Frank, Joe, Chet, Tony and Biff head to the Pine Barrens area of New Jersey to search for a treasure buried in the wilderness in 1781. The mystery was very interesting and I found myself quickly drawn into the book, but I found that toward the end of the book, I was starting to lose interest a little bit, for whatever reason. Overall, the book was good and I think that most Hardy Boys fans would enjoy it.

The Outlaw's Silver is an interesting story about a lost silver treasure and a band of smugglers who want to find the silver before the Hardy Boys. The Hardys and Chet head to the Pine Barrens region of New Jersey to investigate. Well written, with a fairly intricate plot, and one of the better paperbacks.

I would like to express my disappointment that Simon & Schuster has allowed the early paperbacks (#59-85) first published under the Wanderer label to go out of print. These books are the last good Hardy Boys stories. Starting in 1987, the Hardy Boys books started to be written for a much younger audience and no adult would even think of reading one. The series abruptly went into the dumper.

It was great to pick up a Hardy Boys book, and remember the many stories I have read before. I recommend this one, but I like "A Killing in The Market" better.

A Bit Predictable, But Still Enjoyable

Clues in a million-dollar bank robbery in Washington, D.C. lead Frank, Joe and Chet to the Maine wilderness where they join a white-water raft race. I found that certain plot points in the book were very predictable and that the amount of contact the Hardys have with the criminals in the first half of the book was low; despite this, I still enjoyed the book and would recommend it.

Sabotage at Sea is a good kids book, but it's not as awesome as many of the books of this series. I recommend it to anyone who's already a Hardy Boys fan.

Sabotage at sea is enjoyable, with fast-paced action and mystery. I recommend this for any fan of the series. But if you haven't read any Hardy Boys books, I suggest starting with the first book of the series.

This book was not the best Hardy boys out but it still had an O.K plot. When a missing film goes missing at a sci-fi covention it is up 2 Frank and Joe to find it. This is an alright book and if you are a sci-fi lover then you MIGHT like it.

Frank, Joe and Chet go to New Orleans to follow up a clue to a series of art gallery robberies in the Bayport area. Also a friend asks them to help his grandfather whose jazz club has been targeted by a voodoo cult. This book wasn't bad, the mystery was average and the action level was average, too. The title I feel is a little misleading though, as voodoo doesn't have all that much to do with the book. Most Hardy Boys fans would probably feel that reading this book wasn't a waste of time.

Hi, I have been a reader of The Hardy Boys mystery stories for a long time. I have many in my collection, and I read and reread them all of the time. It seems, though, that lately the books have been losing sight of the first 50 or so books in the series.. It seems to me that the style of the author has changed. Although the books are ok, they just dont seem to have the appeal of the older ones. The author should try to work on this. Otherwise the book was pretty interesting

Another great entry in the Hardy Boys canon. I really loved the cover art for this one! This was another good story, full of twists and turns and lots of suspects. If you pay close enough attention you could figure out who the culprit is(I didn't though!) Anyway I don't want to give anything away. Good characterization and realistic dialogue and action. It was also nice to catch up with another character from the old books, Phil Cohen, who is dating a member of a local rock band. It seems someone is making trouble for her band, sabotaging equipment and doing other nasty stuff. All in all, a great mystery, I highly recommend it for Hardy Boys fans.

A Battle Of The Bayport Bands

"Wreck And Roll" is the rather tedious tale of a battle between two up-and-coming bands from Bayport. The Hardy's pal, Phil Cohen, is dating one of the band members and the Hardys quickly get involved when someone tries to sabotage the band's efforts for stardom. There's some frenzied action and pointless violence as this tale limps along to its rather obvious conclusion.

Mr. Hardy asks Frank and Joe to find a teenage girl he believes has joined a religious cult; also, a comic book publisher asks for help when one of comic book characters comes to life and starts terrorizing people. An average book; not great, but not bad. An alright plot with a moderate amount of action. Definitately worth reading.
