Remember when you first fell in love; that feeling which overpowers you and consumes your entire being? You HAVE to be with your lover or you'll die. Then came the marriage proposal; THEE question you waited for, prayed for, and almost died for.

True Love is filled all of these emotions that will take you back to your own wedding proposal. It is a great read and makes the perfect gift for a new bride (or even an old one!!!). The true stories in this book are engaging and easy to read through quickly since we're in the "micro wave" time frame. Some of the stories are humorus while others might solicate emotions of frustration and even anger. But they all leave you with that "ahhhhh" feeling when the "Will you marry me?" question is asked. These true-life couples will help any young couple plan their engagement and wedding.

The book also contains a section with a list of engagement rings that can be chosen and are proper to chose. For example: A bride born in October may choose an opal engagement ring because opals symbolize hope. At the end there are pages to fill in about your own wedding, such as: Our Wedding Day with names of the best man, groomsmen, maid of honor, bridesmaids etc; The Groom's Memoirs and the Bride's Memoirs; and a Certificate to be filled in on your wedding day.

The book is also sprinked with great quotes and fillers from various people and even celebrities such as John Tesh and Connie Selleca's proposal and the Rev. Billy and Ruth Graham among others. Poems and quotes from Shakespear, Percy Bysshe Shelley, and Charles Dickens also fill the pages.

I highly recommend this wonderful, inspiring book filled with love stories.

True Love--how often do we dream of the perfection of true love without know what it really is? Eva Marie Everson is an author who understands the love that God would give us. All we have to do is turn to Him and ask. Then--in real life apply God's principles to our mortal love and marriage. All the guide lines are given in God's word, (the Bible), but, when that most important moment in a man and woman's life comes to unite--how much thought of God do we really give. This book, "True Love", "Engaging Stories of Real--Life Proposals", would be a wonderful read for anyone contemplating "popping" the question! Our own story, which appears on page 101, is a prime example of how well Eva Marie understands the joy and emotion involved when that moment comes to each couple. The sum of all the stories, as in ours, is that the marriage will work when there is a third member in that marriage. Jesus in the hearts of each couple will keep that spark of "True Love" in the life journey that two people choose to travel together. With a God centered life together, you are already a winner. Thank you, Eva Marie for including Cliff & Me in your lovely book. We are honored to be included in such good company.

This book reflects the beautiful gift of love.

This book is a classic look at true love.

Special Forces and Army Ranger training didn't prepare me for the most important battle of my life: overcoming years of military training and finding the art of appreciating the delicacy of the perfect moment for the perfect marriage proposal. True Love : Engaging Stories of Real-Life Proposals by Eva Marie Everson does just that. Guys don't pass this book up as a "chick flick" sort of thing! It's going to be you on the bent knee with your future, as you hope it will unfold from that moment on! For those bold souls, (and that goes for you women of action who decide to propose e.g. the author Eva Marie), read and learn. Those who fail to plan, plan to fail! This book's many stories about how men and women accomplished the perfect proposals (well, not always perfect!) but always conducted with the fine art of being at our most human; was great reading! I didn't realize this book was of the "Christian Bookstore" fare and like every great book the Bible and Shakespere are referred to. However, because this book has applicability to the most wonderful human condition of being in love and proposing marriage it deserves the widest possible readership. Fortunately, the author had that in mind. So go get it. This book is a whole lotta fun that encouraged me to ask all of my Army buddies about their proposal stories! HOOHAH!

So much for any prophetic insight on my end! I had a friend recommend this book to me, and, on a whim, I took him up on it and purchased the thing. I wasn't sure there would be much in here for me, and I'm still not convinced I have anything close to a prophetic gift. But...

This book moved me on a number of levels. From its biblical view of the full range of prophecy (not just predicting the future), to its balanced look at the gifts of the Spirit in the church, to its unflinching honesty about the mistakes of the past few decades, "Understanding Prophetic People" is full of wisdom that can be applied retroactively, in the present, and into the future. Not only did Sandford's words touch my intellect and theological mind, they touched my heart and spirit in unexpected ways. The chapter on "Wilderness Sojourns" alone was worth the price of the book for me.

