`The Prophecy' is a refreshingly new story aimed at younger readers and is fun for adults too. Fast paced and interesting, it draws you along wrapping you up in the story until you can't put it down. It is a quick and worthwhile read. I look forward to the continued story.

This is a good read for children and adults alike. Children will enjoy the fantasy of being able to journey from one world to the next and the action involved in the fight against mayhem, while adults will understand the story on another level.
The story flows from world to world naturally and characters are skillfully introduced at relevant points drawing them together for the climax. At the end of the book one is left wondering if Terry will be able to continue his journey into the other world and what will become of his friend Joe. One feels also that the central characters in the Southern Lands each have more to discover about themselves and the prophecies.

This is a wonderfully engaging tale, imaginatively written. An interwoven tale of two worlds - present day and a mystical land of an age long past - but is it? Once I started reading, it was difficult to put down! You'll find yourself drawn into the story and immersed into the lives of the characters. Highly recommended for all ages.

I heartily agree with the last reviewer about this book. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better book concerning America's future. Dr. Reagan's books are easy to follow and are saturated with Scripture. His books are written so that even the average reader can understand what is being said.

Do you know the number one question that Prophecy Experts are Asked is "Where is America in Bible Prophecy?" Well you can find out the truth about what the Bible has to say about America in prophecy by reading this excellent book. This book is an easy read and strait forward. It will convict you to start living like the Bible says. That Jesus could return at any moment. I have read most of Dr. Reagan's literary works you will be hard pressed to find another person that gives as much scripture instead of their opinion as Dr. Reagan.

A moving book with perhaps THE essential message of our time

Dr. Kaltreider has captured the essence of the dilemma facing the modern technological society of the West and increasingly of developing countries: the rape and disregard for the earth and for the interconnectedness of all life on the planet. The juxtaposition of the life led by Native Americans before the European conquest with the immense problems we face in our societies, our industries, our building ecological disaster is the fabric of many Native American prophecies which fortell a time of decision or a descent into complete destruction of humankind and much of the rest of the planet. The conversations with Chasing Deer do reveal a clear way to avoid the dire predictions as revealed in many Native American tribal legends, but that way requires us to acknowledge that we are in desperate straits and to embrace change in the direction of the life led by the first Americans, characterized by respect for all our relations on the planet, both animate and inanimate. For there is hope if, as Chasing Deer says, if we take as our motto "Mitakue Oyasin"--we are all related.

Book of Mormon and catastrophism
Helpful Votes: 0 out of 2 total.
Review Date: 2006-06-19
The Book of Mormon gives evidences too catastrophic events. "The Lord God surely shall visit all the House of Israel at that day, some with his voice, because of their righteousness, unto their joy and salvation, and others with thundering and the lightings of his power by temptest, by fire, and by smoke, and vapor of darkness, and by the opening of the earth, and by the mountains that shall be carried up" 1 Nephi 19:11

The Book of Mormon prophet Samuel the Lamanite prophesied that a great earthquake would transform the land, at the time of the Saviors death, "the earth shall shake and tremble". The events described by Samuel the Lamanite were catastrophic in nature, he tells the reader that the rocks both above and below the earth will break apart and that "darkness will cover the earth for three days". The proposal surmises that the earthquake will cause the plates to break and exponentially increase volcanic activity, the result of which will be "sufficient ash to blot out the sun for three days".

The source of disruption is a large planet intercepting into earths orbit. The possibility exists that a large planet or comet passed dangerously close to the earth and the gravitational attraction caused a massive earthquake and volcanic activity. Interestingly, the catastrophic event begins with a great storm. This is significant because large planet bodies could ignite a strong Lightening storm as electrical discharges occurred between the earth and the "planet sized" object. The increased electrical activity would cause atmospheric disruption, thermal displacements and sudden pressure changes could cause "great and terrible tempests"; the large planet body would have gravitational attraction causing major disruptions into the earth crust breaking rocks below and above the earth, collapsing mountains, and causing a tremendous earthquake resulting in the wrenching of the lithosphere. The large body mass could have gradually stopped the earth rotation or even caused it to spin backwards. As the rotation of the earth change, this would cause earthquakes, volcanoes, and massive heating. Observations by individuals on earth during the rotational slowing would be described as "world earthquake" and "stars of heaven fall to the earth", rather than attempting to explain the phenomena as an increase in meteorite activity. As the two bodies approached, the poles of the earth would tip and make it seem like the stars were falling. The gravitational pull on the earth's crust will increase volcanic activity as described in this poetic phrase, "black as sack cloth hair". Electromagnetic interaction with the moon which lacks water for cooling would super heat the moons surface and make it appear red. Both Venus and Mars could have encountered the earth and repeat this encounter in the future. Mars remains in a new orbit and the celestial dance of the planets continues to unfold.

