Children's Space Books Books

This series of books is great. Boys and girls would enjoy it but I know that it is often hard to find books for boys. These are great! Great adventure but because they are based ona bible storyu they are wonderful reinforecement of the bibile

Drawing Alien Fantasies is a step-by-step guide for drawing aliens and their spaceships. It also teaches perspective by showing you how to draw various alien settings.

It shows you how to start with simple shapes and develop them into complicated drawings. I am eight years old and before I got this book I could barely draw at all. Using this book, I've gotten to do really cool drawings like the Deep Space Viper.

This book would be great for any kid who likes science fiction and wants to learn to draw. If I could, I'd give it more than five stars!

While Draw Science Fiction is meant for a juvenile audience of aspiring cartoonists, it's featured for its ability to appeal to many an adult who may want to try their hand at drawing aliens, spaceships and space adventures. Step-by-step line drawings impart the basics of how to put together common monsters.

This book is great. It is almost sad, almost. There is this girl named Mary who does this paper on dream flight or dream spinning.Mary disides to try this. She goes back like a hunderd years and becomes some one of the time. at first it is only when she wants to but then it becomes almost a uncontrolible thing.

I'm looking forward to using this book this semester. It's loaded with great information.

Kids in grades 5 and up will find Roy Gallant's Earth's Place In Space absorbing: almost 80 pages pack in details on human interests in space, from early beliefs about the heavens to explorations and discoveries. The history timeline is accompanied by many illustrations and photos, with sidebars of information about galactic findings. A good starter overview for reports.

Another winning story from Lynn Reiser who really has an ear for the simple stories of childhood. Here she combines the busy schedule of Mom, the astronaut with Terra's need for a photograph from space for the school play. As always the details count in Reiser's books and the text is well supported by her clever and droll illustrations. In this book she has used actual NASA photos from space to support her own illustrations and story. A wonderfully warm story of family life with whimsical touches.

I got this book back in 1999. We like to look at the stars and planets. We like to learn about the science. We like finding out how similar Spanish is to English.
Spanish language kids' books are about the easiest and best way to introduce your kids to the language. There's no need to start out crunching them down with grammar. Teach them vocabulary! These magic school bus books in Spanish are a great way to hit so many important vocabulary words.
My son loves to flip through these. There's just almost no way he's reading the Spanish, but it'll eventually stick.
The solar system is wonderfully illustrated. The science in this book is good and interesting. The storyline is interesting.

I am sorry this book is out of print. My sons, now 27 and 26, both loved this story when they were young. The art work is perfectly matched with the story-line, which made it a joy for me to read as well.

Ellsworth is a bored, young feline who learns some important lessons from a friendly, green vistor named Margaret. With her help, Ellsworth finds adventure and a sense of himself in his own backyard. Remarkably, this excitement is achieved long before cell phones or video games.

It's a cute story. One doesn't even have to like cats to enjoy the book.
