Finally a reference book to help book authors figure out who in Hollywood is buying and selling books. It's all the sales information I need to know to get my book into the marketplace. What a great idea! I'm looking forward to the updates.

I have a friend (another M.D.) who spent years putting a script together and who tells me this is the book to get! Packed with info. So, I got one and it is packed!

So you want to sell a spec screenplay, but you don't know who's buying what... Without a solid grasp of the marketplace, chances are your script will just languish in a drawer. If you'd rather see it on the big screen, you'll need to do your homework. The beauty of the Hollywood Literary Sales Directory is that Howard Meibach has done the homework for us... He's compiled market data which includes all major script sales through 7/98, and includes logline, genre, writer, purchase price, producer, agent/agency, buyer, & more. The information is cross-referenced 4 different ways for convenient access. For serious screenwriters, this book is as important a marketing tool as the Hollywood Creative Directory!

Others have described The International Directory of Civil Aircraft as the "bible" of civil aviation references, and I would heartily agree. Each type of aircraft referenced has an excellent color photo, performance information that breaks the numbers down into metric and standard (making it a truly international reference guide), and a great synopsis of each aircraft type's history. All of this makes IDOCA a great guide for both aviation professionals and enthusiasts, and I'm distressed to see the 2003/2004 edition listed as "out of print" here on Amazon. One of this guides biggest benefits is its currency (a new edition every two years), and I sincerely hope that Mr. Frawely will continue making this excellent reference. I can't wait to purchase a 2005/2006 IDOCA edition!

This book is truly fascinating. I had bought the 1997-1998 edition back in late 1997 because it just stood out from all the other books which I saw. It was just so comprehensive, everything that any aviation enthusiast could want. Without any delay I snapped up this edition when it became available. I find it readable and never boring, even if I pick it up to review something small. An excellent book.

I bought this book for the first time and I have never seen a book on aircraft that was so detailed. I love aviation and if you love aviation and civil aircraft, this is the book for you.

This is easily the best civil aircraft book in the world, it lists specifications and tells the history of the model, from a Cessna 152 to the Boeing 777 they are here! Great book and a must have for all aviation enthusiasts!

This book has a stiff, wraparound cover with a magnetic closure which makes it very difficult to hold the book open to read it. This is not visible in the photos.

The book is written for younger kids. I'd say ages 9-14.

This is a PERFECT resource for kids or teachers - anyone who wants to help kids get into to philanthropic giving early on! Easy to understand, but doesn't sugarcoat the needs of our world. HIGHLY reccomended!

" A Kid's Guide to Giving" is a great resource to encourage a child to give back. It discusses the value of giving, how to give (not just donating money), and descriptions of many nonprofit organizations young people can relate to. The page layout and use of quotes from other young philanthropists makes it ideal for kids.

Freddi Zeiler has put together a truly inspiring, powerful book. People like Freddi Zeiler are a credit to the human race. I think every household should have a copy, and in fact, I think it's selfish not to. Teaching children about giving to those less fortunate is not only a great idea, it's a necessary one. Lets raise the next generation (the people who will run our country) to be a compassionate one, and lets start with this book. Congratulations to the author for moving us in the right direction.

I always start with reading a MCSE for dummies when I am preparing for an exam. This one is the best so far and after taking the exam I can say that this book is all you need.
I used other materials as well because there were some objectives that I did not have experience with.
I scored 790 and that was more than I expected.

I found this book full of information without drowning it's readers in useless jargon. Some of the content was covered only briefly, but with some hands on learning and this book, passing the test was a breaze!

As a Microsoft Instructor, I recommend this book to all of my students. It cuts through the fluff and crud that Microsoft usually tacks on to the courses and gets to the meat and potatoes of what Active Directory is all about. Several students have used this besides my class and have blown the test away. Check out the author's exam tips to save yourself some headaches.

This book does a fantastic job preparing you for the exam 70-217. I am currently an NT 4.0 MCSE aspiring to be a Windows 2000 MCSE and wouldn't of been able to pass this exam with out this book. The author did an wonderful job helping me understand the complex features of Active Directory like group policies and remote install services. Which by the way are hit hard on the exam. I recommend this book to everyone looking to get certified in Windows 2000.

I passed 70-217 today using this book. I scored an 800 and something. This book did a great job of covering the material that MS tests about.

70-640 is a breeze after using this book just finished all of my certifications and this book made the 70-640 exam easy. I would recommend this book to my co-workers, friends and strangers alike. If you are prepping for the 70-640, this is all you will need to understand the content and pass the exam. The authors of this book knew how to gear the content to make it easier for you to understand and pass the exam.

This book is absolutely outstanding! They way the authors break down each section and give real world scenarios make this book unique. Given the changes in Server 2008 this book is a must have if you wish to pass the 70-640. After reading this book and using the CD I have passed the test and I know it was because of this outstanding book! I highly recommend this book if your goal is to pass the 70-640 while still obtaining a firm grasp on each concept.