Through this author's contrite, yet direct, telling of the truth, God spoke to me from these pages. While I grew up in charismatic churches and saw saw some amazing things, I also saw numerous imbalances and abuses along the way. From this book, I found myself reading passages aloud to my wife, and we both laughed--sometimes in joy, other times in near pain--at similar lessons we've learned or are still learning.

For anyone who wants to know God and be used by Him, this is essential reading. It also provides solid advice for pastors dealing with such giftings in their congregations. I'm sure glad I picked up the book on a whim. Or maybe it was something more. Maybe, just maybe, God wanted to speak to me. Perhaps to you too!

I would recommend this book to anyone who needs a better understanding of the Prophetic gift. One does not neccessarily has to be a prophet to understand the gift or be interested in it. The writer uses his own experience as a Prophet to show us the readers how important the prophetic gift is, but also how much so called and false appointed prophets have misused and misrepresented God gift given through his Holy Spirit. Read it for yourself and be the judge, AS WE SAY DON'T JUDGE A BOOK BY IT COVER, BECAUSE THE INSIDE OF IT CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE! GOD BLESS YOU

This is the most accurate, real, honest, revealing book on understanding prophets I have ever read. Sanford covers issues such as early prophetic experiences, personality traits, initial calling, misunderstandings from the Body of Christ, the extreme training and processing of prophets, and various ways prophets minister. He shares the true spirit of a prophetic person identifying where this office fits and functions in the church. Sanford also is personal in sharing his own battles and victories which other prophets will relate too, and heave a sigh of relief knowing they are not crazy! I had been praying for a book like this, and God has answered! This is a training manual every leader should be required to read. Not only for the benefit of the church, but for the prophets who are frustrated due to leaderships lack of understanding and suffer in silence. Read this book!

I was really impressed with the book, "Why Is The Church Still Here?"

Particularly, with all the research that had to have gone into the project,it compels one, to at least, consider these facts to be true.

Being one, that is not in any wise a "Bible scholar", and have never found the Bible to be an "easy read"; much less the Book of Revelation, I must say "Why Is The Church Still Here?" made it quite understandable, indeed. Scriptures were given by Evangelist Frazier to back up every thought or opinion, so as not to influence one to go along simply on his "say-so". I would encourage everyone to read this book. Whether you are a believer or just someone searching for truth in this present age. Surely, you will be most enlightened, to say the least!.

I wait with anticipation for any future books published by Evangelist Calvin Frazier. with all the research that you had to have done. It was well written and VERY understandable.

Iam by NO means a Bible scholar, much less knowledgeable when it comes to the Book of Revelation, but I must say that with your backing up every statement you made with scripture, makes one believe it to be just the way you interpret it.

God bless you and I am looking forward to your next one!

This book was written with compassion and God-given enlightenment. The author explained, in laymens' terms, so that All would be able to understand such an in depth book, as Revelation. It was comforting to read and understand, and the Biblical references made actually changed my views on the rapture as it relates to the Bible. I STRONGlY encourage those who want a better understanding of the book of Revelation, to get this book. One will certainly be pleased and comforted. My sincere thanks to the author for allowing God to direct him.

I look forward to reading his next publication

... The author did a wonderful job in writing and publishing his first book. He has given me a more clarification on the book of Revelation in which never came to mind before. He broke down the seven churches indicating how the same spirits exist as of today, showing how lukewarm many so-called Christians still are.
Also, he went back indicating the different famines in the land from the days of Abraham, which are still current today in India and Africa, which indicates another fulfillment of the Word of God concerning diseases, such as Anthrax. The author also bought up in Chapter 6 of his book "Here is Wisdom", indicating us to "watch as well as pray", because with the wars that are presently taking place, property that is being caught by flames unawares, children being molested and raped, and young people murdering each other, "the mark of the beast" is slowly arriving.
Anyone in need of any clarification of the book of Revelation, I would highly recommend a thorough reading of this book.
The Lord has blessed Evangelist Frazier with knowledge of the Word of God and I look forward to reading his next publication.

