It`s about a family who is going on a vacation, but the trailer hitch (with the kids in it)breaks apart from the car. After tumbling down a hill for a couple of minutes, they end up at a camp,in the woods. They can`t contact their parents, so they just stay at the camp. The camp is a place any kid would want to be.Eventually they start to see strange things, and they also find out a dark secret...

Wendy went to camp jellyjam. They had a hard time getting there. They got there and they had to get coins. How ever won got to do somethings. They played a lot of sports. They had counselor doing bad things. This book was very cool. I like the way R.l.Stine used sportsin his book. The charters were very funny and sad at times. They were mostly funny. He made them seem so realy. He made a lot of details. He makes you want to know what happens next. It is a very good book.

More summer camp horror fun

I have an original 1995 print of this book from one of those Scholastic Book Orders you get in elementary school. This was always one of my favourites, partly because the guy on the cover (Buddy?) is so creepy and unsettling.

RL Stine did the "terror at camp" thing a few times, and this one has a pretty good pay-off without the bizzare ending of Welcome to Camp Nightmare (actually this ending is pretty bizzare too, but it makes sense within the story). Summer camp stories have a nice way of isolating kids, making them feel helpless, and picking them off one by one. In that way, Camp Jellyjam is thrilling, scary, fun.

Not all the Goosebumps books are worth buying, but Camp Jellyjam is one of the better ones. Recommended.

So freakin sweeet!

The Horror at camp Jellyjam is my second favorite Goosebumps book. It's about a girl named Wendy who's going on a vacation with her Mom, Dad, and her brother Elliot. They're traveling from Idaho to Wyoming and they have a big trailer hooked to the back of their car.Elliot and Wendy complain that they're bored so their parents let them go and sit in the trailer.

They stop the car and climb into the back trailer. Then when they're going up a hill the trailer unlatches and the trailer falls down a hill and they end up by camp jellyjam. They figure out that Camp Jellyjam is a sports camp and to all the kids and counselors winning is everything "Only the best" everyone says. Once they get used to the camp people start to disappear just like in Welcome to Camp Nightmare.

What's happening to everyone? Why is everyone so competitive? Why do the counselors act so weird? These are some of the questions you may ask before reading The Horror at Camp Jellyjam.

This book could be kind of creepy to little kids but not people over the age of 8.

The ending is very good and the problem is resolved in the end.

The Horror at camp Jellyjam is a Freak'n masterpiece!!
It's filled with suspece and curioustity that gets you hooked!
Okay,Wendy and Elliot were on there way to a family trip when they get detatched from there RV trailer thing, and so they get lost in this camp where like this little girl scares the crap outta you when she's trying to warn Wendy and elliot to get out.
So this camp is real competetive,And everyone is diveded into dorms and wendy's trying to get out of there, while this camp counceler and campers are creepily leaving clues on why they won't let Wendy to call her parents by unhooking there camp telephones and other ways of not keeping conntact with her parents and other stuff. Theres just so many weird and odd things that i can't tell you because It'll led right to the Most crazy reason why Camp jelly jam is acting so weird and zombie like.

p.s. Theres one secret i can tell you......(win a camper wins in a sport, they get these medals that hypnotize them. but i won't give you the reason why!)

Story: Holly, the main character, is going to help out at her uncle's camp, since her uncle is having trouble and she feels sorry for him. Holly isn't a very outdoors kind of person, and she is really nervous about camp. (I can really relate to this. I'm going to my first summercamp trip soon!) But Holly is going to have a hard time. One of the counslers is mean to her, the cabins are full of insects, her fellow campers are pranksters, and on top of that, her worst enemy, Gery, is at the camp too!
But for Holly, trouble in camp is going to get much, much worse...
Terible accidents are starting to happen. And all of them have one thing in common, a red feather! Holly thinks that all the accidents are related, and have something to do with the previous trouble at camp. The other campers think that it's nothing, but Holly goes to investigate anyway. (I like how Holly is smart enough to investigate on her own.) But will she find out who the killer is before the "accidents" turn to murder?

Good parts: I liked how Holly wants to help her uncle, and just help-out in general. She's kinda' smart too. This book has some good characters. I liked this book because it was very exciting and kept me interested! And the murders are very suspenceful! The book had a good plot, and I loved the ending too!

The minute (small) bad parts: The only thing I didn't like (WARNING SPOILER ALERT!) was that I wish that Gery was the killer instead. Also one murder was a little too gory. (Over-done. Exagerated.)
I still liked it though!
Five stars!

This Fear Street book is definitely one of my favorites! It's about a girl named Holly who has to work at her uncles's summer camp to help him out. It is one of those books that makes you extremely mad, because she figures out what is going on but no one will listen to her. It's also frustrating when the girls at camp are so mean to her, even pushing her into a lake with tons of nasty bugs. This book also has the nastiest death of any Fear Street book, which is one of the best parts. The ending is great, too. This is an awesome book from start to finish.

