Prophecy The Books

This was a very informational and interesting book. I would recomend for everyone interested in biblical history to read this book. Even though it has to do with the Torah, any Christian could also read it. The Bible Code is very accurate and could be used in a protective way. It cannot tell the future, but can help us find out what lay ahead in our lives. I liked this book better than any other I read.

It's the best book you could ever find on psychic developement. It has everything, to energy manipulation to psychometry. She shows you how to open up psychicaly step by step and the exercises are really gonna help you to develop you psychic skills. I think it's weird no body wrote a review before me because it's really the best book on psychism.

Written from the 'mind of faith'. Jesus Christ returns NOT as any deliverer or some colonizer of restoration. He comes a second time as GOD - holy, almighty, without any further offers or negotiations for religious man. The bible plainly indicates the 'rapture' to be the end of the present world. The plain teaching of scripture is that Christ is the Israel of God. In the ONE sacrifice and judgment upon the sinless SON, God the Father has centered all reference and understanding and ultimate meaning in the PERSON of the Living Word. Jesus Christ is the chief elect - Isa.42.1. The Greater Commission is God sending His Son - Isa.49.1-6.
It is seen herein that it is not sufficient or becoming, actually, to simply appropriate the positions and righteousness displayed in scripture. We all are partakers - not energizers or sustainers of the christian life. This life NEVER comes separate from the Lord Jesus Christ.
As a dear friend has so long had it: "Will the Jesus of my belly continue to slay the Christ of His Cross?"

This book is the sequel to Lane E. Myers first novel, The Prophecy of Peace,and it takes the reader on a fast paced journey and a quest for a higher consciousness. Filled with action, intrigue and insight, it was difficult to put down and in fact I read it straight through without so much as taking a break. I can't remember the last time a book had that kind of impact on me. I would recommend this book, along with the first novel, to anyone who likes to have their brain stimulated while enjoying a fast paced ride. Filled with exciting action and dedicated heroes, it makes the reader wish that this story wasn't based in fiction. Truly a must read!

The novel covers the active lifetime of the prophet Jeremiah, which paralleled major political, cultural and sociological struggles in the Middle-East. It incorporates themes of the fall of the Kingdom of Judah, the destruction of Jerusalem, the exile of the Jewish people and the redaction of the bible. The movement of the narrative focus between lyrical renderings of landscape and analytical portrayal of biblical events is fluid, while the characters and events are introduced and supported in much authority and credibility. Indeed a wealth of archaelogical remains and actual texts helped reconstruct the period of reference, so that the reader feels involoved in something of much more importance than a normal 'story'.

As with all the booklets in Muncaster's "Examine the Evidence" series, this booklet packs a powerful punch of highly compelling and abundant evidence that the Bible must have been divinely inspired. Excellent concise, yet comprehensive presentation. The booklet size makes the content quickly digestable (and skeptical friends may be more likely to actually read it.)

In Doomsayers: Anglo-American Prophecy In The Age Of Revolution, Susan Juster (Associate Professor of History at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor), provides a perceptive and informative survey of the apocalyptic prophets of the 1790's and early 1800's. Visionaries (or perhaps simply deluded individuals), used the era's budding proliferation of newspapers, corresponding societies, penny pamphlets, voluntary associations and more to spread their predictions and prophecies. The foretellings of several hundred men and women in Britain and North America are deftly reviewed to give a general impression of how doomsayers' stories were formed, challenged, tested, and often ultimately discarded. Presenting the struggle between would-be prophets and their critics as part of a larger shift in societal norms in the age, Doomsayers is a thought-provoking, meticulously researched, accessibly presented and highly recommended account of an historically influential social and cultural phenomena.

Doomsday Delusions is a careful examination of the proper study of biblical prophecy and "end times" predictions in general. The authors start their study by way of introducing some of the more sensationalized accounts of "dooms day" which have fascinated American culture in the late 20th century-such as the David Koresh cult and the "saran cult" in Japan. Moreover, in the first chapter the authors construct their viewpoint which undermines contemporary Doomsday Preaching in light of two key problems. The first problem is Doomsday Preaching's failed prophecy and the second problem is the incorrect keys of interpretation used by the, so called, Doomsday Preachers. Most of the material related to incorrect interpretation methods used by the Doomsday Preachers is couched in a discussion of a "better method" of interpreting end-time prophecy in the Bible. This "better method" deals with the text per the genre type and, evidently by the authors, uses as key the characteristics of end-time prophecy outlined by Leon Morris as general characteristics of apokalypsis. The authors ask the question: "how is end-time prophecy to be interpreted?," and then answer, "The answer is that one should follow the standard fourfold procedure employed in the interpretation of the rest of the biblical materials, which is to look at the historically, culturally, grammatically, and theologically."

Who knew that the old time religion could be so funny? While these late-Cold War exegeses on Biblical prophecy certainly don't earn high marks in the accuracy department (for instance, Falwell's insistence that the Soviet Union will be implicated in the Final War of Armageddon requires its own exegesis 18 years after the collapse of the Berlin Wall), Falwell's self-righteous certitude and hyperbolic style in applying two thousand year old allegories to the contemporary (at least, contemporary in 1978) political scene make these eight cassettes a real joy to listen to.

Ok, I lied about that last part---there is NOTHING joyous, ever, about listening to the Rev. Jerry Falwell. In fact, after a few minutes of listening to the first of these EIGHT cassette tapes, I found myself hunting for sharp objects to shove into my ear canals. Put it this way---if there is a hell, I'm certain I know what will be playing over the sound system. I also found myself wondering if Falwell still retains any shred of credibility at all among his former followers when he makes predictions, and, if so, why? (My guess is that they haven't heard these startingly inaccurate predictions since they were first set down on magnetic tape.)

If you can find this treasure at a thrift store like I did, then go for it---I can't think of a more well-spent dollar. They will also make a fine gift for those who need their med levels adjusted.
