I got a hold of a copy of this when a friend told me Tom Keith, the funny sound effects guy from Garrison Keillor, does sound effects and character voices on this production. Who knew! And he is great as always. The rest of this production is great too. Kermit, Miss Piggy. And cool music. This is good stuff!

This audio production and soundtrack is a delight! It cleverly weaves in well-known classical music to underscore Kermit the Frog's (sweet) satirical musings on modern living -- peppered with cameos by Miss Piggy -- and is loaded with deft musical jokes. I was also happily surprised to find additional sound effects and character voices added by Tom Keith, the sensational sound effects man for Garrison Keillor's Prairie Home Companion.

Perhaps my favorite moment is when ominous spaghetti western music plays while Kermit laments that fact that a language barrier seems to prevent men and women (and frogs and pigs) from getting along. Or accompanied by the two beautifully melencholy voices from Delibes' famous duet, Kermit ponders whether to accept daytime TV's request to publically discuss the trials and tribulations of life with Miss Piggy.

This production is silly, clever, poignant, and a delight. You're in for a treat if, like me, you get a kick out of The Muppets, P.D.Q. Bach, or Garrison Keillor's Prarie Home Companion.

A great book for the inner frog in everyone.

Kermit's Guide to Life in the 90's is an enjoyable read for anyone who has either grown up watching the Muppet Show or has been swept up in any self-help movement in recent years. While establishing itself as a book that can stand on its own, the humor really comes out when you realize the original subject matter that is being parodied. From 7 Habits to Chicken Soup to Don't Sweat the Small Stuff to Mars and Venus, it is all covered. The material is given as factual tips to bettering your life, while keeping the wry, sardonic, and occasionally over-the-top humor of the Muppet Show intact. Overall, a very well thought out and crafted book, I would recomend this to anyone I meet, but don't let Miss Piggy read it...

Highly recommend this book. An updated classic about journal writing and self-awareness. Christina Baldwin is one of the masters in the area, in my opinion.

Extremely helpful, even years after its first edition.

I met Christina Baldwin through her father, Leo, when he was a colleague of mine. Ms. Baldwin's personal journaling experience is honest and open, much as she is in person, and gives permission to be the same when one is journaling. Her encouragement and examples made me return to journaling after many years' hiatus.

I would recommend "One to One" for anyone who wants the opportunity to reflect upon their life's journey.

What a wonderful companion book to Birthing From Within. The Keepsake Journal has plenty of good information, practical exercises to prepare for labor and childbirth, as well as some pages for recording important information during the first year. It incorporates journaling, art, and pain-coping exercises all in one book! I highly recommend this for anyone expecting a baby or looking for a gift. It is better earlier in the pregnancy.

I am lucky to have one of the initial copies of this journal and I am so impressed I wanted to write a review. This is a real gem, not only because of the wonderful content, but because of the beauty in the book itself. We always say not to judge a book by it's cover, but I think the cover is one of my favorite parts! It is hardcover. It will last on my bookshelf for many years. Inside, the reader is guided through hands-on exercises that help prepare for birth and parenting, as well as space to record memorable events through the first year. It truly is a keepsake. I highly recommend it for expecting couples.

With so many choices for documenting your pregnancy this book stands alone. It does so much more than encourage the reader to journal their journey through pregnancy. It asks thought provoking questions and truly helps to prepare the reader for pregnancy, labor and postpartum. The pages are thick enough that parents' can actually put their art work directly in the book. This book takes the ideas and processes described in "Birthing From Within" by Pam England and Rob Horowitz, and helps walk parents through them, step by step. So that while they preserve their many memories of their pregnancy, baby's birth and early childhood they are in turn learning how to be born as parents. Almost every child loves to hear about their birth. Here is a book that helps the child to know his parents and helps the parents preserve who they were before, during and after their baby rocked their world. What a loving legacy to pass on to your child. This journal will become a precious family heirloom, to be treasured for generations to come. I can't encourage expectant parents enough to buy this book.

Teachings in letter form from the early 20th century, based on a woman's own experience of lack, and learning the laws of the universe that brought her out of that state and able to teach others. Very well written, succinct, and nice because you can read a short letter of 2 or 3 pages at a time, and get a good teaching on the subject. Highly recommended for people with short attention spans or who like reading only a few pages at a time, and who would like more info about manifesting wealth.

I quote the following passage to let the author illustrate the tenor of this book - if you like books like the "Attractor Factor" or "The Secret." you owe it to yourself to have a look at this one - one of those that started it all.