This is an awesome book in the Fear Street Saga. I have read six others in
this series but none with as crazy and edge of your seat moments as this one.
This book is what you would call a true horror.

This book is about a girl whose uncle owns a summer camp. They
are a little short on counselors, so her uncle asks her to join. She accepts.
But as time goes on, problems get bigger. Every little or big problem she has,
there is a red feather near the accident. After a little time, a girl gets murdered.
The police write down it was an accident, but she knows it is until she sees it
a red feather.

This is a YA book, but personally I strongly disagree with that.
The only part that might be a little bad is the detailing of a gruesome
murder. Probably 6-8 graders would enjoy it possibly some strong 5th
grade readers.

This book's main character is Holly. Holly is going to be a counselor at her uncle's camp. She is also very girly so this is very different for her. Then bad things start to happen! One of the counserlors is killed (in a very weird and different way)and other things begin to happen! The same thing is left at every "crime scene" too, a red feather. Somebody wants the camp to close...... for good!
I loved this book except for one thing....... the killer. I didn't really like who the killer turned out to be, but I liked the reason for being the murderer. I also really like how throughout the book you can read letters from "Cheif" or aka the killer.

Fear Street has always held me captive with it's tales of normal teenagers mixed up in terrifying situations.
I never thought I would dislike a Fear Street story, but I really am NOT KEEN on this one.
I can almost believe in the tales of ghosts and psychos. But this one is just ridiculous.I couldn't wait for it to be over.
It is about 2 teen girls who discover the formula to bring living beings back to life. The person or animal who was previously dead is now a monster and eventually explodes!!!!!!
If this had been my first experience of Fear Street I would never have read the other books!
It's kind of suspenseful but mostly not the one I would recommend.

This book was alright. I definitely wouldn't read again. It was not a believable story. Two girls are trying to scare a "science geek" by mixing dangerous chemicals together creating a formula that brings the dead back to life. It is definatly an R.L.Stine book. It was supposed to be scary but it was to predictable, and you could figure out the plot before it was half way through the book. I wouldn't recommend this book.

Well i'll admit i haven't read this book, but by the review below me it sounds SOooo much like Stephen King's Pet Sematary... which isn't exactly a bad thing, that book was fantastic. BUT, to me it seems a bit Copy-Catish--also this is one of the 'new fear street' books, in which you will also find a book called Camp Out in that series, which seems to be a Blair Witch Project wanna be . . . Hmm, R.L. needs to get his own ideas!

It was so good! The best part of the book is the last page. But don't read it before you read all of the book. I read this book at a sleep over around midnight and I only planned to read a chapter or two, but then it just got better and better! So I would read a chapter and my friend would always have to wait up so that she could hear what happend so I stayed up till around 2 in the morning just so I could read it.
You won't be able to put it down either!

Then they brought back a dog from dying. When they were coming from a party they ran over a girl named Candy. They did not like her because she kept on telling on them. But they did not mean it because they did not see her because she was crying. The reason she was crying because she got humiliated.Luckily her friend brought the formula.Well when ever they had the formula they would turn into a monster.Anyway whenever they got mad they will blow up.Candy kept on being mean to them and she stole their boyfriends.Well at the ending They got Candy to get mad. But she was asking them to give her the formula and they could not find it. Well when Candy did die she left a letter sying that she put the formula in their bottle of water.

This is the one of the many books of the Fear Street series, and it's really good. Fear Street is a series about scary and/or supernatural events that happen to teenagers in a ficitional town called Shadyside. In this book, an attractive actress starts getting threats and terrible accidents and deaths are happening all around her. Who could be doing this? Her new college boyfreiend or her jealous ex? Someone else? This has a pretty good twist ending and gives a good taste of future books in the series.Pulitizer material it's not, but for young teens, or anyone wanting a quick thrilling read, this suits the bill just fine. It's one of the best books in the series!

without any need of imagination.

Goosebumps
Werewolf of Fever Swamp

Do you like getting scared? If you do you, then read this book. It's about a boy, Grady who discovers a swamp and meets a boy named Ben who acted really strange. AHH! A big giant wolf like dog jumped on Grady BANG! He fell to the ground. Now, the dog like wolf is quite friendly. Read the book to find out if the creature is a wolf or a dog. And what happens to Ben. BEWARE!

I recommend this book for children who love scares. Do not read to children who are extremely scared of monsters. May cause nightmares.

My opinion is that from 8+ could read this book.

I watched a movie based on this book and I believe that you should read the book instead of watching the movie. The book has more details and more scary and fun things. I recommend people who like thrilling stories to read this book. I can't wait to read other books by the same author, R.L. Stine.

