This book contains the information that is needed to put the organization that I work for back on track. Easy to read, easy to follow and easy to apply; the principals outlined are designed for quick success. The anecdotes included are very applicable to the section where they are found and many of them describe what is going on at my workplace. With the application of the principals and guidelines described in the book, the organization where I work can easily Get in the Game.

Great tool to assist a child with his/her preparation for the third grade Iowa testing.

Getting Better Results proves that a book doesn't have to be long to be good! The tips included within this book are invaluable to anyone that manages others or is part of a team. The tips were easy to implement and produced noticeable results. I distributed copies to several colleagues and would highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to promote excellence either in themself or in those around them.

Written two recessions ago, this book does not glow over with mantras about the "new paradigm" of the "new economy" and how profits don't matter anymore, blah blah blah.

Instead this book tells you what you already know; i.e., that the way you success in business is by working hard. It's the common-sense advice that your parents and grandparents gave you.

The main point of this book is to give you kick in the tail and motivate you. It succeeded for me, so I'd definitely recommend it. Five stars all the way.

If you're getting into comedy and you like to read, this is in my top five of books you should get.

I wasn't sure about it because there were no reviews, and it was hard to find much info about the author except that he did stand-up and taught it in the U.K., so I took a risk. And it paid off.

What's unique about this book is that it gives a load of specific examples of comedian's acts or events that happened- it doesn't just make general points. And where a bunch of how-to comedy books take a formulaic approach, which helps but isn't enough, this one takes a more "here's what a bunch of comedians have done and what happened when they did it" approach. I thought it was awesome.

For a U.S. audience, there are some U.K. colloquialisms like 'punters' but they aren't a real hurdle. Also, I had never heard of Billy Connolly, who turns out to be one of the best comedians ever... I found some of his stuff on youtube and was LMAO, so this book also expanded the world of comedy for me- getting to see more examples of how people are funny helps you see what's possible.

This edited volume is absolutely first rate...for anyone working on the issue of Accountability ( the least practiced but most urgently needed process of our time) this book is essential reading....and the editors who labored to make it first rate deserve our thanks...

This book covers just about everything and anything you ever wanted to know about what foods are healthiest to eat, and more importantly, the foods that God has given us to eat and enjoy. I love how the author uses scripture references and empirical studies to show benefits and health risks of various foods. Throughout the book he lists the healthiest foods, which has helped me develop my own nutrional program; I'm much more knowledgable now about why some foods are healthier than others. I highly recommend this book for anyone wanting more knowledge and guidance on what should and shouldn't be the staples in a healthy diet.