Why? "Intruding bodies from space will be sent by the great architect of the Universe to destroy the wicked and corrupt; to dismantle all societies, organizations, and governments, to prepare the earth for the Millennium. The establishment of governments not pleasing to God will be done away with. Establishments and societies that are corrupt financially, morally, and militarily will lose their "self glory", as natural disasters bring fear, to their hearts. We can only hope for enough time, for man to repent and return back too the adherence of God's law. Alma prayed for the enemies of God that they would have time to repent and return back to the love of God before judgments fall upon these souls and justice claimed the creature. Today, prophets petition the wicked to repent and consider the eternal consequence and impacts of their temporal short-term choice of today and wo, unto the man who believes in nothing. There is safety and brotherhood in the society of God. Wealth and precious commodities are ubiquitous in God's economy and distribution systems. So, what remains is the quality of man's hearts. If man will love God and his fellow man than he is worthy to receive greater things. If man seeks to enslave, steal, and torture his brother than he is no longer free and these atrocities will bring wrath upon him. It is time to decide which reality is preferred and capable.

Great Book!

I read this book when it first came out and enjoyed it thoroughly. I believe all the events that have happened to this world came about in a natural way and will continue to do so. Even biblical miracles were based on natural laws. This is a must read.

Anson Call was with Joseph Smith when he prophesied that the Mormon people would be driven from their homes in Nauvoo, Illinois to the Rocky Mountains, "...and some of you will live to go and assist the Saints become a mighty people in the midst of the Rocky Mountains". Call recorded in his journal that the prophet pointed to him and said, "There is Anson, he shall go and shall assist in building cities from one end of the country to the other..." Call spent the rest of his life fullfilling Joseph Smith's prediction of him. "Such men as Anson Call make history. They are peculiary adapted to the colonization of new countries, to the laying of the foundation of empires in a wilderness".

I read this book in the early 90's. I recall the author's arguments to have been quite convincing. I did not detect any biblical conflicts, although my bible knowledge level has increased since then and perhaps a re-read of this book might be in order.

Now, 15 years later, Juan Carlos is still a player. Recalling what I had read in the book, I remember my intense interest when, later in the 90's, I saw network news footage of President Bill Clinton cruising aboard a motor yacht with his arm draped around King Juan Carlos, grinning and waving at reporters (I'll not digress onto the premise of, "The Antichrist King - Bill Clinton").

The book is a quick and pleasant read. It's been around for a while, but the information is still remarkably timely. Probably worth the read for a bible prophecy student.

Provides a lot of background information on the antichrist King Juan Carlos. Though this book does not have any "satanic pictures" of Juan Carlos you can get that in the Nov.97 issue of Vanity Fair where Carlos is dressed in a black Prince of Darkness robe and red cape with a german sheppard. Look out! King Juan Carlos' day of revealing draws nearer, only now will he continue to work from behind the scenes until that day of infamy arrives. Repent now or face the Great Tribulation under the "iron fist" of King Juan Carlos as his song of the day will be "No More Mr. Nice Guy" as the price for food and to stay alive will be your soul.

The book is truly unsealed

Review Date: 2003-07-22
All through my life I've come across various books and booklets claiming to "unseal" the Book of Revelation. Only this book, however, can truly claim to have "unsealed" the true meaning of the book. Not everyone will agree with Pryse's translation and commentary. Yet, for initiates who have actually experienced its meaning, it is very clear.

The opening of the Seven Seals are the seven chakras and the awakening of the Speirema (444), the uncoiled serpent, otherwise known as the Kundalini or Serpent Fire. Iaonnes used the cosmological imagery of ancient astrology to depict the titanic struggles of the initiate during the process of spiritual awakening. The end result is the "New Jerusalem," which as Pryse explains, is the Soma Heliakon or Solar Body. This is because 12,000 Roman Stadia is the equivalent of 1,600 Jewish miles, and 1600 happens to be the numerical equivalent in gematria to "to soma heliakon."

Thus we see that the inner teachings of early Christianity were in perfect harmony with those of the Hermetic Mysteries, the Philosopher's Stone of Alchemy, the Mithraic Mysteries, and the Kundalini Yoga of the Vedas and Upanishads. I cannot recommend a book more highly. Yet, I know full well that few are ready to understand its full value. ...

An esoteric dissection of the "Revelation" of John
Helpful Votes: 19 out of 21 total.
Review Date: 2000-11-14
Written in 1910, The Apocalypse Unsealed attempts to prove that the so-called "Revelation" of John (which in the original Greek was really named "The Apocalypse: The Initiation of John") is in reality a gnostic work that shows an individual's path to enlightenment and peace. Pryse shows how all of the symbols and mysterious figures in The Apocalypse (666, the Dragon, etc) are really (not so) hidden puzzles and clues, that once discovered and solved will enable the reader to use the book as a helpful guide in conquering the material world.

But if this is just a helpful guide, why is it so occultic? Pryse claims that John knew the church would one day get rid of it's esoteric foundation and become more exoteric - the 1958 discovery of portions of a so-called "Secret Gospel" of Mark, which was possibly kept hidden by the Church alone prove this, not to mention the Church's total subjugation of the gnostic sects. So John wrote his book in a code that could be understood by those with the gnosis, the knowledge, and he even made sure that it wouldn't be butchered by future editors by inserting a warning that the text should be left alone, in order to avoid God's wrath.