I just wanted to write a few lines to let you know how much I enjoyed your book. It's not often that I have and oppurtunity to read something so well written. In the past I've read books that when I finished reading I'm not sure what I've read. But this was not the case with your book. When I started reading I could not stop until I was finished. So every night I read your book understanding clearer what God wanted us to know about the end times. I'm glad that you took the time to write this book for people like myself who wants a clear understanding of the word of God. I truly hope that you will continue to write book that a layperson can read and understand.

Once again a job well done! Sincerely with the Love of God in my heart keep writing and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why is the Church Still Here? by Evangelist Calvin Frazier is a timely, and thought provoking book. The author has researched his topic thoroughly. Every point that he makes is backed up with scripture. The book is well written, and direct.

The author gets his points across in a clear and concise manner. Calvin Frazier presents an interpretation of the end times from a different, and interesting perspective. He will encourage you to examine your own beliefs, and when you have finished the book, you will open your Bible. Actually, you will more than likely open your Bible before you finish the book so you can read it along with the book. I think that will please the author, because he states: "My intentions are for you not to just accept what I am saying, but to go to the scriptures to read the word of God, and not depend on man's interpretation."

Why is the Church Still Here? is a book well worth reading.

St.Clair si most definetly a Magi, and has broken through the veil of duality and illusion...and in his book "Zen Of Stars" he tries to help others in doing the same...besides explaining astrology and earth changes that are happening and that possibly "could" occur....he weaves a most wonderful picture of his life, telling how spirit has always been a part...he also explains where we all come from, which of course is "Cosmos" or the "Stars"....I would recommend this book highly, especially for anyone on a spiritual path, who is looking for answers...the most important one is that they must look within...

All I can say about this book is WOW!! I stumbled upon Micheal St.Clair by accident (or rather synchronicity) via an online video, and I was instantly hooked and bought the book here. This book will take you on a journey that afterwards you'll be asking yourself whether you are awake, sleep-walking or dreaming... What impressed me about the author was his precociousness as a child and his depth of knowledge to how the universe works. I just don't understand how astrologers do it; however, after reading this book, I realized that Micheal St.Clair is truly gifted beyond belief. If you have pondered, wondered and searched for answers your entire life, then this is one book that will provide the quantum-leap (jump-start) to a higher level of understanding and knowledge.

As a sequel to Talon's great adventure, I didn't think it could top its predeceasor. Well, I was wrong. It not only matches it, it surpasses it. Diana has found her niche in her woven tale of dragons and humans. Brinn is outstanding, strong and compassionate, definitely a character I can relate to, and the story is more passionate than ever. The complete Book Of bible Prophecy is a pretty amazing book. For one its only slightly over 200 pages long and yet its filled with information about bible prophecy. Its very coherent and its easy to read; its very scholarly and Lays out Bible prophecy very clearly for the end times. The Book is laid out in outline form which makes it easy to follow and also makes it a good reference for farther more indept study. Hitchhcock explains the different views on Millennialism and on the rapture; He shows us when a prophet is a prophet; He gives us ten key reason why prophecy is important; And six things knowing prophecy can do for us; He lists ten key events in Bible Prophecy; And ten key places; He gives us mini commentaries on the three key Prophetic passages in the Bible- Daniel; Jesus' Prophetic discourse in Matthew 24; and The Book Of the revelation of Jesus Christ; And Hitchcock answer's fifty key questions on Bible prophecy, to close the book. This is a must read and reference for any and everyone interested in Bible prophecy. And I would also recommend this as a gift for everyone, if could be a good witnessing tool as people can follow the prophecies, as they unfold in front of our own eyes.