"Why is it so hard to comprehend, when it is so simple? You cannot expect a flow of oil or increase of meal until you begin to use; you cannot pour water from a pitcher until you take the pitcher in hand and begin to pour. Herein is one of the mighty occult truths I promised to give when you had complied with my terms. I do not need your money, but I do need your faith in me"

My husband and I received a copy of this journal when we were married eight years ago. With its beautiful ribbon-tie closure and elegant-looking pages, the journal is a lovely keepsake to remember your special memories. We so enjoyed it that we've decided to purchase it for a family member and friend. It's wonderful to read it on anniversaries to recall those wonderful stories of how you two met and grew in love.

I am a huge fan of Debbie Danowski. Reading her previous book, Locked up for Eating Too Much, literally saved my life.

I had been waiting with anticipation for the Overeater's Journal and Debbie did not disappoint!

This Journal, which is in trade paperback size is absolutely wonderful. It comes with inspirational quotes and valuable information on how to assess whether you may have an unhealthy relationship with food. The questions you are asked to answer are thought provoking and will help you to understand yourself better.

The author knows her subject well (overeating) as she has herself been though the nightmare that is food addiction.

If you feel you may have a problem with food or, if you want some help in staying abstinent, this is the tool for you.

The size makes it convenient to carry around with you and I have been toting it around and jotting notes when I feel I need to "vent" my feelings. Excellent book.

NOW! A cookbook containing recipes for food addicts (no sugar, no flour and measured ingredients) would be the perfect companion to this Journal.

Hopefully, this is next on our author's list!!!

"Gorgeous" does not even begin to describe this journal. The entire line of Paperblanks Intricate Inlays journals are beautiful, and well worth every penny, but "Crystal Flower", in my opinion, is by far the best. I may be biased, though; it jumped out at me while browsing the net for a prayer-book, and, being a devotee of Ishtar, the blue and purple hues and 8 points of the flower called out to me. Just looking at it when it arrived inspired me to write down 3 prayers, all within about 15 minutes. It's durable, hard-cover, lightweight, and absolutely stunning. Perfect.

This design is indeed more "silver-y" than it looks here, but it's lovely. The elastic is a nice touch (though my elastic broke after heavy use over the span of several months).

The covers have 'raised' details, giving them a nice 'feel' and another fun detail. It's a bit shimmery, and just great little books.

They are fairly small, but handy. I wouln't use heavy ink as the pages are a tad thin, but the books do "feel" nice. I plan on purchasing even more in this series.

Are you inspired by the beauty of book covers? The picture here truly does this book justice. When it arrives, the colors are slightly less purple (see scanned picture) and a little more rose and blue, but still inspiring with a mother-of-pearl glossy sheen and silvery iridescent highlights. Unique features include a memento pouch, like an envelope at the back of the book. The pages are also acid-free.

There is a ribbon page marker, but also an elastic band the keep the book closed. This helps to keep the pages safe if you like to carry a book around in your pocket or purse. I can think of many uses for this book including collecting poetry, quotes or writing your most intriguing thoughts.

I'll be using this book to collect essential oil recipes for the bath. I like collecting oils and then figuring out which scents I like best. This is a perfect book with 176 pages that will give me plenty of room to write recipes for perfumes and bath products. Now I have to find a pen worthy of writing in this beautiful book...

Having a child with cancer, I realized that this book can benefit so many people. At the age of 37, you just never know what tomorrow brings and to be able to have all of your thoughts written down in one book is a tremendous opportunity. To be able to share with your children your own personal words of wisdom "just in case" is a wonderful idea. I highly recommend this book to any and all parents, your children could only appreciate what it has to offer them.

This is a fantastic and incredibly important book for all parents to have and complete for their children. It is truly the best gift you could ever give to them. Buy this book and take the time to fill it out for your kids - they will be so happy and enriched by your doing so.

The book is a detailed journal that walks you through various questions on all kinds of important issues that you can address for your children. All of us would love to think we are going to be around forever to give this information to our kids at any given moment, but that is not reality. Were something to happen to you, wouldn't you want your kids to know how you felt about dating, or career advice, or wedding advice, etc. If you have this book and fill it out, your kids will have all that information. Trust me - my father died when I was very young and I am constantly upset by the fact that I have no idea how he felt about all these big issues. What a great gift he could have left for me if he had this kind of book!

A side benefit is that is forces you to sit down and reflect on how you feel about all these issues as well. So, you learn a lot about yourself in the process of doing this great service for your children.

Don't wait - buy this and start filling it out. It is the single most important thing you can do for your children.

Like an obsessive collector capturing rare fleeting specimens, John Robben has frozen bits of his time in scenes of daily life by quietly putting everyday people, items, and events under a lens transfiguring them to reveal hidden inherent beauty. While other train commuting men dozed, Robben scribbled longhand in blank journals to fulfill a deep need to make sense of the world that swirled around him. The result? He shows us the intricate filigree in what at first may seem unremarkable--his life as a toy salesman and father of five children. In so doing, he surreptitiously delivers his message: there is joy and wonder in life's smallest moments despite inevitable doubt and fear.
