On the last night Lottie MacElwain would ever be able to share with her sister Maddy, Maddy gave one last prophecy.

He would follow her and try to kill her on Halloween. In trying to survive, Lottie would find love. However, the trick for everything to succeed and for her to survive, Lottie would have to accept a moose.

A moose of all things! A giant, ungainly creature that she would not be able to find in Toronto. And how exactly could a moose help her? Maddy never made it easy to understand her predictions. Then she had been brutally, ritualistically murdered and now Maddy's killer was stalking Lottie. She decided to escape to a cottage her family used to go to in Newfoundland. There were sure to be moose around, and hopefully the killer would not find her.

Arriving in Newfoundland and driving to the cottage in Dildo - yes, Dildo, Newfoundland - Lottie finds her moose and a giant, hunk of a man. A neighbor she remembered from childhood, Perry Sullivan had horrible, or as he referred to it, unique taste. He stood there in a crazy shirt with a moose on it, but Lottie still found herself drawn to him. The moose had inadvertently sent her to him. Would Perry be the one able to help her? Or was there more to the moose than imaginable?

I loved Last Prophecy. There was suspense, humor and the growing love between two very likeable characters. I typically avoid stories written in first person, but I feel that it worked for this story - possibly because it was a short story. With the knowledge of the brutal killer stalking Lottie hovering in the background of this story, Ms Andrus was able to deliver a heart-pounding story that still focused on the love growing between the hero and heroine. I will definitely be looking for more books by Jennie Andrus.

Lottie did not want to believe her sister when she predicted Lottie would be attacked by a serial killer. But her sister's weird predictions have always proven themselves true in the past, and now her sister has been murdered. Couple those facts with the terrifying calls Lottie is now receiving from the mysterious killer, and Lottie is convinced.

But her sister's prediction ordains she must `accept' the moose if she is to survive the imminent attack, which is drawing near as Halloween night approaches. There aren't many moose in Toronto, and Lottie quickly decides to run, hiding away at the cabin she inherited from her family. But is the moose literal, or could it take the form of the hunky neighbor wearing a moose t-shirt that she remembers crushing on in her youth?

First off, I have to say I really loved this story. I was not quite sure what to expect, and was worried the story might be a little silly. Within the first few pages, I fell easily into the author's groove. Jennie Andrus has penned a sexy paranormal tale with The Last Prophecy fraught with suspense, yet peppered with a generous sprinkling of humor throughout the book. Using humor keeps the story fun, while never detracting from the seriousness of Lottie's plight.

Lottie is intelligent, resourceful, and delightfully unique. She meets her match in her hunky neighbor, Perry, who is just as eclectic as she is. The author creates a charming couple with these unusual people, and delivers few twists in the story that will take the reader by surprise, but are completely natural and sensible when considering the clues to that point in the story.

Robert Tippett is one from the few who dared to research and interpret the Nostradamus Prophecies. He came up with a masterpiece of work which can be easily identified to be so for the following reasons:

1. He very well researched History and matched the quatrains in it.

2. The letters of Nostradamus to his son and to King Henry of France, describe a system through which Nostradamus explains how his readers should research and work out quatrains in some proper sequence to derive meaningful results. Robert Tippett outlines these letters to us following the instructions of Nostradamus. His work is not some random interpretation or belief. It follows a system and this is what makes it to be a masterpiece.

3. When referring to the Prophecy of the future, Robert does not assign dates to them like others do. At this stage of his research he concentrates on the events.

The first question which rises in one's mind is whether Robert has managed to interpret the precise future events or not. Myself cannot know. But it cannot skip my mind what is happening round us on this planet today. The wars in the Gulf, Iraq and Lebanon, the 9-11 destruction and further terrorism, have caused a religious revolution of the Muslim world against Christianity and the Hebrews. It is almost every night in the news, that the Muslims are taking oaths to revenge Christianity. Robert's interpretations are in the spirit of today's times which makes one wonder if we are living the times of the Apocalypse. The book's fascinating story might come right or not, but its overall picture cannot be far away from reality. It is worth considering its possibilities in order not to be taken by surprise when the events will begin.

Beginnings of Pentecostal in England

The Lost Tribes of Israel, written by the founder of the Pentecostal Movement in England (circa 1908) can definitely be termed an eye-opening book. The author, Richard Reader Harris, presents a series of addresses to his Pentecostal brethren proving they were direct descendants of the ten lost tribes of Israel! "The discovery and the acknowledgement of the lost tribes would revolutionize the whole world, give an impetus to Scriptural study, and encourage men in a wonderful degree to believe the promises of God."
"If this be true (our Anglo-Israel heritage), it adds tremendously to our responsibilities, and opens before us in a way that no human tongue can describe; spiritual possibilities, temporal possibilities, national possibilities, and universal possibilities."
About the Author...
Richard Reader Harris (1847-1909) held the prominent and respected position of British barrister and King's Counselor. This was a lifetime appointment that recognized his success and skill in the legal profession.
Although an atheist in his early life, he became convinced of the truth of the Bible after hearing the Anglo-Israel message. This life-changing experience caused Reader Harris to leave his successful legal career to become a Methodist minister, valued Christian leader, and author of over 34 books. In 1891, he founded the Pentecostal League of Prayer, an interdenominational group, which, within a few short years grew into the immense Pentecostal movement in Britain.
The remainder of his life was spent ministering to the British royalty as well as to the poor in the slums of London. Oswald Chambers, a revered evangelist, missionary, author and close friend of Harris considered him to be one of the "Lord's choicest saints."
Excellent historical book on the thoughts of the founders of the pentecostal movement in England.

This novel has to be one of my top ten. I am a huge fan of irony and this play has plenty of it. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes English literature or, like me, who thinks that irony is entertaining. My favorite part of the play is when Macbeth becomes enraged at the witches and damns himself in the ironic phrase in which he damns "all of those that trust him." By damning everyone who trusts the witches, he actually damns himself. I would also recommend this book to anyone who is interested in English history because this play tells the reader a lot about the Enlish culture at the time of Shakespeare. I enjoyed this novel emmensely and I hope you do also.

Maimonides' Guide of the Perplexed is a book purposefully riddled with false conclusions and dead ends to hide the author's intentions: the revealing of the two great secrets of the Torah. Bakan's book carefully examines these topics, and reveals for the reader unfamiliar with the techniques of Jewish Medeval Philosophy (inspired by Muslim philosophers like Al-Farabi) the heart of those secrets. Well written and concise, one should read the Guide first, and then Bakan's book second. All the pieces will then fall together.

Dr. Walvoord is a noted scholar on Biblical prophecy. I have read several of his books and commentaries. Dallas Theological Seminary should be blessed to have him as a Professor(Emeritus). He opens up the Prophecies of the bible with great proficiency. I read this book "major bible prophecies" and I must admit my eyes opened in a new way. He does an excellent Job explaining the various prophecies of the bible. Get the book and READ THIS BOOK. GREAT BOOK. Spend the few dollars and buy it. What a great investment.