Excellent overview of pre-mill/pre-trib/dispensationalism
Helpful Votes: 26 out of 27 total.
Review Date: 2002-05-06
Mark Hitchcock has compiled an excellent primer on end-times prophecy as it relates to the pre-millenialist/pre-tribulation rapture camp. This is essentially a well organized compilation of a popular church perspective on end-times events advocated by many, including the popular Hal Lindsey (Late Great Planet Earth) and Tim Lahaye (Left Behind series). On the back cover, the author's information has him pursuing a doctoral degree from Dallas Theological Seminary so it stands to reason that this book is dispensational. Most of the scripture references are from the New Living Translation, a bit odd but then again the publisher of the book is Tyndale, which publishes the NLT as well.

The book is a very clear and well organized and will teach you prophecy from their viewpoint. While the book claims to be 'complete' it really only gives you very, very short explanations of the other viewpoints. Nonetheless, there is a wealth of information included on other subjects that most other books on prophecy omit. I especially appreciate that fact that the author treats other viewpoints of prophecy graciously and doesn't ridicule them. There are many excellent charts, outlines, and lists included in the book that makes this an excellent reference source. There is a question and answer section at the end of the book that is particularly useful. The typesetting and layout are modern and very well done.

I was hoping that this book would deal with 2 Thess. 2:1-4 and the timing of the rapture but the author has avoided it as many in the pre-trib camp do. While these verses and the chapter in general are referenced about eight times throughout the book, it is always in reference to other events described within (restrainer, power & signs, antichrist seated in temple, day of the Lord, etc). There is no integration of this set of verses as they concern timing with the pre-trib doctrine, probably since this is a problem verse that just doesn't work with pre-trib doctrine. For an excellent treatment on this subject for comparitive study get Robert Van Kampen's book "The Rapture Question Answered." Van Kampen's book is an argument against pre-trib so be prepared for a more confrontational tone; but it is a must read if you want to be exposed to other equally valid viewpoints on the rapture.

I definitely recommend this book to anyone interested in the subject but make sure your studies are balanced with books on other viewpoints (preterist, pre-wrath, amillenialism) and make up your own mind about what the scriptures really do say. Too often, authors of books include information that make their case but leave out facts that will weaken (sometimes considerably) their position. By studying as many viewpoints as possible, you'll get a larger set of facts in which to base your opinion on. Just because it's in print doesn't mean it's correct. There are many learned and Godly people with differing viewpoints so don't hang your hopes on just one set of theories, no matter how persuasive or popular they might be.

I have been studying bible prophecy for years and have read most books on the subject including many of Mark Hitchcocks, but this one is clearly the most easy to understand for the layman. Samuel Waldron has provided a very clear and easy to follow understanding of Biblical prophecy from the a-millennial perspective. Anyone can read this and follow his very compelling argument. This work is an excellent starting point for reading about a-millennialism. Agree or disagree with the author, he will give you much to think about and work through. Fair, even-handed, and Biblical you will not be disappointed. The only weakness of this book is on the chapter on parables and end times. Waldron is not as strong here as in the rest of the book. However, this does not detract from the overall value of the book. A must read for those just beginning to seek to understand a-millennialism. This is also a good book to give to a pre-millennialist because of his fair and kind treatment of their view of last days. While Waldron does not waver in his convictions, he writes with a kindness toward those who disagree.

Simple, Straightforward End Times Theology

Although the author doesn't directly say it, Waldron presents in this book a simple, straightforward case for amillennialism. He does a good, thorough job of addressing the flaws of the extremely popular dispensational premillennialism ("Left Behind" theology). He avoids excessive use of technical jargon, and is easy to follow.

Waldron here, contrary to what many people may think of amillennialists, is very emphatic about the Bible being God's inerrant, inspired Word. He uses a simple approach to interpreting the Scriptures' stand on the end times -- start with the clear, literal passages as a basis, then build upon them with the less clear, figurative passages. He provides a several diagrams to make his views even easier to grasp.

This title is an excellent alternative to the "Left Behind" theology so prominent today. I recommend it highly.

Waldron's book is titled "The End Times Made Simple," and for the most part he demonstrates the truth of that title. I have to add the caveat that understanding the end times will never be as simple as many other biblical doctrines. However, in this book, Waldron shows that the end times don't have to be as hard to understand as we tend to make them.