The book is called Thrill Club and the author is R.L. Stine. I am in the 8th grade. I'm fourteen years old. I think you should be about thirteen years old to read this book. Thrill club is about a group of kids that have a club where they tell scary stories. Then, the stories start coming true. Then at the end they figure out who did it. I liked the book for the most part. The only thing I didn't like was that they didn't say what happened to the characters. I lked the story line. They should put more charactors in the story. I think you should read this story.

I though that this was a very good book and I liked it. It was a little confusing because you think that a girl named Talia killed her friends, but Talia's boyfriend was controlling her mind. So he killed his friends. However, it was still a good book.
A group of five friends make up a club called the Thrill Club. What the Thrill Club does is: each week they have a meeting at one of their houses and someone reads a horror story that he or she wrote. When Talia reads the story her boyfriend wrote for her, it always comes true. So two of her friends end up dieing just like in the story.
I would recommend this book someone who likes to read horror stories. I think only a few parts of this book were scary. Whenever she reads a horror story that her boyfriend wrote for her it came true right after she read the story!

R. L. Stine did well on the plot of the book, but the story seemed good at the beginning until the last few pages just got real silly. Some good parts though. The twist was semi-predictable, but good enough. I was just expecting much more from this book. It's worth it if you want a good read, but not if you want a "I have to change my pants because it was so scary" kind of book. Go ahead read it in the dark.

Predictable plot...

The book is about a club which consisted of 5 teenagers, and the club's name was... very obviously, the Thrill Club! Well, the club was actually formed for its members to share some spooky moments together. There was a horror fiction writer in the group, Talia, whose job was to write horror stories and read to the other Thrill Club members during their weekly mettings. Meetings were held in different members' houses every week.

The meetings were always enjoyable until the stories that Talia wrote began to come true. Everyone also began to believe that she was the murderer...

I feel that the plot was quite predictable. I've already have an idea who the mastermind was behind all these early in the story. A few parts were certainly spooky.

Stine (the best author ever) and he is the guy to go to when you need a scare! I still can't get over the sad parts in this book, when Martha doesn't know anything about the holiday trip, or why she keeps drawing THE FACE of the boy she doesn't know. Of course, I give Mr. Stine a big whopping 10 for a great book in a great series. To fans everywhere: you can't read any of the Fear Street series without reading this! It's a must-read!

These books are helping my grandson learn the enjoyment of reading. He was having a hard time, but these books hold his attention and he really looks forward to getting a new one in the series.

I would recommend this book to people who like ghost stories. This book is the second best book I've ever read. GHOST BEACH is long and makes you want to read more but don't read to much or you might forget to do your oral report.

I REALLY REALLY LOVE goosebunps!! They are easy so I wish R.L stine would write some thicker ones! I think this book was a 100% GOOD, so I want to read more. I like how Jerry and Terry are like real twins so they fight. BEalieve me I have twin brothers. Overall Goosebumps was GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I remember collecting Goosebumps when the first wave came out a decade ago. Ghost Beach was written around the time the series was taking off in popularity, but before it got saturated in merchandise and took a dip in quality. There's nothing goofy about Ghost Beach, it's a straight-forward ghost story with some decent twists here and there. It's also one of the scarier books in the series, along the lines of "Welcome to Dead House." Good for some safe scares.

I used to get scolded for reading too much Goosebumps and not enough "real" literature, but it's hard enough to get kids to read these days. Recommended for any paperback collection.

Twelve year old Gretchen and her annoying stepbrother Clark go to live with their incredibly annoying grandparents. Gretchen's dad and Clark's mom are leaving for Atlanta to do some work together. While on the way to their grandparents house, which by the way is on a swamp, the two young ones complain on how they have to stay there. They do not want to stay their because of their grandpa Eddie and grandma Rose's smelly swamp. So many things went wrong; Grandpa Eddie was completly deaf and they could not hear a word they said. There were so many rooms to explore; so many creatures were crawling around in them. But let me stop now i will just let you read the book to find out the rest of the horrible things that happen in this excellent book!

I like this book because it was full of laughter, scarieness, and adventure, lots and lots of adventure. Actually all of R. L. Stine's books are full of adventureand are also intriguing and excitement.

If you like adventure or you think Monsters are real or cool, How to Kill a Monster is the perfect book for you! Make sure you tell a friend!

How to Kill a Monster is a fabulous book. It is a spine tingling, heart breathing, and breathe taking scary book. It is about two is my favorite o kids, Gretchen who is 12 and Clark who is 12 went to visit their grand parents. The grandpa is my favorite character because he is nearly deaf and the grandma just likes to cook. The two kids had some trouble getting there thought. At the house, they found a locked door and wanted to check it out. However, their grandparents tell them to stay away. Can you guess what happened? Yah they open the door and something comes out. When Gretchen and Clark go downstairs, they are locked in. Do they get out? You will have to read the book to find out. In my opinion people 9 and up should read this book. I just thought it was a wonderful book.
