The book I read was "It came from beneath the sinks," by GooseBunps Iscolastic. I really enjoyed the book for 3 reasons; One,because it is extremely intense and exciting. Another reason is because it is a mystery book and I really like to hear a good mystery. Lastly because I once believed that there was a monster under my bed. I recomend it to anyone who loves a good scare and loves mysteries. Once you start reading, you won't be able to stop. This book is great, I garantee that you will enjoy this book.

Kat and Daniel moved to a new huge house. Their dog killer is growling and going crazy at the sink. Under the sink Kat pulls out what looks like a dirty old sponge. Than the sponge starts to shake and get stronger whenever something bad happens to Kat. The sponge under the sink is called a grool, and Kat can't kill it.
A good book. I rated it 4 stars because it was a little boring -- Scottie Schaeffer age 10

This book isn't one of r.l. stines best, but it wasn't one of his worst either. It was just alright. This book was also interesting to. This book is about a girl named kat and her brother, I can't remember his name. They just moved into a new house. Kat finds a weird sponge under the sink. Ever since Kat found the sponge bad things have been happening. I took off one star for this book because it seemed kind of strange that a sponge would give people bad luck. I think they could of used something else instead of sponge, like something more scary. This book was alright and it is still worth reading.

"Here we are, kids" says Katrina's dad. Katrina Merton is a girl like any other. She had just moved. She has a little brother named Daniel, and just like most girls, she hates him. It Came From Beneath the Sink by R.L.Stine is a story that will give you well...goose bumps.
The story is set in a big house with butter-yellow shutters where Katrina now lives. They have a dog named Killer who is afraid of everything. He started to bark at the sink.
They found a little monster called Grool who is a mysterious sponge. These books give readers mysteries to solve. The readers give his books two thumbs up. These are the best books I have ever read!

It's Spongetastic!

This book rocks! Not only is there a breathing evil sponge but a potato with sharp razor teeth...you can't get better than that. The story was very interesting, scary, funny and even awkward. It kept me reading for hours....I wish my sister would find a sponge of her own and leave me alone!

The Sitter is a great book by prolific author of horror, R.L. Stine. He is a commercial writer who turns out at least 2 new books each month and writes in an accessible, understandably addictive way. He attracts not only kids to his Goosebumps and Fear Street book series, but even with his novels for adults--like The Sitter--Stine captivates and keeps you guessing until the end.

Stine gives us a woman, Ellie, who suddenly finds a job taking care of two interesting children over the summer in the Hamptons. What started out as a fun and exciting escape from the city will, without warning, become a harrowing, terror filled experience. You won't guess the ending!

I had not picked up an RL Stine novel since junior high when I read his Fear Street novels, but I thought The Sitter may have potential. I found this book at a used book store, saw it was adult fiction, and decided to give it a try. The plot is a bit stale, as well as formulaic to Stine's teen fiction (dead flowers, dead cats, dead hand, etc.) with the exception of some steamy scenes that extend beyond Fear Street's PG-13 teen makeout sessions. Overall, it's not a bad read. The plot unfolds nicely with The Hamptons as a backdrop, and Ellie, the heroine/female lead is quite likeable and a well-developed character. Unfortunately, as the drama and horror progresses, the story loses momentum and Stine can't seem to make up his mind whether this is a supernatural horror tale or a vengeful, murderous plot against the heroine, or maybe even both. Keep your expectations in check and you may be pleasantly surprised at this quick beach read.

This is excellent. It's Stephen King meets "bridget Jones." Though out of the target market, i did read some of Stine's "teen" stuff, and it was GREAT! Like Stephen King Lite --but THIS made Stephano's writings look like nursery tales! The character of Ellie was likable and I cringed when she received the gruesome gifts, and her stalker ex tormenting her. Horror and chick lit combined in a scrumptious, refreshing cocktail of entertainment. Should have bought two copies. i have a feeling I will wear the first one out with rereading

Typical RL Stine.Someone terrifing Ellie.Sending black flowers and a scary note.Plus on her birthday a human hamd.Yet who would want to do this?Is it Chip, the husband of Abby who hired Ellie as a live in nanny to watch her 2 kids Heather and Brandon. Also what's up with Brandon who's 4 years old and does'nt speak. Also there's a guest house that everyone tells Ellie to stay away for ...Why...Guess you'll have to read the book to find out.

RL Stine has made a fortune catering to children and young teen readers. He, until this book, was a trusted name to be in the hands of that audience. However, my 11 yr. old son was exposed to outright overly adult words, topics and descriptions about drinking, drugs and full on sexual acts all in just the first chapter. There was nothing on the back of the book summary or anywhere else to give any awareness that this book should be only for mature, adult readers. Shame on RL Stine and his publisher for blindsiding parents and their children for his need to expand his literary prowess in the adult world without any concern for the negative impressions that he has caused in the minds of unsuspecting children and parents who thought he was one of the 'good guys'.

This isn't Stine's best of the Goosebumps series, but it is a nice, quick read and is somewhat amusing. I wouldn't put it high on my list of recommendations, but Stine's hardcore fans will enjoy it.