He begins the book with some simple principles of interpretation that are very helpful. When reading the bible we should read the clear before the difficult, the literal before the figurative and the general before the detailed. Such simple advice will go miles in helping us understand prophecy. For the most part, people who want to understand the end times run straight to the books of Daniel and Revelation, two of the mmore difficult, figurative and detailed books in the bible. Although he didn't state it this way, one of the strengths of the amillennial position that Waldron espouses is its emphasis on interpreting the prophetic books in light of the rest of the bible, rather than the other way around. Waldron's three simple principles of interpretation help the reader do this. The bible is full of prophetic material, which, if read first will give the student of bible prophecy a trajetory for reading books like Daniel and Revelation.

From there, Waldron goes on to show the two-age view of world history and it is at this point that he shows the beautiful simplicity of God's prophetic plan. He spends a good deal of time describing this and comparing the various end-times views with this model. His exposition of Revelation 20 is a particular strength in this regard. In my opinion Waldron proves his case when he states that the amil view is the biblical view.

The latter part of the book answers many of the knotty questions surrounding prophecy such as the relationship of the church and Israel, the intermediate state, heaven, hell, eternal punishment and things like this. In doing this he covers most of the bases on issues that come up.

I am thankful for this book because it is scrupulously Biblical. It is unfortunate that those who hold the amil position are often dismissed in evangelical circles. Books like this one need to be widely circulated so that the church can see that the amil view (which is the dominant historic view of the church) is clearly taught in the Scriptures. That is not to say that there are no problems or issues that can't be debated. However, those who write amils off as "non-literalists" or as those who don't take the bible seriously will have to reconsider their view if they read books like this one.

A thoughtful and well argued introduction to amillennial eschatology, but far from simple

Samuel Waldron has done the Christian community a great service by writing a terrific book on the theological underpinnings of amillennialism for public consumption. We are inundated by the crazy, ever-changing predictions and end-times gloom of Hal Lindsey, the Zionist bombast of John Hagee, and a wide belief in the theologically vacuous notion of rapture. In the public sphere, support for various interpretations of the Bible depend more on how loudly and confidently the various proponents shout them than on any careful examiniation of their Biblical roots. It is the Christian Evangelists (the so-called dispensationalists) who shout the loudest, but are they correct? In this book, Dr. Waldron carefully examines the Biblical arguments that are commonly used to support dispensationalism, and systematically refutes them one by one. If you are looking for the antidote to aggresive dispensationalists, this is it.

The first half of the book is taken up describing the eschatalogical system of the Bible. Particular detail is placed on contrasting the amillennial and pre-millennial/dispensational lines of arguments. It is clear that Dr. Waldron has had many disputes with dispensationalists and he sets up his arguments on a firm foundation. In particular, he outlines his hermeneutical framework on how to interpret the Bible (i.e. how we know what we know) along a rational line. My personal view is that even once you make the leap of faith to accept that Christ died to save mankind, you are still a long way from the dispensational position and you need to be wearing your dispensational glasses to interpret the Bible in this manner.

Subsequent chapters deal with `What is Hell', `Is there a difference between national Isreal and biblical Israel' (this is a biggie for people like Hagee who claim that his interpretation of the Bible demands that the US govt support national Israel no matter what), `what is Heaven', and `what does the Bible teach about the resurrection'. In short, there is a wealth of information in this book about the interpretation of the Bible (as it has been interpreted historically by the Catholic church and otherwise since the resurrection).

In spite of the title, this is anything but simple. You'll have to reread sections several times, and you'll certainly need your Bible handy to look at various passages and study them in context. This is the kind of book that contains a mountain of information in every paragraph, but your persistance will be well rewarded with new insights and knowledge about the Bible. This is not a book for theologians though, I think that anyone with the interest and motivation can work through this book. Highly recommended.

This book is a good and simple introduction to Amillenialism. This was not a complicated read, but it is a profittable read for someone new to the issues.

First the positives: This book does an excellent job showing the two-age (already/not yet) perspective from the Biblical perspective. Waldron does a good job on exegesis of the parables of Christ (Matthew 13), Paul's prose (1 Corinthians 15) and John's apocalypse (Revelation 20). He is sensitive to the diverse literary genre, unlike many.

