I found this book to be very helpful. I am very interested in the 18th century evangelical movement in England - especially contemporaries of John Newton - and this is a great addition to my growing collection. It is difficult to find books on Grimshaw and Berridge. After purchasing this work, I also bought the companion book by Loane "Oxford and the Evangelical Succession" which discusses Whitefield, Newton, Scott, Cecil, and Wilson. Both are worth the price.

The revivial of interest in this book after Taylor won the Tempelton in 2007 is overdue as the work remains timely athology on Catholic intellectualism today. The editor, Fr. James Heft, SM, has subsequently compiled other anthologies of equally important and contemporary thought as can been seen by a search here with reveal. As their indexer, I know that Taylor's important concepts are found thematic throughout Fr. Heft's works.

For any one of the multitude of people dealing with c-spine problems, this book will explain the latest research and treatment.
Although the language is technical, with a little effort it is understandable. And while the price is steep, it is worth every penny. Read this book before deciding for or against any cervical spine treatment

Nicholl probes the connections between Shakespeare's King Lear and alchemy in this entertaining book. First he discusses the alchemical milieu of the late 16th century in Europe and especially in England, analyzing the most influential books and pamphlets of the time. He then shows how the plot of Lear can be regarded as describing an alchemical transformation of the King.
Is he correct? I have no idea. But with his characteristically graceful writing, Nicholl brings to life the world of Renaissance alchemy and puts forth an interesting case for his thesis. Even if Lear is not an alchemical allegory, Nicholl points out several passages in Shakespeare's plays and sonnets with alchemical connotations.
Even if you're not interested in Shakespeare, this book is worth reading just to understand what exactly the phenomenon of alchemy was.

Brown and Bolton's edited book on Clinical Electromyography remains a classic for electromyographers. The chapter on Diabetic Neuropathies by Asa Wilbourn is a logical and concise guide through the maze of manifestations of diabetic neuropathies. The chapter on Autonomic Nervous System by Zochodne and Kihara provides hard to find information on Autonomic testing. Each chapter of this book is packed with clinically useful information. A must read for the serious electomyographer.

No orthopaedist library will be complete without this well written and researched text. The concept of performing surgery without having a full understanding of all the potential complications is baffling. These volumes represent a "common sense" approach to the potential complications of the most common to the more complex surgical procedures. It is written in a concise style that allows for quick review and retention. As one who has always sought to learn from the mistakes of others I highly recommend this these text as being "essential" to any thoughtful orthopaedic surgeons library!

Do not be discouraged by the fact that this work is the author's first book. It is an excellent work with the content being ratified by some of the world's leading experts.
Aimed at any ordinary member of the public who is concerned about the need for protecting and conserving Coral Reefs, William Gray hits his mark spot on. The book is skilfully divided into 6 main chapters which allow the author to carefully build on what has been written so far as he brings the level of knowledge of the reader slowly forward.
Beautifully illustrated throughout with outstanding photographs and excellent graphics, I learned a lot from this book. It is the one book every scuba diver and concerned person should read on this topic.
