Robbie and Dora are the spookiest ghosts on Fear Street. At least, they think they are. Until Oliver Bowen moves into their house. Oliver can't be scared! The kid has an explanation for everything. The sheet rising off a chair all by itself? Only the wind. The howls and moans at midnight? His sister having a nightmare. The horrible face in the attic window? Just a weird reflection. But Robbie and Dora have a plan. A plan to scare Oliver out of his socks-and out of their hosue for good.

It's about Oliver Bowen who is haunted by a ghost. My favourite part was when the ghost possessed the computer, it created a startling scene. Once I started reading this book I couldn't put it down. A must read for anyone who is brave enough.

This book is about Oliver Bowen. Oliver Bowen is not scared of anything, Even though he lives in a haunted house. There are even ghosts there, Robbie and Dora, two of the ghosts are trying to scare him. Next comes the funny part, Robbie and Dora followed Oliver to school. Dora's plan was to make his tools float but that did not work. Now they will have their master plan. But will the master plan scare Oliver? Thee's only one way to find out.

Bernie Bridges tells the story in #13 of the Rotten School series by R.L. Stine. A 4th grader in this co-ed boarding school, Bernie wants to win Most Popular Student and have his photo printed in the yearbook. The cake has to do with the birthday party he tries to get his friends to hold for him (even though it is not his birthday). You won't have to do much promoting to get this series of books in the hands of your (especially boy) students. The print is large and enticing, the chapters are short and filled with situations that are everyday occurrences for kids (The Stomp Game), characters with names like Leif Blower, April-May June and Mr. Pupipantz, and the eyeball-rolling gross humor that keeps kids hooked. Absolutely essential are the B&W drawings of Trip Park, which interpret the text to the nth degree. Let your students chow down on perfect English, grammar, punctuation and writing style without torture. For a change they'll be reading (and getting what's good for them) for fun.

My son, 10 y.o., will read if necessary, when he has to. Until we stumbled upon the "Rotten School" series by R.L. Stine (16 books)- now he will read, just to read! Finally, he has learned the joy of reading (I'm a reader) that I have tried to instill in him from the day he was born. He has read excerpts from the book to me and I can understand why he likes them, they hit his funnybone and make him laugh - but at least he's reading! We bought the whole series at once after he was only half way through one book. He would also recommend "Diary of a Whimpy Kid" - there are 2 books out now, a third is to be release later this year.

Ok, this book was certainly hard for me when I read it(9 year old). I read it again like 3 month ago(13 year old), and I understood what it meant. This book is for 10+, but it was difinitely superior story. The ending was kinda difficult to understand, but that's ok.

I give a 5 star to this book.

To people who don't like Goosebumps because its not scary. What do you expect? It's for 7 - 12 year old kids, meaning not very frightening but a mysterious ending. Goosebumps is a mystery book in a sort way, because every time you read goosebumps series, you wonder how the storyline is going to be connected to the ending. I started to read goosebumps at the age of 8, and never once did I thought goosebumps was scary. (I read almost every book of the Original Goosebumps Series). But I still love goosebumps, and R.L.Stine is the authour that made me wanting to be an authour. So the bottom line is, don't read goosebumps if you want chill on your back. If you want a chill, I'd say watch the movie "The Grudge". LOL!

This book is pretty good. I just thought the mummy was real. It was just General Rameer's daughter. Since R.L. Stine made "Scream School" the things have either been jokes or something that isn't real. How about The Werewolf In The Living Room not be a joke?

Wes bought a poster from Sal's 5 and 10 store. You have to cross your eyes to find the hidden picture inside. It was a sterogram poster. Mr. Grosling the 6th grade teacher, was teaching Wes about that there was a picture inside. Wes spent about 2 hours looking at the poster he still couldn't find the picture inside. He wished he had not bought it. Wes said the thing inside saw me to. The thing inside the poster is a ghost that wants to get out of the poster and get Wes.If you think this book is cool then read it.

When Mitch breaks up with his girlfriend of 2 1/2 years, she absolutely loses it. She does anything and everything in an attempt to get him back, including buying him a $500 present for his birthday, stalking him, stalking his new girlfriend and completely turns her back on her best friend. She does the worst thing a girl could possibly do to another girl and hits rock bottom thinking that at least maybe he would care enough to come to her funeral.

A story that has most likely happened to more than one girl, you get her POV and actually feel sorry for her at times.

