The Role of the Artist in Today's SocietyReview Date: 2007-03-25

the psychic underbellyReview Date: 2006-12-29
Considering the natural limitations of the book format (size), the images evocatively weave together a chronicle of related artifacts and observances from the artist's life and travels. I look forward to seeing these images presented in a gallery setting where I can imagine the power of the works would be even further enhanced by larger image formats and room to relate the images in smaller and intimately evocative groupings. I'm sure such an on site treatment would take the strength of the book's presentation and render the artist's vision in an even more oblique and involving meditation on our world of shadows.
This book sneaks up on you and encircles you in the potent evocations of this singular artist's vision. We can all look forward to enveloping ourselves in these images in the future.

Revealing The FutureReview Date: 2002-12-17
regarding the events that she claims will take place
in our lifetime.
I am amazed that the Christian Bookstores haven't
stocked their shelves with this book.
There have been so many books written about the last
days, but this writer paints a picture of the sorrows
that will touch everyones life. As a medical Doctor, I have
witnessed people dying without the knowledge of God. Their
families grieve and cannot understand that there is Hope and
Love when they make Jesus their Lord.
I wonder how many people will not recognize the signs of
the Lord's Second Coming and miss the Rapture?
This book really simplifies the Book of Revelation. I will
purchase many books to give to my family and friends for
Christmas gifts.

learned so much about the future events that will
take place in our generation.
As a teacher, I know that it is important to be able
to make the subject interesting and easy to comprehend.
I will recommend this book for people of all religious
backgrounds to read and digest the literal interpretations.
It makes you ask yourself if you are truly ready to go before
God and be judged?

the judgments that will befall us in the very near future.
She explains the Tribulation and tell who the False Prophet will
be. This book warns people to be prepared to face death, even thought you won't know the hour or the day.
She asks questions that are meaningful, and that make me stop and think about my own life. I am grateful that someone took the time to write such a profound book. I recommend every family should read it and enjoy what God has given us. After 9/11 this
book shows that we should love one another now, because tomorrow is not a sure thing anymore.

The best book on RevelationReview Date: 2002-04-09
An excellent commentary on John's ApocalypseReview Date: 2006-09-01
He begins his commentary by analyzing the seven churches. In this analysis, he exposes why each church, in its `uniqueness,' is a targets of John's letter/s. After introducing the churches themselves, he allows his commentary to follow the text, verse by verse, exploring the strengths and weakness of these seven early churches, while equally addressing how these strengths and weakness are directly related to the churches' involvement in the broader Roman community.
Finally, Maahs uses his analysis of these first century churches to expose weaknesses within the modern day church. By doing so, he shows us how the prophetic nature of John's letter is most firmly anchored in its ability to address the church's failure to live out God's call throughout history, whether that be in first century Rome or modern day America.

A Tolkein-esque Adventure for Sci-Fi fansReview Date: 2008-02-02
Chakrabarti sets up a whole new universe, then weaves a story filled with themes of loyalty, friendship, betrayal, and political intrigue. When the prophecy involving a young widow threatens a megalomaniac, the tyrant uses a widow rehabilitation program as a ruse to lure widows to his kingdom. When all seems lost, a good and brave king from another solar system must come to the rescue. At the heart of the story are two people who seem destined to find each other: the good King Ewlon, a humble man who lost his wife and son many years ago, and Shreela, the widow in the prophesy, who herself has a young son. Once you acquaint yourself
with this new universe, the action continues without stop until you at last arrive at the conclusion- then Chakrabarti opens the door for a new adventure, leaving you begging for the sequel! This book was pure fun- but has a depth of character and story as well. Highly recommended!

Exciting Read From Start to Finish!Review Date: 2000-10-01
The Chosen are abruptly uprooted and brought into this highly disciplined atmosphere. The future of Azar's creation rests on their shoulders. Like a multi-faceted gem, this tale reflects the personalities and quirks of its characters. It is packed with suspense. At times it will have you sitting on the edge of your chair. At others you will laugh and you may even shed a tear. This is one of those novels that will keep you up because you will want to keep reading. I strongly recommend it.

Fast paced fantasyReview Date: 2002-07-09
This fantasy book is an adventure story of a culture preparing for war. New leaders must be found. Although five young people are identified by the patron Goddess, they must develop their skills and prove their worth by finding the talismans which are the keys to their future powers.
Two of these five young people, Beni (male) and Jenda (female), stand out in this volume. The other three "chosen" sparkle in the background. Ms. Kluz teases us with just enough interaction with the other three, and with a boy named Miko, that I look forward to becoming friends with them in the next volumes.
Myself, as a retired professor, I felt closest to the teachers and trainers of these realistically developed young people. As in real life, the teachers end up learning the deepest insights about life while trying to guide their pupils.
A small warning about the book -- be patient with the first nine pages or even skip them. As is done in many fantasy books, the beginning is full of description. The real action, motivations, and interactions start on pages 9 and 10. You will find real people from there onward.
One of the great insights of the book emerges on page 355. Jenda, a driven young woman who has worked hard to succeed says, "I wish we didn't have our talismans so we could search for them again." For her, as is true for many of us, the achievement of the first major hurdle only leads to more difficult, and often less applauded, problems to solve.

The Primer on ProphecyReview Date: 2002-02-16
I say that Sullivant's book is the "best," but Jack Deere's "Surprised by the Voice of God" book is also extremely wonderful and is essential. Very much so. In fact, I think that it is a "requirement" for any person of "my heritage" to read Deere's book FIRST, because Deere takes the time to address all the issues that any cessationist (I hate that word) type would raise. After addressing these issues, then Deere goes on to talk about prophecy. Sullivant doesn't feel the need to baby-sit the reader, and plunges right into the whole prophecy picture. Thus, I believe that Deere's book is "essential" for beginners-in-prophecy (or any "gifts" for that matter), and that Sullivant's book is essential as the next step in looking at prophecy in a mature and humble light of ministry. I really like the writing styles of both Deere and Sullivant. After reading Sullivant's book, I want to find him and introduce myself and just "hang" with him.

Incredible InsightReview Date: 2004-02-21
This book is very good for those who don't believe that prophecy is for today or have their doubts about hearing from other believers. I have used a specific chapter several times when talking to unbelievers about God and His requirements on speaking to people today.
He also lays down a basis for a "new breed" of prophets who aren't like the old typical (and many times offensive!) people. He has a chapter "What does humility look like?" that blew me away. Also, one of his other chapters changed my life in reference to "everything in moderation." I got a serious desire for being holy just as God is holy.
I strongly suggest buying this book. It will change your walk with God and re-lay truths about the prophetic that need to be taught.
