Bess signs up Nancy and George to be hostesses on a ship that docks in River Heights thats going to go to South America to help the sick, but weird things keep happening and Nancy finds herself in danger!

I was over-excited when I found this volume of the Nancy Drew graphic novels. As a big fan of manga (japanese comic books), I like to read cine-manga (kind of like regular comic books), too. The graphic novels are okay, but I love Nancy Drew's makeover!! Her hair is way cooler than it used to be, but I can't help but wish the graphic novels were a bit thicker. If you like thin books, go ahead and buy it, but for thicky thicky book readers, step away! Even though I like thick books over thin ones, my love for Nancy Drew mysteries allows me to compromise.;)

My 15 year old daughter is a nancy drew fanatic and just deours these graphic novels. The characters ae the same and the adventures are similiar to the actual novels but simplier. The art is japanese style but not distracting and anytime I can get her to read is a good thing. Girls will love these books.

Nancy is summoned by Lance Colson, handsome businessman to investigate the kidnapping of his nephew Hal. He's received a ransom note and believes that the gang of punk teenagers that Hal hangs out with at the mall are the kidnappers, trying to cash in on his inheritance. Nancy investigates and as part of her plan, gets George to go undercover as a punk in the group. Meanwhile, Nancy is faced with some tough happenings like someone trying to blow up lance's Maserati with her in it, Bess's crush on Lance and lance's psycho girlfriend's hatred for Nancy..Then the book takes some VERY interesting turns at the end and you will never guess what happens at the end and who eventually ends up behind bars..All in all, this book was not too cut and dry and nancy delivers some superb detective work as she always does..a must-read!!!

Good story. (Although none of the current ones have the magic touch of the originals.)

I really liked this book because it was fast-paced and well written for its intended audience. Nancy Drew is asked to help clear the name of a prince who is accused of stealing a valuable painting. As usual, Nancy remains open-minded and objective in her pursuit of the truth. The story includes international intrigue, hard detective work, as well as adventure. It was enjoyable and easy to follow. Anyone who likes mysteries, especially children from 8 to 12 years old would enjoy reading this book. If you like Nancy Drew mysteries, this is another good one.

I liked this book, but it wasn't my favorite. Bess is so dumb for letting that good guy go to waste. I understand her reasoning, but still... I'm glad they got toghter!

This book keeps you on your feet. If you like adventure...you'd love this book! The Nancy Drew Files "Island of Secrets" Case 98. Is a fantastic book. Nancy is on a vacation, with her friend Hannah, to get away from the criminals and crimes: and ends up solving another. One of my favorite quotes from the book is: "Are you a detective?" Nancy replies, "I've solved a few cases." Yet this is her 98th case!