Ricky Beamer needs his activity hours to graduate sixth grade so when his efforts at the school paper are sabotaged and Tasha, the editor, kicks him off the paper, he's furious. He's been picked on for a long time and this is the final straw. To get his revenge, he sneaks into the school and places a secret message in the paper. It says "Calling all creeps! Call Tasha after midnight!" when he leaves - and when it gets published, it says "Call RICKY" instead!

When the creeps start calling, Ricky's sure who's on the other end - his four enemies, Brenda, Jared, David and Wart. And he's right. What he doesn't know is that he thinks they're creeps, when they're really Creeps - lizard creatures intent on taking over the school - and they think Ricky is their Commander!

As often happens in Stine's books, the ending just doesn't come off right. Throughout the story, Ricky's got one friend, Iris, who seems to disappear at the end, without explanation. Not that most kids will notice that - and the book IS aimed at kids. Still, Stine's done better.

Why did ricky try to play that joke on Tasha? Now the joke's on him-The creeps are crank calling him. and these Creeps are icky lizards. we find out later that Brenda, wart, David are the creeps. They were the ones who planted The Identity seeds. Ricky was forced to place the Identity seeds in the Tuna Surprise. Luckily, nobody eats tuna Surprise. The Creeps plan had failed. Wrong, the Creeps had more and they were going to put it in the cookies when there was Food or bake sale. What will happen to Tasha? Will Ricky get his revenge?

So far so good. like i said this is the 2nd to the last book. This book has 8 pages of pictures like the others i reviwed like TV Book #9 Go eat worms, TV Book #11 Let's get invisible, TV Book #10 Bad hare Day like that. But i wished The goosebumps presents had more pages. My parents did not have a hard time buying Goosebumps Books.

***So keep in mind- The Goosebumps presents has few pages like 59 pages until 60pages. The Original goosebumps has 112-138 pages [as far as i know]. The short original goosebumps Books are for 9-10 years old. The Long Original Goosebumps books are for 11-12 years old. Goosebumps books are still allowed until age 16 [as far as i know]***

Reader Beware- Your i for a scare. Read if you dare!
Happy reading Goosebumps Fans =)

In this horriffying thriller, 4 teenagers get a job at "Wolf Inn". They got a friend's aunt to drive them there, then she starts having pains. So they take her to a cousin to help her, then they go to the island. Then they meet the man of the hotel, he tells them the hotel needs fixing and that they should go. The teenagers convince him into fixing the hotel to stay. So he says, " Yes." Then weird things start happening. My opinion is that you should read this great thriller, if you enjoy horrifying books. Also if you enjoy the books R.L. Stine writes, then this book is for you!

I totally recommend everyone reading this book. In my opinion, it is one of R. L. Stine's best books. At the beginning, a girl named Cari and three friends go for a job at an old hotel. When they get there, someone tells them to leave immediately. They don't listen and start working. Everything was okay until they see a ghost, until Simon Fear dies, until they try to escape the island and notice they're TRAPPED!

I do not really remember what the story was about except some parts. I am in the 8th grade and had last read the book in the 5th grade when the other day I started thinking of the book and how good it was. I couldnt remember the title and I have spent hours trying to find this book on the internet. After I looked at some titles that looked familiar I found Party Summer, and knew that was the book. I looked at some of the reviews, and sure enough it was! I was sooo happy and after I am finished writing this review I am going to buy this book! Please read, because after about 4 years I remembered how good the book was, and I know that you will love it too. Dont listen to the bad reviews because if you do, you dont know what youre missing! The Blob that Ate Everyone is a very good story. This story is an adventure with three main characters and a blob monster. I think they put a lot of detail into the story and they used adjectives to make it sound scary. I would recommend this book to someone who is 12 or 13 years old because they can handle reading scarier stories.

It was not quite what I expected it to be until the woman Jenny babysits for said something about a child being murdered in the house before they movied in. I thought the babysitter was more interesting. I have not read part 2, or 3 but they both sounded interesting. I think R.L. Stine fans would love this book it had a very shocking ending though. The Babysitter 4 is the best book I've ever read apart from The Babysitter. You'll never be able to guess the root of all the horror going on as Jenny, in spite of what she's been advised, takes yet another babysitting job. Unlike the past books in the series, this one is totally different and original. It's not about murder and rage and craziness. It's about mysterious sightings, noises, and stories. What's happening to Jenny? Is she being deceived by her own mind, her own eyes, her own ears? Or is there something else going on? This book is suspensful and will keep you guessing till the end! Highly recommended! 5 STARS!

This is the 4th book of a 4-book series. Even though each book can stand alone, it is more fun and interesting if you read them all, in order. In the first 3 books, Jenny had tramatic experiences in the babysitting department.

In this 4th and last book, the new next-door neighbor asks Jenny to watch her kids. Should Jenny totally give up babysitting?

Strange things happen next door. Is Jenny crazy, or are these things really happening? The ending of this book is fun and satisfying.