Waldron also does a great job to show that Amillenialists do take the scripture seriously, and that we do do not spiritualize everything, as many Dispensationalists contend. Then towards the end of the book, he shows other important things to how you view Eschatology.

Now to the negatives: He holds to a strict Grammatico-Historical interpretation of the Bible, and this tends to have an autonomous bent. The Redemptive-Historical perspective (taking best of Grammatico-Historical and adding to it), however, says thatwe must view Christ as the ultimate end of all of scripture.

He also does not show that Eschatology starts in Genesis. This is to be expected since the book is an introduction, but it is a caveat of mine. The only other problem I had with the book is that on page 80 he spoke of the "plain meaning" meaning of a passage. This shows a naive view of language.

The only other problem has nothing to do with the author but the editor. There are problems with spelling, punctuation, etc. This is not the author's fault, but rests on the editor. That aside, this book is a must read for anyone new to the area of Eschatology.

Spirituality is something of which I have always been skeptical. Because I don't know much about it, apart from organized religion as it pertains to Christianity, I approached this book with a certain amount of dubiousness. I was determined to view it in an entirely objective manner. I am still unsure about the subject matter to an extent, but one thing is certain. It is not possible to read "Eyes of Sophia" without being pulled right in to the heart of the story.

This is the true, non-fiction tale of Alan, a retired art teacher, and Donna, a massage therapist and healer. Unknown to each other, and unbeknownst to each other, they both asked for direction and opened themselves up to spiritual guidance at critical times in their lives.

Donna's utilitarian question and subsequent dream led her on a quest. During this search she met Alan - a chance meeting which would turn out to be not coincidental at all. For it was revealed to Donna that Alan was the crux of her search - he was, metaphorically, the Tin Man, and it was Donna's altruistic purpose to help him find his heart. This in turn resulted in photographs of Donna in which confirming images were manifest. Among them, the eyes of Sophia. Donna's dream had come to fruition.

The ideology in this book comes from many different areas of spiritualism and religion. For me, this was a colossal learning experience.

What struck me most throughout the story were the synchronicities; not mere coincidences, but parallels between Donna's discoveries and Alan's life. There were so many of these on myriad levels, simultaneously chaotic and structured. It was incredible to learn that different events and occurrences are actually connected, and consolidate to form a big picture. Just when you think the various threads are too many and too unrelated, they are all pulled together and make perfect sense. The closed mind could never see these, but when pointed out they are obvious. It has inspired me to become more alert for synchronicity in my own life: there is much I may already have missed by not being aware. If Donna had not been so vigilant and acted directly on her true feelings, she may never have found Alan, and then he may never have found his heart. Two people would then have missed a chance at becoming their "authentic selves".

"Eyes of Sophia" is stimulating, intriguing, and at times pleasantly puzzling. Although a spiritual book, it offers benefit for all. This journey of two people is shared philanthropically to encourage, to inspire, and to affirm that it is indeed possible to find your heart.

In this book, Donna May and Alan Chien have shared the very interesting, unusual means by which they found each other, and what they learned from signposts along the way. In the process, the reader is presented with evidence of universal principles at work beyond our own intellect, that give form to the nature of unfolding events that we experience throughout our lives.

Relationships are among the most important alchemical caldrons of the soul, where we come to understand universal truths about ourselves, and realize the integration between the intellectual aspect of self and the spiritual nature of self. These truths, preserved also throughout centuries of mythological stories, go beyond personal opinion and religious or cultural dogma; they reveal to us directly and individually the true spirituality behind all life. Among many universal principles involved, philosophers have also provided written explanations. Jacob Boehme wrote long ago of his concept of counterpoise between good and evil, and Benedict Spinoza of his view of the organic interdependence in the necessity for all life. The choices that we make are choices that ideally are considered the "best for all concerned." However, "right" in one's judgment may be considered "wrong" to another, but as life unfolds, we see that what manifests is not necessarily what we would call "good or bad", and may be simply "necessary" for all concerned, all known and unknown matters considered.

