This resource is invaluable for any high school or college student seriously researching and considering a health professions career. It's great for the "pre-med" student who isn't "pre-med" anymore, but still wants a career in health care. It's a library MUST-HAVE for their career/academic advisor as well! I find the most valuable information is the easy reference to all the most important websites on each career for the student's and advisor's further research, plus the comprehensive by state listing of all the accredited programs for each career. How did I survive without this guide?!

I eat out 7 days a week, at least 2 meals a day. Being something of an amatuer cook myself, I know how much butter is lavished on restaurant meals (even the italians use it) -- enough to earn you a coronary bypass by the age of 12. So what a lifesaver (literally) to find this book! Jones and company have done exhaustive reasearch to find the healthiest food in L.A. Not a lot of attention is paid to outlying areas (Torrence, Lakewood, Norwalk and the like; but there probably isn't much there anyway), but most restaurant guides stick to L.A. Proper (Downtown/Wilshire/Bev Hills/Hollywood/Ventura Blvd etc.). There are also great tips for eating at restaurants of which I'm already a patron -- fat-free lunch at Chin Chin! Included are many coupons to set you on your course of healthy dining. I hope this books sells well enough to merit a yearly update.

Must have for all of you "Peakbaggers". Every single 4000 footer or higher in NY and New England is described inside this incredible book. My only suggestion would be an update that includes all of the Catskill's 3,500' peaks.

I was fortunate enough to receive an advance copy of this excellent work by Ms. Wylie, putting it to immediate use as I walked through the hiring process of a new team member. Though much of it is common sense, her phase-based detailed approach to hiring really makes the hiring manager, personnel manager, or HR representative think things through! The checklists for interviews are an invaluable aid. As she rightly points out early in the work, the return on investment in a repeatable process and hiring the RIGHT person from the get-go can save your organization thousands of dollars, at the least.
