Yet another in the "Find Your Fate" series, this book is entertaining in that it involves the reader in the storyline, and it gives the reader control of the story.

If you want ten new stories by RL Stine then 'More and More Tales to Give You Goosebumps' is the book for you. The only bad points overall about the book is that for being so expensive you'll read it in a day (my own fault for naturally reading too fast) and that with my version of the book the pages smelt a bit wierd (but hey, I kinda like that smell!). Since it's a compilation of stories (which is what toasts it in so much great variety) then I'll go through each story one by one . . .

The Haunted Guitar - a nice crisp start to the book. I like it. The author does take a bit time getting to the scary part but overall description is also what makes these Goosebumps stories so . . . good, put simply! 9/10

Tune in Tomorrow - seems kinda dull and isn't scary as such, just has a strange twist in it. One of the slightly worser ones. 6/10

Live Bait - like in the first story, the author takes a bit to get on with the story with the odd pointless thing, like when Timmy falls through the pier. Decent nonetheless though. 7/10

Something Strange About Marci - seems pointless throughout but with just the final sentence of the story everything seems to make sense. Great if you want something funny and smart. The only part that will give you goosebumps as such though is how the queer smell of the pages still hasn't worn off while you've already reached page 50. 9/10

The Ghost Sitter - kinda pointless and doesn't make as much sense as the others. Dull. 6/10

Fun With Spelling - When I first heard the title of this story I thought it was on about some kind of scary English lesson! It's actually about spells and the poor girl becoming the victim of it all. One of the trademark stories of the book. 9/10

Matt's LunchBox - so funny it's ridiculous! Matt buys a Lunch Box and the cartoon monsters on the label come to life. HILAIRIOUS! 9.5/10

Stuck in 1957 - on about a girl who gets trapped in the period of Elvis Presley and the like. Good. 8/10

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall - this one would probably appeal to boys because it's about a girl who always looks pretty by putting on perfume and lip gloss. Trouble ensues when her best friend Mirror comes to life and alters her into a fat slouch. Totally un-Goosebumps style but I like it! 9/10

What's Cooking? - another truely hilairious one. An old school cook called Chop Suey rises from the dead and chases after Robert and Diana armed with a cleaver in an attempt to chop them up into her new meat surprize. Neat. 9/10

My son is almost 10 years old and "devours" the Rotten School series. He can't wait for # 16 to be published in January 08. I pay a fortune in shipping charges to order them from Lebanon, but it's (he's) worth it.

A good collection of Fear Street Stories!

Review Date: 2005-08-12
This collection contains three novels from the Fear Street Series, written by R. L. Stine. They are "The Surprise Party", "The Wrong Number" and "The Cheater". Given below is a description of each of them and my review on the books.

The Surprise Party: A psychotic killer has just murdered a boy named Evan in the Fear Street woods and has gotten away with it. It is now a year later and Meg Dalton is living her life peacefully with her close friends Shannon, Lisa, and boyfriend Tony. One day, Lisa informs Meg that Ellen is coming back to town. Ellen was Evan's girlfriend and one of Meg's closest friends, and once he died, Ellen left all her friends and moved elsewhere. Meg decides that she should throw a surprise `Welcome back!' party for Ellen, so that Ellen doesn't feel awkward about her visit. However, someone else is insistent on making sure that the party doesn't take place, even if it means killing Meg. (Good: 4/5)

The Wrong Number: One night, Deena Mertinson and her best friend Jade Smith start making prank calls to people from their high school. Whether it's the school's biggest nerd or the most popular guy, Deena and Jade have fun calling and teasing them. Now Chuck, Deena's half brother is coming to stay with them in Shadyside because he got into a lot of trouble in Central City (where he lived before). At first, he is totally rude to Deena and her dad, and also starts causing trouble at his new school. One night, he discovers Deena and Jade making prank calls to some students, and blackmails to let him in on their game. Deena gets scared when Chuck starts making threats in his calls. In fact, things become worse when, one day, to prove a point, Chuck calls a random number and they all hear a woman about to be murdered! From this point on, the story turns into a murder mystery, where Deena, Jade and Chuck have to find out who the killer is, and which one of them is going to be his next victim! (Excellent: 5/5)

