From the drawing on the cover to the content of the book, this information is incredibly insightful and helpful. Dr. Peebles (who channels through Summer Bacon) shares his views for growth and enlightenment for all. I took my time to read it through so I could better absorb the meaning and depth of the concepts.

I heard about Dr Peebles and Summer Bacon through a friend of mine in mid 2004 who suggested I might want to have a session with Dr. Peebles. And so I went to one of their open sessions in Mesa, AZ that Fall and was amazed. I was, however, still at a place of feeling pretty shy and timid about myself and wasn't sure I was ready to put myself in that vulnerable place of asking a question in front of others. At a later date, I did decide to have a session and set it up, but changed my mind when things seemed to be going pretty well for me. The more likely truth is that I still wasn't quite comfortable with the whole idea. And yet, since 2000, I had become open to a number of different avenues of spiritual growth.

Then about a year later this same friend alluded to the fact that I might want to connect with Dr Peebles. This time I did and in June of 2005 I had my first session. And my life hasn't been the same since! He has opened me up in so many ways and given me the courage to move forward in the ways that are important to me. I was so enthralled by all I learned in that first session that I began quarterly sessions with Dr Peebles and it has been a powerful, heart-opening, soul-fulfilling experience for me. I have come to a place of understanding what it means to have a loving relationship with myself and to being open to the love, joy, and compassion that I am to myself and to others. I am at the most incredible place I have ever been in my life and I am so grateful to Summer Bacon for being the loving, clear trance medium for Dr Peebles that she is and for having the beautiful spirit that she does in sharing her gift so tirelessly and lovingly to benefit us all. Thank you, Summer, from the depths of my heart. And thank you, Dr. Peebles, for all that you are and have been to me. And a very special thank you to my dear friend, Mary, for gently encouraging me to take this step.

And, yes, I love the book. I usually take it with me if I know I'm going to have some extra time. Then I open it up and know that whatever I read will have a special meaning for me. There is so much love and wisdom in this book and so much we are wanting to hear. And I also love how it includes articles of Summer's that contain so much wisdom. I especially love the line.........."The New Age is a Lie"......and she goes on to say...."This [what I do] is not 'new age.' Channeling, psychic readings, hands-on-healing, talking to angels....these things were happening even before the time of Jesus Christ. Same stuff, new packaging and brand name." Such a courageous statement and something I feel we have been wanting and needing to hear. I know it resonated deeply with me.

Essential Spiritual reading. A must have!

I HIGHLY endorse this book. Without question, Summer is the clearest and most profound trance medium of our time. Your heart will be opened and your awareness increased as you absorb the teachings, humor, love, and wisdom found in this first book by Summer Bacon and Dr Peebles. Summer and the wit and wisdom of Dr Peebles has changed my life and placed me on the path to my Heart.

For those of you who wish to continue reading I have shared my first encounter with Summer and Dr Peebles below. I am forever indebted to them both for waking me up to who I really am and placing me on the path to reconnect with my Heart.

Almost three years ago I came across Summer Bacon and the beautiful Spirit - Dr James Martin Peebles and my life has not been the same since. Prior to meeting Summer and Dr Peebles I'd been searching franticly for answers. I grew up wanting to know what life is all about. Here we humans are, spinning on planet earth in the middle of infinity. How did we get here? Where did we come from? Where are we going? What happens after we die? Will we see our loved ones again? My questions were endless.

So I searched and searched and searched and searched.

Under every rock, nook, cranny, church, 100's of books, tapes, CD's, seminars, guru's, priests, school, Bible, drugs, alcohol, metaphysical books, spiritual books, self-help books - you name it- I've looked into it.

Throughout it all I kept an open mind, until one day something rang true for me.

Lo and behold, one afternoon, I found myself in a room of 35 people in South Orange County, California at a metaphysical bookstore to experience the work of a trance-medium named Summer Bacon. I didn't even know what a trance medium was. But I was open enough to have to the experience and see for myself.

So there I was in the 3rd row. Nervous as one could be and extremely excited at the same time. Out strolls this wonderful sweet Plain Jane kind of a woman. No turbans, glass ball, incense, beads or Birkenstocks like I was expecting. Just Summer Bacon. She introduced herself as a trance-medium and began to tell the audience about her life and being chased by the Light since she was a little girl. She shared experiences that I could only dream about.