Too good to miss

I read this book for at least 4 times from the beginning to the end. The book describes how a teenage girl did everything to get her ex-boyfriend back. She did something really horrible. Yes ! horrible, but you will understand her feeling if you ever dump by your lover even though you still love him/her. By reading the book, I am sure you will remember how love once made you do crazy things and you can remind yourselves again the rule of love : When someone do not love you anymore, no matter what you do, you cannot win him/her back. So love yourselves and stop acting crazy and beg for pity.

I read it three times!

(This was written by a student at TestMagic) I was thirteen years old when I read this book for the first time. It was the first book I actually enjoyed reading. Although I am going off to college now, I still want to read this book over again. This book is about a teenage girl going through a tough breakup. It's really touching and realistic-I am sure that everyone can relate to this book somehow. I could really feel what the girl was going through, and you could definitely learn a lot by reading this book.

Frighteningly Funny!

Review Date: 2006-10-06
Here we are at book #3 in the Mostly Ghostly series. This particular series MUST be read in order, as they are told in a "to be continued" fashion. Each centers on Max an 11 year old boy and his two ghostly friends (Tara and Nicky) who don't know how they died and cannot find their parents (also dead). We've spend much of the series thus far with the three of them trying to find even the smallest details on the Nicky and Tara problem...I'm a bit disconcerted at this point that he's not bothered to oh, check the library for articles about the house, books by the parents (who were paranormal investigators), or even news paper accounts about the disappearance/death of the family...mostly what we get is Max (who is practically abused by this brother and put down in ways that are demeaning and degrading by his father while his mother sits by and passively allows this to happen...because GASP, Max is smarter than this is athletic...the HORROR) running from place to place trying to find some pendants and looking more nuts to others as each page is turned.

Annoying as this is, the stories in this series are all creepy, packing in some genuine frights, despite the over the top way Stein chooses to portray Max's life. I like that Max is klutzy and nerdy, not in the "in crowd," and there is a lot of humor that goes with the chills and thrills, which I think makes for good story telling...without the humor, I think the series would get bogged down and depressing. But really, is it necessary for every kid's series to have the "hero" of the story be so very abused and misunderstood by his friends and family? Just once, I'd like to see more balance in this area. Complaints aside, I'm still reading because I want to know what happened to Nicky and Tara's parents as much as they do...I genuinely want to know what happens next and I'm willing to keep reading to find out, and that says plenty about the quality of the writing here! I give it a solid B (mostly because I can't rate it higher with all unrealistic drama regarding how Max is treated by his family), we're finally moving on with the story line and Max is seeming more nuts all the time to the people around him, but we've been given more clues and we're anxious to find out what happens next!

This wasn't the best book written by R.L. Stine but it was good. In this book, you get to choose you own adventure and choose from over 20 diferent endings. Scream of the Evil Genie is mainly about you coming home but then you discover that no one else is inside your house. So since your parents, and brothers and sisters are away, you decide to watch t.v. since you don't need to fight over it and you also yearn for a can of soda. So you go inside the refrigerator and pop up a can of soda. What you discover shocks you!!! There's a genie named Jenna that just poped right out of the soda can. She says she will grant you any three wishes. You think Sweet!! I can choose any three things I've always wanted. However, you learn that you should always be careful of what you wish for. It just might come true.

During the 80s, this book was part of some periodic mail-in orders that my school teachers conducted to promote reading. It took several weeks to process, but when she made the announcement that the books had arrived, I remember getting a feeling of overwhelming excitement (similar to a feeling I get when an Amazon package arrives in the mail, on a toned down scale).. as well as extreme frustration at having to wait until the end of the day before she handed out the merchandise!

So I checked out this book by R.L. Stine, noticing the cool map of Hark and various sketches, and the unique branching-out style of storytelling. And hence began my fascination with the world of RPG. You are a bounty hunter on this gloomy planet, in search of a renowned treasure trove. There is only one correct path, and choosing the wrong one will either leave you burnt to a crisp in the scorching harkian desert, a helpless morsel of one of it's indigenous monsters, a headless decor used by a marauding nomad, or lost in its unforgiving dungeons and marshlands.

My grandma ordered the solution for me by mailing Mr Stine and complimenting him on a fine book. The solution letter showed the correct path, as well a note stating that he was happy she enjoyed the book. I wish I still had that letter, brings back great memories.