The Cheater: Carter Phillips has everything going for her; she's smart, she has the perfect boyfriend, Dan Mason, she has her best friend Jill Bancroft, her dad is the criminal court judge in Shadyside...well, almost everything. Her father keeps pressuring her to get a score of 700 or above on her math achievement test so that she can get into Princeton. Carter tries her best, but knows she cannot get a score like that. One day, a guy named Adam Messner overhears her cry for help, and tells her that he will take the test for her, in return for a date with Carter. Carter feels that it is an easy compromise and agrees. At first things seem to go well, and Carter actually finds herself a little attracted to Adam. But Adam wants more...much more! From dragging Jill into Adams gang, and putting an animal's heart into her bag, to blackmailing for money, Carter feels that Adam has total control over her. No matter what Carter does, Adam blackmails her further, to the point where Carter starts thinking of murdering him. Is she capable of doing this, and will all her troubles actually come to an end? (Average: 3/5)

Of the three stories, "The Wrong Number" is the best among them, and "The Cheater" is a little boring compared to the other two. R. L. Stine does a good job of scaring the reader, and you will find yourself turning the pages on each story, because they are so intriguing and suspenseful. All in all, this is a good collection for any teen horror fan!

an exciting collection!

3 of RL Stines gripping mysteries make up the book entitled No Way Out.
The Surprise Party, The Wrong number and The Cheater are all about teenagers who are threatened by someone evil on Fear Street, and have to find their way out of a maze of threats and deceit.

The Surprise Party... Meg could be in danger from her own boyfriend when she comes too close to accidentally discovering the murderer of one of her closest friends.

The Wrong Number... Deena, Jade and Chuck make a prank call to a random number on Fear Street and hear a woman call for help!!

The Cheater... Carter asks a sleaze to take her math test for her and is stuck in a hell of blackmail.

All of these stories will keep you glued to the page if you like mystery and suspense.
They are probably exciting novels for both teenagers and adults.

Have you ever been on a ride where you think your going to die? Lizzy and her brother Luke have experienced this feeling too much. The Moris family was planning to have a fun day at Zoo Gardens Theme Park. In this book written R.L. Stine, the Moris family had gotten lost and decided to spend One Day at HorrorLand. After they had got out of the car it blew up! Lizzy, Luke, her mom and dad and Clay, Lukes friend were all stranded on a park of death. Lizz, Luke and Clay went down the Doom Side. They all went down a slide Liz picked her lucky number 3, Luke, 5 and Clay picked number 10. They all came out the chute except for Clay. Liz had a good idea. Soon Luke and Liz were going down the same slide as Clay did. Down and down they went. They saw a glow up ahead it was a blazing fire Luke thought they were toast. He closed his eyes and poof he was ok. BAMMMM!! They were shot out of the chute and landed right on their back. "OOOWWWW! that hurt" Liz said. Luke was so happy to out of that long dark tunnel and so was Liz. Soon they headed for the house of mirrors. Not long after that, they were all trapped and all of the walls were closing in on them. Will they live? Read the book to find out.

I like this book because I love Goosebumps books. And I chose to make a review on this author and this book bacause I even saw the movie too. The book I chose to make a review on is One day at Horror Land. I also saw another movie about the Goosebumps series entitled, Dont go inside the Basement. I also read Lock in Terror Tower which is also one of my favorite books from Goosebumps. I also remember another book that is entitled The Return of the Dummy. I think each person in this world should read Goosebumps books because kids like these type of books . Adults should read the Goosebumps books because then they would enjoy the books too.

The world's most boring birthday party turns into a festival of fright when the kids are treated to a visit from a crrrreeepy clown. Not only that, but the reader gets to choose the ending.

R.L. Stine's "multiple ending" format is at its best in this book. It features over 20 different endings and the scariest clown you've ever met.

My 7YO son ripped through every book in this series. If you want your boy to read chapter books on his own, this is the way to do it. As soon as the next one in the series comes out, we'll be sure to get it, and he'll read it in one sitting. My son was also a big fan of Captain Underpants, of course.