I want to preface something before I continue. I'm a waiter by profession and I'm able to read people VERY quickly. It's a trait I've picked up from over 20 years of doing this kind of work. You could say I'm a very good judge of character. I can instantly tell if someone is trying to pull the wool over my eyes or if they are being real, authentic, honest and standing in integrity.

After listening to her opening speech there was nothing but AUTHENTICTY, INTEGRITY and HONESTY coming from this woman. She was sweet, somewhat shy, nervous (she was just beginning to tour in public with her work), honest, pleasant, kind and passionate. This woman was like any sweet, loving and kind person you might have as a friend. That's how she came across. There was no phoniness about Summer whatsoever.

Before I walked into the room I knew a little bit about mediumship but nothing about trance-mediumship. After Summer shared what a trance-medium does my mind went into overdrive.

"What did she just say?"

She just said that Sprit speaks through her.

WHAT?? Did I hear correctly, Spirit speaks through her?"

NO WAY!! Impossible.

Oh boy... I'm either about to be had, or in for the most amazing experience of my life. Either way I'm not leaving. I just spent $35 bucks. Plus, I had submitted my name in hope's of being called upon and given the chance to ask a question of this "Spirit" Dr Peebles.

I held onto my seat as she talked about Dr James Martin Peebles. She told us that he lived from 1822 - 1922. During his lifetime he was an author, world traveler, a teacher, lecturer, clergyman, and medical doctor. He also became a leader in the worldwide spiritualist movement of the 19th century. Some other facts I found about him on another website disclose that he was active in the anti-slavery, temperance, and women's suffrage movements. He was a member of the American Indian Peace Commission, a delegate to several international peace conferences, and was appointed by President Grant to serve as Consul to Turkey in 1869.

OH MY GOD COULD THIS BE REAL? Could Spirit really exist? Could Spirit really speak through a living human being? OH MY GOD!!! OH MY GOD!! This is what was going through my mind as I heard the wonderful Spirit of Dr Peebles speak through Summer Bacon.

BRUCE, DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE IMPLICATIONS OF THIS IF THIS IS THE REAL DEAL? HOLY COW!!!

What was most amazing about this first meeting was the absolute contrast in personalities. Summer was shy, sweet, and nervous during her introduction and when Dr Peebles spoke, you were listening to another person altogether. It truly was the most amazing experience of my life. I will never forget it. Enough was said to me by Dr Peebles, when he answered my question, that I knew this was real.

Four months before I ever met or knew of Summer and Dr Peebles I was inside a Warner Brothers store with a friend and her son. I noticed a huge stack of Candyland games in the middle of the store. When I was very young this was my favorite game to play. I walked over to the stack of games, grabbed one and commented to my friend how much I enjoyed this game as a child. Two weeks after my first meeting with Summer and Dr Peebles I received a cassette tape in the mail of the first session I attended. I listened to my question and response from Dr Peebles. Imbedded in his discourse and answer was the comment "And that puts you on the game board of life. You have a game known as Candyland or such?"

I was so mesmerized during my first meeting with Dr Peebles that I never heard this from him. It wasn't until I listened to the tape recording that I heard this. It was, in fact, confirmation for me that what was going on was real. No one within that room knew I had picked up a game of Candyland four months prior.

This initial meeting with Summer Bacon and Dr Peebles occurred almost three years ago. Since that time a friendship has formed and exists to this day. I can speak honestly about her. She truly is sweet, kind, no-fluff, honest and of utmost integrity, and is without question the most gifted trance-medium of our time. I have been privy to numerous channelings with Summer, Dr Peebles and other quests and friends. Spirit exists and the messages that come through will awaken you and your heart.

Since my introduction to trance-mediumship three years ago, I have immersed my self in researching this phenomenon. Everything from going to other trance-mediums, traveling to Brazil to see John of God, reading scores of books on the subject and researching Near Death Experiences. Spirit does exist. We do live forever. Our essential nature is LOVE beyond description. God does exist and is a UNCONDITIONALY LOVING God. We are all connected. Nothing separates us. We must learn to LOVE - ourselves and those we co-exist with. Allow them to be who they are, without judgement. Express who YOU are. Diversity within Unity - thats what makes life rich. Earth is our home and she needs to be cared for not destroyed. Love is the ONLY solution, there is no other. Many of the Great Masters who have walked this earth have been telling us this for centuries. The only Truth is love.