The writing and delivery styles of Will Panek will grab and hold your attention throughout this book. Windows Server 2008 introduced numerous changes over 2003 and the author does a fantastic job of using real world scenarios and examples to teach them to you. Mr. Panek inserts humor in appropriate situations to keep your attention and make a point. If you complete this book you will pass the exam. I look forward to more from this great author.

I just passed the 70-640 exam using this book. The authors went to great lengths to make sure that everything was covered. This book is the way to go if you are thinking about passing this test.

I live in Ireland and I bought this book about October, 2001. It's an updated version of the 1993 book. Having looked through many books in libraries, I found this to be the ultimate guide to Irish genealogy. I have succeeded in tracing my family back to the eighteenth century from information about parish records, census records etc, as John lists them so well. It gives details of sources county by county in chronological order. The church record listing is also excellent. This is definitely the Irish genealogy bible.

Organized into three major sections, Part 1 surveys the most basic genealogical sources for researching Irish ancestry; Part 2 provides a more advanced application of genealogical research project tools and resources; Part 3 is a reference guide to a comprehensive range of materials that include county source lists and church records. Also very highly recommended as a reference work for Irish-oriented genealogical researchers is the second edition of Brian Mitchell's A New Genealogical Atlas Of Ireland (080-6316845, $20.00).

This book is a great help for anyone trying to trace an Irish ancestor. It is very well organized, giving the reader both general information and information specific to localities. Many internet sites are listed. I would highly recommend this book to any Irish researcher.

Irish ancestors can be very elusive due to a variety of factors. Don't get frustrated - get educated. You CAN hunt your Emerald Isle ancestors successfully when armed with the knowledge in this book.

While covering all of the standard civil, church, census, and land records, Grenham's book also covers wills, deeds, newspapers, directories, and other less-used records. The final third of the book is a county-by-county reference guide describing extant censuses and substitutes, available local histories, monumental inscriptions and other sources for each county.

One of the outstanding features of the book is the Catholic parish maps for each county. These were drawn by the author's father and give the date of the earliest records available for each parish.

A researcher with Irish heritage must be as indefatigable and adaptable as their own Irish forebears were in order find them in the existing records. This book is one of the tools you need to start with.

The Interstate Exit Authority was ordered on June 3 and it had not been received by the 27th of June. Correspondence with Woody's led to a refund quickly. However, within a couple of days I received the book, it had been mailed on the 4th of June, the USPS took three weeks to deliver! The book was in great shape but the packaging looked like it had been through a war. Woody's Books was repaid and all is well. I consider them a great Company and certainly would order from them again.

It's amazing that they have a book of this sort. If I'd have known earlier, I would've bought one every couple of years. I drive a lot and this is perfect.

I haven't done a great deal of traveling for the last two years but after perusing the book "300 Incredible Things for Travelers on the Internet" I am definitely more excited about traveling! I disagree with a reviewer who stated that some of the links in this book are inactive. Yes, some may be have been in accessible when he tried to click on them but what website isn't from time to time? I found that each one I clicked on worked beautifully.

I am an autograph collector and I was happy to see how complete this book is. I collect astronauts who have walked on the moon, hi-tech business people such as Bill Gates, movie actors like Tom Hanks and baseball sluggers like Sammy Sousa and Mark McGuire. They are in this books with thousands more. It is well organized and I liked the extra features of sample letters and questions & answers about autograph collecting. It is a very good reference for autograph collectors.

I e-mailed the publisher to ask for an update of a celebrity address. He was fast with an answer. He also mentioned he has started a new service to autograph collectors. He will answer any question on the subject of autoghaph collecting for FREE!
I will use the e-mail address for finding out autograph prices, how and where to buy and sell autographs plus anything else I can think of. A great offer!

Having spent some time doing undergrad recruiting work at 2 different companies, I can honestly say that there's no internship book out there that really prepares you better than talking to alumni of your school who are now working at your ideal company. Nonetheless, for the student who has little starting knowledge of internships, this is probably the best overall book.

I really liked this book. There aren't too many internships guides out there -- but this one's pretty neat. It gives the scoop on internships like Microsoft, Letterman, Intel, Nightline, etc. It's detailed and sassy -- not just a generic listing.

I used this book as my crutch all through college -- it got me 3 out of my 4 internships. It's the best internship book out there.

This guide is outstanding. For inside looks at the employers themselves, I'd also recommend the "Vault Reports" guides from VaultReports.com.

This is an incredible and useful guide if you are looking to explore what internships our out there and what you need to know to get into them. I was suprised the book covered so many different fields from MTV to The United Nations. Each listing is really clear and easy to understand. It lays out the facts and not the writers opinions. You also get to hear from other people who have compleated a interships and thier thoughts about how useful it was. I would not only recomend this book to college students, but to high school students as well. A job well done!