I re-read these 4 books after 10 years or so of reading them the first time, because they were so good. I think they were even better the second time around! (If that's possible.) They have been a fun and enjoyable adventure and escape. I think these 4 babysitting books are the best books that R.L. Stine wrote (that I've read, and I have not read them all). I think I'm done with R.L. Stine for a while, and I am going back to reading adult books. I highly recommend the 4 babysitting books to all teens and only die-hard fun-loving adults.

I enjoyed reading all R.L. Stine's cheerleader books (The First Evil, The Second Evil, The Third Evil, The New Evil, The Awakening Evil). I thought they were absolutely wonderful! So much so that they inspired me to write my own stories.

However, when I read this book I was very disappointed and felt it would have been a lot better if it hadn't been written at all.

In "The Evil Lives" there aren't any of the old characters in it, which is a disappointment but it is to be expected, I guess. I was still hoping that Corky would appear in this book as an adult and help everyone deal with the evil...

The thing that I find most idiotic about this book is how the evil comes back. Apparently Corky left a box with instructions on how to awaken the evil in a gym locker. What I'd like to know is WHY Corky would leave something so dangerous like that inside the school where anyone could find it and bring the evil back. She should have buried the box somewhere, or burned it.

The book Cheerleaders the Evil Lives by R.L. Stine is my favorite book for many reasons. One reason I like it is because it is scary. In this one part these girls call on an evil spirit, or think they do, because the wind picks up and blows the door open, but actually it is these guys walking in unexpectedly .While the guys are in there, one of them dies by hitting his head on the refrigerator. Another reason I like it is because it has basketball in it. During this basketball game someone dies mysteriously. How? Read it to find out. The last reason I like it is because it is hilarious. In this one part these guys , Luke and Brandon, get in a fight during practice and their girlfriends break up the fight, and the guys are made fun of by their teammates because their girlfriends had to break up the fight. All in all, you can tell why R.L. Stine's book is my favorite book.

First of all.. I feel compelled to direct this review to **What in the...?, January 6, 1999 Reviewer: Alexia from Kentucky, USA:

Your comment about no characters from the previous novels being in this.. well.. people have to die and/or get older to make a series seem even semi-realistic.. as far as the history.. "The Awakening Evil" explains the entire history of the evil.. I hardly think that this review was fare for this book.. But everyone has a difference of opinions but, I would NEVER call any book "stupid".

This book is a 4th in a series (The First Evil, The Second Evil, The Third Evil) and I think it is wonderfully well written with deliciously frightful turn of events.. You won't be able to put this down. However if you plan to buy the series, you should get "The Awakening Evil" as well.. This book brings fresh blood into terrifying events.. but leaves you wondering.. Did they really kill the evil for good?

This book should be titled America Dismissed, because the due process of law that was guaranteed under our constitution was totally neglected by the Defense Team and Jury. It's very tragic that this monster went free, and two great policemen had their integrity questioned by a bunch of money and fame hungry attorney's that turned this horrific crime into a racial issue. The only racist parts of this entire process were the defense portion of the trial and the jury verdict. Mark Furman's racist views (real or imagined) had absolutely nothing to do with anything here.

I read this book when it first came out and concluded there was too many questionable points that are hard to explain such as the gloves, the blood and 'his Bronco' leaving the scene etc. Since I am not a forensics expert, I will not attempt to decide guilt or innocence, evidence is there to prove the case, just too many questions. I am glad I was not on the jury.

What an outrage....if this case intrigued you, then I suggest you read this book and read the "evidence dismissed". Well written, and fast paced, I couldn't put the book down. It really puts a cast of doubt on the justice system. And to know this man is still out there walking around free, while two people are not, is unbelievable. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves true crime!

All that this book does is confirm what everyone, (except a large proportion of the black population) knows - that Simpson butchered two people and got away with it.

If it had not been for the blatant naked racism of the jury, Simpson would by now, hopefully, be rotting in hell where he belongs.

The Final Verdict

For OJ to be guilty, you must believe that he quickly disposed of the bloody clothes, shoes, and knives so they would NEVER be found, yet brought the socks and glove back to his home! And then smeared blood all over the console!

The coroner who did the autopsies testified "the forensic evidence says the murders occurred after 11PM". The limousine driver testified he brought OJ to the airport at that time. When you read this book, note how they avoid discussing these facts.

These books are helping my grandson learn the enjoyment of reading. He was having a hard time, but these books hold his attention and he really looks forward to getting a new one in the series.

THEY'RE ALIVE!

Jodie loves coming to her grandparent's farm, but something has changed. In the wide open space of their farm, the normal scarecrows have been replaced with evil looking
scarecrows. One night Jodie sees something weird. The scarecrows are moving, twitching on their sticks. She decides something is wrong. Throughout the book she has many fears. When Jodie gets curious about things she cant explain, Jodie try's to figure it out and something always goes wrong. The things she does with other characters including her grandpa and grandma can be deadly. This book The Field Of Screams by R.L. Stine is exciting and filled with suspense. There is also a whole series of GooseBumps with the same amount of suspense. I would recommend this book to someone who can handle scary situations. BEWARE YOU'RE IN FOR A SCARE.