God bless you Summer Bacon and Dr Peebles. I love you both so much!!!

I have had the great blessing of sitting with Summer Bacon as she channels the funny, wise, loving and insightful Dr.Peebles for the past three years. The experience has been life-transformational for me and for friends and family alike. I am delighted that his words are finally available for all to experience, learn from and be uplifted by. His messages on individual topics as well as for the planet at large are helpful and illuminating. He reminds us of who we truly are, and that it is only the illusions of separation that keep us feeling limited and unfree. A MUST READ for all seekers of Truth.

In the Ultimate Deceit of the Human Race, Ezzrath totally loads the book with knowledge and information that most people never see. I have found that most people who oppose and fear her work have never read it or tried to understand it. I recently attended a lecture by Ms. Shem that offered more than just explanation and many references, SHE LITERALLY PROVES that we humans have been trained and manipulated to think that life is one way when in all actuality it is truly another. I myself never believed most of what she had said being born into a Baptist Christian family myself. Since the title was about deceit and she did not speak as I had been trained to believe I assumed that Ezzrath was putting my religion down. But she is quite the opposite. She teaches what she beleives to be deceit in the many religions, but says that the utmost deceit is to judge one another and put each others religions down. She doesn't condemn beliefs or religious practises that promote the well being of the human race, which she says is in each and every religion along with misguided information that seperates and hurts the human race. It is this information that she reports on and calls for people to use their own minds.

If you are looking for a book with no hidden agenda, a wide source of information and best of all not looking for a following, this is the book for you. Her argument is presented in a way that is clear and easy to understand. A great starting point for anyone thirsty for more than what you can currently see. She tries to remove the veils or blinders that have been placed over your eyes for so long. I have brought several books to share with anyone that would have the courage to read it. There response was GREAT!!! I think of her book like the scene in the "Matrix" where he had to choose what pill to take. The pill of truth or ignorance is Bliss. I hope you choose TRUTH!!!

If your principles stand for love, truth, unity and peace, then this book will reflect a lot of what may be in your heart, but most of all it will elevate you to higher levels of consciousness. However, if you stand for destruction, fear, vengeance and division, then this book is written for YOU. Ezzrath eloquently explores and reveals with irrefutable proof about the Hebrew Israelites, who are they and where are they now. The truth about the Bible, or more precisely, the author shows you how to decipher the 'word of truth' as instructed by the Bible. The author reveals how and why the world is perpetually self-destructing and more importantly, WHO has led the human race to this ultimate deceit. This book is loaded with facts and information about the ALL THERE IS: religion, spirituality, metaphysical and esoteric. Soul provoking and should be on EVERY shelf of the people of faith. Better still, you should read it! "All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed, second it is violently opposed, and third, it is accepted as self-evident." - Arthur Schopenhauer

I love that this series, including "Bread and Wine:Readings for Lent and Easter," because it challeneges our complacent culture-dictated experience of Advent and Easter. This is not a feel-good book, it is a faith-building book. Be prepared to be shaken up and for God to meet you in a new way.

I bought copies for my friends and family. Everyone loved it!

The diversity of authors come together in surprising unity. This broadened my perspective and made me want to find books written by the individual authors. I also loved that the authors are from all points in history and geography. An experience like this is what all of us in the US need.

I found this to answer many of my own questions!

Despite attacks and slants against his works L.Ron Hubbard still remains one of the best selling authors of the century. One must ask why, well contained in this book are all the top secret answers. If you had questions about the religion or the author then read this book. Many people will say its a PR book to blur peoples vision. If that was the case turn to the chapter that gives you allthe details about the IRS investigations on the church. Try the pages that give you copies of all the declarations to the church, or thew question and answer pages. Don't believe anyone until you look for yourself

The book 'What is Scientology' is a very comprehensive and thorough text on the subject of the Scientology Religion. I found it to be the finest text on the subject matter, and very enlightening. Anyone reading this text will find it will answer truthfully any questions you may have on the subject matter. It is definitely a reliable source of information on the subject of Scientology. Hubbard was truly an amazing man to have founded such a compeling movement. My hat is off to those who compiled such a fine reference.

