Someone wants to kill a champion surfer. In steps Frank and Joe. This is really nothing new for a Hardy Boys book. Fast paced action and stuff like that, but it's not nearly the best of the series.

This book is one part of a series. It is about two brothers (Joe and Frank Hardy) who solve mysteries. In this book they are on a movie set in the mountains as extras. They also help the animal handlers (Lloyd and Gene) who are responsible for taking care of Omar the mountain lion, who is in the movie.

The movie is about Jumper Hermit, a local criminal, who was thought to be killed in an airplane accident. During the filming, someone tries to stop the movie from being made. The stunts that are planned are sabotaged.(...)

My favorite part of the book was all the mysterious happenings such as the sightings of Big Foot and ghosts. It was my favorite because it makes you keep guessing about what is going on and what is happening. The way it was written makes me think that those kinds of things were real.

I highly recommend this book to people who like to figure out things by themselves. Anyone who likes mysteries would like this book, also. I enjoyed the book because of all the mysteries in it.

When the Hardys discover stolen artifacts in Bayport, they decide to stop the smuggling at the source. Plenty of fast-paced action makes this a good kids book. I recommend this to any Hardy Boys fan.

The Hardy Boys go to Mexico to investigate stolen artifacts. This kids book has plenty of fast paced action, but it's far from being the best in this series.

Frank and Joe are asked to safeguard an Egyptian mummy being transported from a New York museum to Egypt and to locate five valuable Egyptian statuettes stolen from the museum. Also, Mr. Hardy asks the boys help in stopping a gang of rebels on a small Mediterranean island nation. This book was action packed and fans of the volumes currently produced would probably love this book; however, fans who liked the volumes of the original series, when Frank and Joe primarily stayed in and around Bayport, will find this book too modern for their liking and probably won't enjoy it as much.

I laughed my way across the desert southwest as a pre teen in the early 80s, with this book as the source of my mirth. There are some interesting points to be had for the young man interested in survival, but at the expense of some painfully bad writing: "Frank listened appreciatively to the rhythmic beat of the modern Jazz which Joe preferred."

Great fun in a campy, Brady Bunch sort of way.

Hardy Boys Walk on Wild Side

An entertaining Hardy Boy book for one simple reason: they finally shed the goody-goody image. Taking the case of Bob Conway, a ne'er-do-well biker accused of hijacking, against their father's commands, the Hardys soon find themselves on the wrong side of the law, because Comway had recently escaped from jail. In this casefile, the brothers find themselves up against a ruthless motorcycle gang and a desperate bounty hunter. The Hardy's attempt to clear a man's name is a good lesson in friendship. Even though every one seemed to be against Conway, the Hardy Boys stood up for him. The book did, however, miss some opportunities for more exciting action. The mere fact that the Hardys were on the wrong side of the law makes this a must-read.
