This book starts the Prince Valiant saga with Val as a child, his family's escaped from Thule, and his early days in King Arthur's court. Not only is it a fascinating story, but it's beautifully illustrated as well. In fact, Hal Foster's skill as a graphic artist raised comic strips to a new level, never to be equalled since. His attention to detail, layout, and obvious historical accuracy is breathtaking. I love every edition of the series, and eagerly await each next arrival, but the first one is particularly interesting because it sets the foundations for the series. Also, you can see how his artistic and storytelling skills gradually improve later in the series, but that gives a certain charm to his earlier works. Long live Prince Valiant!

Daniel and the Revelation

Review Date: 2006-09-08
His [Daniel's] prophecy is, in many respects, the most remarkable of any in the sacred record. It is the most comprehensive. It was the first prophecy giving a consecutive history of the world from that time to the end. It located the most of its predictions within well-defined prophetic periods, though reaching many centuries into the future. It gave the first definite chronological prophecy of the coming of the Messiah. It marksd the time of this event so definitely that the Jews forbid any attempt to interpret its numbers, since that prophecy shows them to be without excuse in rejecting Christ; and so accurately had its minute and literal predictions been fufilled down to the time of Porphyry, A.D. 250, that he declared (the only loophole he could devise for his hard-pressed skeptisism) that the predictions were not written in the age of Babylon, but after the events themselves had occurred. This evasion, however, is not now available; for every succeeding century has borne additional evidence to the truthfulness of the prophecy, and we are just now, in our own day, approaching the climax of its fulfillment.

I have gone through this book twice in my studies of the prophetic books of Daniel and Revelation. In my estimation it is the best book on the subject in or out of print. The book goes verse by verse, giving clear commentry, and is easy to understand.

Sours studies the deeper, symbolic and spiritual meanings underlying prophecies in the Gospels. He also has a wealth of historical knowledge that gives a wonderful context to understanding prophecies.

I learned a great deal from this book on how Jesus taught and the meaning behind His Words.

As a Turkish reader who's fluent in French, I never had the chance to read this book in its integrity. On the other hand, the Turkish translations are based on English translations, let alone the presence of the original texts that are missing in all of them. Though I didn't made up my mind concerning the possible publication in Turkish of the book, it will be very exciting for me to handle the book like a child getting the toy of his dreams...

And there are more things that is still going on today, that was writing in his book so I have to say it is the best book I ever read.

A fascinating thesis, convincingly argued and painstakingly documented. Ms. Karczewska is to be heartily commended for producing a volume of such scholarly integrity. Her work is a major contribution to the study of medieval literatures, church history, and cultures. Every scholar interested in the French middle ages must read this book!

Excellent scholarship & extremely well written; a must read!

A truly entertaining and thought provoking story. While the book is a work of fiction, it reads very much like a true to life story. The characters are very dimensional and made me feel as if I knew them. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking to escape to a better world. The ending will surprise you! Great Read.

Insightful, thought provoking and very entertaining. I am not a frequent reader of fiction, but this story has changed my mind. I was given this book to read by a friend and I didn't want to give it back! The characters are so real that I could swear I know these people. I am here to purchase my own copy and would urge others to do the same thing. You won't be disappointed!

A darkly delightful mythic milieu

Review Date: 2007-06-22
Brian Stoner's fourth book is easily as good as his other works, and his experience is showing in a bit of extra polish to his writing. The wonderful cast of characters is a big part of the experience. That's true in most books, but particularly Mr. Stoner's. He really knows how to make their personalities sparkle. The unlikely is to be expected and nothing is quite what it seems in the beginning. He covers a broad swath of mythological ground in this novel, neatly working it into the modern world that we know and live in. The action is subtle at first, but by the end of the book there really is something for almost everyone to enjoy here, including deep friendship, romance, wild conspiracy theories, daring adventure, battles of wits and subtle humor...and food! Mr. Stoner treats the reader to some particularly tasty sweets and treats in the course of the plot, as well as a few dips and spins. This book is a must for anyone that enjoyed his other novels or for any fan of a good story with characters that grab on to your heart and never let go.

Outstanding book on eschatology from Pre-Mill, Pre-Trib view
Helpful Votes: 12 out of 12 total.
Review Date: 1999-05-31
This is the best book on eschatology I've had the opportunity to read. It is scholarly, yet written for the average reader. The charts included in the book are both simple and helpful. Ice's teaching on the pre-tribulation rapture is a sensational piece of work. The greatest flaw of the book is occasional contradictions. This may come from different authors presenting their theories. I also found a couple of significant misprints. In my opinion the strongest part of the book is in the beginning, it falls off a little toward the end. Not nearly as comprehensive as Things To Come by Pentecost but I enjoyed it more. I highly recommend it for anyone studying prophecy.

Excellent treatment of premillennial Bible Prophecy

Kudos to Ice and Demy for fair, objective and clear examination of prophetical issues. While premillennialists (as am I) they also present the "other side of the coin" and discuss the pros and cons of each. Small graphics are used to illustrate many of the concepts. Good for the beginner or the well-read. A "must-have" for any serious prophecy student.

This book is a must read.

From their first book "The Alien Abduction Survival Guide" you will learn more on the unbelievable abductions that have followed Paul and Michelle over their lifetimes.

Michelle and Paul has known alot about these kind of Alien Agendas, that is because they have lived them, year after year.

Prophecy's Edge should make academics think twice before simply dismissing or ignoring the subject of abductions.

I highly recommend it!