Some of the things Pryse uncovered are very interesting, such as his claim that 666 is nothing but the numerical transliteration of "he phren," ancient Greek for "the lower mind." The Lamb, 888, is Iesous (Jesus - be prepared for Pryse's usage of the original Greek names for all New Testament figures), the higher mind, whereas 1,000 is "ho nikon," Greek for "the conquerer." There are other numbers besides, such as 777: "stauros" - the Cross, and Pryse shows that there is a numerical chart hidden in the Apocalypse, showing in numbers the progress of a man's journey, from the lowest reaches of his carnal desires (333, "akrasia" - sensuality) to his total mastery over them, and return to his true spiritual self - "ho nikon," the conquerer. This number chart is one of the more interesting aspects of the book; ancient Greeks and Hebrews used letters for numbers, and so by figuring out the word equivalents to the numbers in the Apocalypse, and vice versa, Pryse was able to crack one of the book's many codes.

As I said, this was written in the early 1900s, and it shows. Pryse is about as prudish as an old maid. This book can be read as a code of its own, one which totally sneers at sex. For Pryse, sex is contemptible and profane; he very much has the celibate attitude of an old-school mystic. He also has that old-school mystic disregard for women. In ancient times, women were considered to be the source of all ills, for tempting men away from the pursuit of spirituality. Pryse is an adherent to this pattern of thought. For a better, more modern view of Pryse's thoughts, one which refutes his no-sex, anti-women beliefs, I would recommend Michael Wassil's "Dance of Ecstacy," which is available for free on-line. All you have to do is search for it.

I could go on about this book...there are so many ideas and information in it that it's hard to grasp until you've read it at least a few times. It's also hard to explain what Pryse has written, unless you're talking to someone who's read the book. Also, I don't particularly like Kessinger's version of this; they're just selling a cheap-looking photocopy of the original manuscript. You might be better off finding a used copy of the original edition, or the 1972 trade paperback re-release, which will look a little better on your bookshelf.

Masterful insights into Armageddon, the Millennium Prophecies, and the realization of the collective God-Man. The author reveals the incredible reality of the End of Time and the realization of the "Promised Land of Consciousness". This book steers a course between amorphous spirituality and religious sectarianism, uncovering the true meaning of "apocalypse". Revelations about the Antichrist and the advent of the God-Man are realistically uncovered from the Scriptures, Papal history, St. Malachy's visions, the Third Secret of Fatima, Nostradamus, the Grail Legend, and more.

This is the first published work of a manificent genius. His website is http://apokalypso.com , where his second work is also available. This man's depth and breadth of vision left me reeling. He has obviously spent his lifetime researching religion, history, mythology, and psychology, and as geniuses do, he sees the connections between them.

Even though I have spent the last 18 years of my own life studying the binary soul doctrine and its story of humanity's divided consciousness, and even though I have written three books of my own on the subject, Thomas Jude Germinario has made it clear to me that I have barely even scratched the surface of the subject. My hat is off to him, and I humbly thank him for making his work available to the world.

Billy Graham's book Approaching Hoofbeats, although being nearly twenty years old (at the time of this review), is as timely as the day it was first put to paper. The world famous Evangelist studies some of the famous symbols of John's Revelations and how they are more important than ever in today's world and Church. I admit that I approached the book with a bit of unease, the Bible warns against listening to those that interpret omens, and some believe that extends to those who try to second guess the Bible and the timing of prophecy events that Jesus said only God would know, within the context of the fiction arena, as with the Left Behind series or The Omen trilogy, I have no problems - it's fantasy. However my worries soon vanished as Mr. Graham, instead of belting out the cliched 'the end is now', leaves the inevitable to God and instead focuses on how Christians must remain diligent in faith and practice (i.e. really walk the Walk instead of puffing out our collective chests and talking the Walk). The three chapters devoted to the White Horse of Deception, I think, should be required reading for any Christian, both new to the faith or smugly tooling around with those "I'm gonna be raptured" bumper stickers (remember, Pride cometh before the fall!) next to the license plate. His firm stance on promoting peace, giving selflessly to those in need, and remaining true to scripture makes for an invigorating read. Highly recommended.

This book is the result of a study made by the author about all prophecy about the latter days as contained in the Bible, in the LDS Scriptures (The Book of Mormon, another Testament of Jesus Christ - Doctrine and Covenants) and in the words of modern prophets and apostles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
It shows how Scriptures are consistent in affirming that the Second Coming of the Savior is close and for those who are watching there are signs to recognize. The approach is well structured, a great help for the student of the Scriptures in putting the picture together and finding the thread through plenty of information. In the end the message is: the Lord will come soon, get ready for dreadful and exciting times.
I would have missed something if I hadn't read it.
