When I was a little boy (more than 30 years ago) I purchased spectacle lens and made a refractor. I was so happy, when I seen a craters on the MOON.
I have a same feeling, when I'm viewing The Apollo Prophecies. Amazing photography, amazing book (as a artefact). Thank You Mr. Kahn and Mr. Selesnick.

THANK YOU PHILIP MOORE! What a great book. I read it in about three days and am using it for reference as I study subjects covered in this book more closely. It was very intelligent and inspiring. I had no idea the Bible said some of the things it does. Moore was very clear, concise, and honest. His discussion the the messiahship of Yeshua is fantastic, particularly showing how ancient jewish commentary does not agree with modern jewish commentary on messiahnic scripture. Also, the discussion on the end times was fantastic. I enjoyed the fact that he wasn't a "date setter" and yet he wasn't afraid to give his opinion on when the end could be (which was very well backed up by scripture). If you are interested in anything that is in this book and you aren't sure if you should buy it. BUY IT. Now, I think I will order the rest of his books.

A great historical novel

Steven Merrill does a great job bringing to life a very remote and confusing period of human history in Mesopotamia. The story keeps the interest of the reader all the time.
It has all the ingredients to be one great historical novel: deep knowledge of historical facts, mingled with a talent to capture the right tone of narrative, and the ability to bring the most interesting aspects of the characters' lives in this period of history.
The scarcity (if there is any book at all) of literature that deals with this most interesting period makes this book a must for fans of history, literature, and simply those who still amaze at how some can choose evil and others good. And for those believers in the one God of the Bible, this book is an extraordinary event.
"Nimrod" not only is a fascinating read: it gives answers, explanations that concern the deepest of the human soul and the destiny of its spirit.
Personally, I couldn't put this book down. Hope to read more from this author.

I didn't know a whole lot about Nostradamus before reading this book except from several History Channel shows I'd seen about him recently. So, when I decided to learn more about his quatrains, I decided to go with a book from a series (for Dummies) that I knew I liked. This book doesn't go into all 900+ quatrains, but that's not its intention. It is a good book for an introduction into Nostradamus's quatrains, his background, and the history surrounding and behind many of the quatrains. This book, like the other Dummies books I've read is very easy to read, in an organized, easy-to-understand text. The author lets you know that various scholars have different interpretations of the quatrains, and she explains the meanings according to her understanding/interpretation by breaking down the quatrains line by line and giving clarification and background information without bogging readers down with a lot of hard to understand and technical mumbo jumbo. She presents quatrains that are believed to be about the same topic in each chapter including the French royalty/Medicis, World Wars/Hitler, French Revolution/Napoleon, and the Millenium. This book is not meant to be the end all/be all of Nostradamus. It is intended to be a good introduction and starting point to the study of his predictions and the author has done a good job of it.

Back to the Future?

After Sep llth, I remembered this book and re-read it. Why?Because he believes Nostradamus wrote many quatrains concerning the future rise of militant islamic leaders and a massive muslim invasion,by land and sea, of Western Europe. This will be a long destructive war that ends with a european victory and possibly a prominent French role, but until then the U.S. will be effectively out of the picture. Why? Noorbergen's book, written in 1981, contrasts with R.W. Welch's Comet of Nostradamus written l9 years later, to the extent that Welch proposes a 'minimalist' view involving only the countries of southern Europe, and a comet hitting in the Aegean in 2004 - incredible marksmanship!, whereas Noorbergen seems to propose a wider war and a comet impacting the Atlantic near the Azores. In closing, I don't know why the authors don't write their own reviews so that you could have a more faithful understanding. But I do know that interpreters of Nostradamus' quatrains studiously avoid giving credit to their fellow practioners.

By the numbers, including all the scholarly work on the topic from the sources of the 19th Century, the author makes his points. He misses nothing that I know of, and his work takes into account all the sources that you and I cannot lay our hands on. Priced by the footnote, this book is probably a massive bargin. The bibliography of ancient and secondary works on the topic is complete as of the present. The conclusions drawn are clear. The entire orginal document on the passion of Perpetua and Felicita is a Montanist writing in all its three parts. This is argued beyond a doubt based on current scholarly knowledge.
The Roman Church has a great deal to answer for as regards the modification of Primitive Christianity to suit its episcopal needs. That the C.U.A. published this is refreshing. And, the book convincingly pushes the perception of the gifts of the Holy Spirit up into the middle of the 3rd Century B.C.E. This is a must read for anyone interested in the historical manifestations of the Holy Spirit in early Christianity. For indeed, it was "Christianity" that this book is speaking of by the late Second Century CE. And, by this time, the Roman Church had institutional needs of its own. The distortion of the legacy of Perpetua and Felicita to meet the needs of the patriachcal Roman Church and its cessationist position is clearly explicated in this essential work.
