ducks; push-me-pull-me worm; silly pink pig with a frog on his head and more. All of this to teach little ones how to recognize and print the five most difficult letters of the alphabet: "b, d, p, q and and s."

If your'e interested in French literature or Balzac, you'll like this book -- it's clearly written and offers a fascinating account of Balzac as a sociological novelist who was interested in how new forms of family took shape in the 19th century. But this is also required reading for anyone interested in the history of marriage and kinship, because Lucey shows that in the 1830s and 1840s, France was already debating what forms of the family were legitimate and what role same-sex relations would have to the relatively new Civil Code. A learned, gracefully written book that will teach you something genuinely new!

this is a beautiful notebook if you like Asian graphics. Seems a little pricey for what you get, but it's a neat novelty notebook.

Moncure Alphabet Books by Jane Belk Moncure are wonderful, easy for younger children and children in school to learn the alphabet, start learning to read, and some books have some counting and the books present the letters and things that start with the letters. The illustration are great and the wording is fine. I remember these books when I was in school. They gave fun adventures and kids I think will get alot of enjoyment learning to read and know the alphabet along with the help of parents, teacher, librarians, grandparents, and a aunt like me reading and helping my nieces and nephrews to read and all. A great learning story books.