Eyes of Sophia is about the Light of knowledge expressing through material conditions, providing important signposts uniquely meaningful to us, that help us to use wisdom in making appropriate choices affecting not only ourselves, but others, too. In following the way of the heart - Donna sees her significant dreaming experiences transcended as they are mirrored as synchronicities in reality. Also, "Tin Man" sings, "cause never was the reason;" of this, Alan realizes, "We seem to want to manipulate the lines of intention building our lives, but we can only follow their lead and choose within whatever is presented." In our dance of counterpoise with life's experiences, two intertwining threads make and remake our destiny: life's "Hermetic" reason for what we experience on Earth, and the choices we make while personally applying our own "reason" into the mix.

This would be an excellent "primer" for those who want to read metaphysics in action that goes beyond philosophical and theoretical treatises, into manifested reality. Eyes of Sophia is an easy to read documentation of Donna's and Alan's real life blueprint from a dream, to Love's union.

Coincidence has now become a dusty old relic in my dictionary of terms. Have always wished for 'just the right' term for what I knew was more than mere coincidence and after reading this book I now have it. Synchronicities, our lives are so filled with them and few of us heed them as did Donna May.

Eyes of Sophia enabled me to see with much greater understanding, 'the other side of the coin' in terms of relationships and what sometimes may be painful is part of a much greater plan over which we really have no control.

The photos were spectacular and the romance even more so. Having just read once again, 'The Mists of Avalon', it seemed quite COINCIDENTAL that the story also focused on 'The Tin Man' containing the words Sir Galahad!

Hopefully we will hear more from these two romantics and believers in Synchronocities.

This book is a deliciously suspenseful true love story that describes how Donna May met the man of her dreams, Alan Chien. While we know from the start where this love story will end, we don't know how two people from such different walks of life who don't know one another can recognize each other after their first chance meeting.

Told alternately from Donna's and Alan's point of view, this story demonstrates the way synchronicity operates in real life. Donna enters the story as an experienced healer, energy worker, and dream interpreter who is learning to better understand how to communicate with spirit. Alan just begins to discover these things as he witnesses first-hand the way Donna's waking dreams have real-life significance, and begins to find meaning in coincidental happenings in his life as well. Both Donna and Alan discover a deeper sense of love and connection between each other and all that is, as they learn to trust their hearts and spirits to guide their lives.

When I meet couples for the first time, I almost always ask them, "How did you two get together?", because I love to glimpse the way the spirit behind physical things pulls us closer to those we need at just the right time in our life. "Eyes of Sophia" shares these gifts of spirit with us as it opens and reveals a world of interpreting dream symbols, physical pain in our bodies, coincidences and synchronicities. This book shows how even the occasional disappointments and set-backs along the way have meaning, and are part of the grand design of life. I love the way this book effectively demonstrates how the more closely we observe the details (names, articles, dates, songs), the more meaningful our own life story can become. Donna May and Alan Chien's autobiographical tale is exactly the kind of sign-post people need to find the spiritual meaning behind coincidences in their lives, and learn how to live a dream-come-true.

This was very entertaining to read and it was different to read a story like this that is a true one. But it was so much more than that. I learned so much about how to get out of my own way in order to let my best come to me. It was easy to see when I was reading it and thought of myself and others I see that we block our own happiness and good things coming to us because we are afraid to act on the very feelings that will allow it to come to us. This is a little hard to explain but when you read it its easy to understand.

I will never ever again not do what is in my heart of hearts even if it is in against what somebody else thinks or what I grew up learning was the way to do it. I want what the magic they found and they make me understand how to go about it. By the time I got to the last chapter I had changed my whole thinking around about alot of things. Then I got to the last chapter and the pictures and wasn't just thinking different but knew that this is story is more than just written by people but is a story that also comes from somewhere far beyond here and from something much bigger than people.

Alan Chein says in the beginning that it was a gift to them that they are sharing. It was a gift to me and I'm going to read it again.
