I would recommend this book to anyone who is 12 years old and up because there is a lot of information to remember. "There are so many people I have met I have no idea who has done the crime Nancy says." This means that they met so many people; you would need a good memory to remember all the details and suspects. Anyone who enjoys reading mysteries will probably enjoy reading a Nancy Drew novel. This book from her series would be a good choice to read. "Hello is anyone in here Stephanie? Are you in here?" Nancy says this. In this scene Nancy goes to the star's house and gets blindfolded, and there are a lot of people talking. She can't tell who is talking. Even though the book is confusing at times, it is a great book.

i thought this book was great, and that it was really fun to read. it was very mysterious and creepy, and if you like those kind of mysteries, then surely you'll love this book. what i liked about it was that it had a lot of interesting parts in it, such as: nancy chasing a thief through a haunted house in a carnival, sneaking around in a building and trying to ward off bad guys, trying to figure out a REALLY puzzling note, etc. i think that if you love mysteries, you'll like this book.

Nancy Drew's best friend Bess Marvin is an extra for the American Grand Opera company that has come to River Heights. Strange things begin happening when the sets and costumes are sabotaged. Enough of the summary, I'm sure you read the editorial above. Let me just say that this is the best paperback I've read in a really long time, and I have been reading Nancy Drew books since I was eight (don't bother to do the math! :) To the ghostwriter: Keep it up! You're the best Simon & Schuster has had in a long time! The plot was fantastic. There was suspense and romance, and a really interesting twist at the end. Actually, this book was more like one of the Files than a Mystery story. Buy this book! You won't be sorry!

My daughter is 7 and loves these younger version Nancy Drew books. They are a little hard for her to get through by herself, but she is usually good if she asks for clarification every once in a while. The stories are very cute, and my daughter loves to guess the ending.

One of Carson Drew's clients invites him to the movie set of a new film starring Fluffington, the celebrity cat. Now, you can only imagine how great the excitement will be when Mr. Drew invites along not only his daughter, Nancy, but the rest of her friends! Now, the whole clue crew is headed for Hollywood.
Not only will they be able to see a movie being made, they have been cast as extras in Fluffington's film. All is well until the star of the movie goes missing!
What happened to Fluffington? Has he been cat-napped? Fear not, Nancy and the Clue crew to crack the case, despite all the twists and turns.
Lights, Camera...Cats! will be one of your young reader's favorite mysteries, and the setting is especially enjoyable.
Recommended!

Nancy, Bess and George are in for some exciting fun. They are taking riding lessons after school, and can't wait to get in the saddle. Bess even has a pair of lucky earrings to wear. They look just like tiny, golden horseshoes. What girl wouldn't want beautiful earrings like that?
Well, there's another girl who wants them enough to steal them, and it's up to Nancy Drew to crack the case with the help of her trusty blue notebook and some cool reasoning skill.
This is a simple story, presented in a manner sure to win over Carolyn Keene's fans!

Nancy Drew, Bess, and George Fayne were waiting for school to end. They were excited to go to their riding lesson after school. Bess showed all of her classmates her mothers earings. They were lucky horseshoes earings. Bess, Nancy, and George ran when the bell rang. They walked to the riding lessons. Mandy was showing off her new boots for the lessons. The riding teacher gave everyone horses, but Mandy got a wild horse. The horse was big and black. Bess got Mandy's old horse Buttercup. When the riders were going to ride, Mandy told Bess to put away her earings otherwise she would lose it. After riding, the earings were gone. Later Nancy went to the scene of the crime. She saw swirl shoe prints. The next day Nancy called all the riders n the room and examined the shoes. She found the matching shoe! It was Mandy. Mandy gave the earings back. She told Bess why she took it. Mandy told Bess she took it because she was afraid of the horse. Then she told the teacher and Mandy got Buttercup.

Bess Marvin ends up working as part of a decorating group at a mall/department store thing and one of her friends gets fired for a crime she didn't commit. (surprise surprise) Naturally here comes Detective Drew and Detective George Fayne. After a few more crimes happen Nancy gets an oppertunity to join the decorating committee and then a few somethings really really really...really dangerous happens. If you want to find out more read the book already!
In short it is an awesome book that you should have atleast some fun reading.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas -- with the help of Bess Marvin! Bess has taken a job at Albemarle's department store to decorate it for the holidays. When Bess's friend is accused of stealing expensive evening gowns, Nancy Drew is called in to crack the case. This is a good paperback, but a little predictable. I'd say that the best thing about this book was the chapter titles, like, "The Weather Outside is Frightning," "Deck the Halls," and others. But hey, it's a great book to read at Christmas time!

My 10-year-old daughter really enjoyed reading this book. She found the plot to be interesting, and I know she liked knowing the story line of the movie ahead of time (especially since I didn't know it, and I was sitting next to her at the movies!). The photos in the book are actual scenes from the movie.

The idea for a Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys Super Mystery is an excellent one. This way fans, both male and female can read about their favorite characters working together to solve a mystery. The dectectives start out working on two different cases, that end up connected in the end. These novels are modern, and updated to meet the needs of today's kids. Older fans, will remember the old 70's TV series, that brought the three detectives together, this book reminded me as such.
In Murder on the 4th. Frank and Joe are in Bayport, investigating works of sabotage at a fireworks company called "The Dragon's Breath". The company just landed the account to put on the show in Seattle, for the 4th. However someone (or someones) is out to stop them from succeeding. There are plenty of suspects to choose from all of whom have motive to ruin the company. Of course there is also a love interest for Joe Hardy who falls for the owner's daughter. This assignment eventually brings them to Seattle where they run into Nancy Drew.
Nancy, along with Bess, is in Seattle for a celebration of the Orca Odyssey, the girls learn that a business man who is a major fund-raiser has been accused of murder. Nancy takes his case and sets out to find the truth.
Stolen paintings, a murder, and a plot to assasinate a top American official. This book is exciting, has cliff-hangers at the end of the chapters. Also great descriptions of Seattle and all of her landmarks such as the Space Needle. (Having lived in the Seattle area, it was a trip down memory lane).
Some criticism. Bess is portrayed as a naive girl, who only thinks about food and shopping. Why the author portrays her as such is beyond me. She is constantly asking when they can get something to eat. This got old very quickly.
Also, the Orcas. The back of the book makes it sound as if the whales are a major part of the plot. There not, there are paintings of them that are stolen, but that's about it. So don't think this is a book about whales or saving whales.
The book has an exciting ending, as soon as one mystery is solved, there is still yet another question to be answered and time is running out. A great book to read during the 4th of July, makes you feel as if your part of the action.
As a Jr. High Reading teacher, I recommend this book to anybody from Jr. High to high School students. Teachers may want to add this to their library. Parents can rest easy knowing their kids are reading a good decent book and building their vocabulary. Good for mystery lovers and those who like adventure books that move quickly.