I give a 7 because it's well written and the layout is superb. However, the photos of various E-Meter drills and Scientology sessions look VERY formal and almost military in nature - with some even wearing Navy-like uniforms. Also, very few photos of non-white persons. The info about Scientology is very interesting yet no mention is made of any 'teacher' other than L. Ron Hubbard, and he is presented in an almost God-like manner. Scientology doens't seem to support the teachings of anyone other than L. Ron Hubbard, whereas Chopra, Tracy, Robbins, etc all read and support each other's teachings. I also found it perplexing that while L. Ron Hubbard is very highly praised by Scientologists, I could not find a single mention in the book about any Hubbard family members that are involved and carrying on his lagacy. I found no mention of Hubbard children or widows who are currently in Scientology. Scientology and Dianetics might be for some people, but definitly not for everyone. Search CNN.com and other news sources if you're seriously interested. And by the way, if you have money you'll be very welcome because Dianetics & Scientology cost $$$! Their own literature says it's similar in cost (and time) to going to college for several years.

The book is excellent. The only problem is that there was a malfunction in the ordering process. I wanted instant click and apparently instead of turning that on, the book was ordered by regular process AND a shipping charge placed on it. Thinking that the order process had failed I went back to the site and once again tried the instant click. That time it worked but then shortly afterwards I was advised that two books were ordered. I contacted Amazon and was told it was too late to cancel either order - that they were two seperate shipments but they would deduct the shipping charge. The books arrived in about a week - sealed and packed TOGETHER in the same parcel. Now I have to find someone else to gift the book to as opposed to trying to figure out a no-cost way to return it to Amazon.

According to Art Linkletter, kids say the darnedest things. They also say things that are touching, heart-warming, wise, innocent, and wonderfully spiritual. This charming collection of stories will appeal to any parent, grandparent, teacher, caregiver, or any student of innocence and insight.
These stories remind us that children arrive in this world trailing clouds of glory. We can learn so much from their vision of life. These tales are alternately funny, touching, and enlightening. Highly recommended!

Little ones whispering in God's ear are powerful and always heard. This compilation of true prayer stories keeps me reading, not wanting to put it away, and then longing to find a chance to read it again. Often I smile, frequently show a tear. Many times the stories remind me of someone and someplace where God answered my personal prayer and I failed to recognize it appropriately, failed to thank God for His answer. I have found this book one I treasure as the stories encourage me to pray childlike prayers and to eagerly wait for the answer.

A must have on your book shelf!

In the introduction to his book, Wayne Holmes writes: "My prayer is that you will once again see the world through eyes of hope, love, and wonder." And, that's exactly what this book will do for you. I was especially touched by Patty Stump's story, "Words Worth Remembering." As TJ learned that unanswered prayers can be hurtful and disappointing, he also learned that even when things don't work out the way we'd hoped, we can trust that God has our best interest at heart. And, we can always trust in Him and His Word.
Story after story offers these all-important life lessons. I love this book so much. It touched my heart and challenged me to examine my own prayer life. This is a must read! I commend Wayne for compiling such a wonderful collection of stories. This is very well done!!!

Wayne Holmes has done it again! "Whispering in God's Ear" shouts loud and clear about God's love and purposes for His children of all ages. Prayer is integral to our Christian faith, and answered prayer is an outflowing of that faith. Wayne has carefully woven the various elements together into a quilt of words that embraces the reader. Using heartfelt anecdotes, each story reminds us that we serve a living and loving Father Who truly cares for and about His children.

Included in this collection are stories that will make you laugh, will bring tears to your eyes, and will even cause you to shout an "Amen!" or two. Stories of victory through the darkest night abound, bringing the reader closer to the source of victory.

Many noted writers are included in this compilation, as well as many first-timers. The quality of the writing is exceptional, and the selection of stories causes the entire volume to flow together as a single unit.

"Whispering in God's Ear" is a must-read for the seeker, for those in the desert times, and for those who are ministering in any capacity. Child-like faith is the theme, and readers will see themselves in at least one of the stories, and most likely in many.

Experiencing vs. Teaching

There are a host of instructional books on prayer, but these true stories of children praying are refreshing! Whispering in God's Ear takes the reader to the heart of prayer, and as the adage states, "I'd rather see a sermon that hear one any day."
Divided into eleven types of prayer, each section begins with children's actual prayers. Then Wayne invites the reader to allow God into each particular area. For example in the Children Asking introduction, he stimulates the reader's thoughts with, "somewhere between childhood and adulthood, many people have lost the art of asking." Christine, in Potato Chip Prayers, demonstrates this art. She "assumed that anything that was important to her, no matter how small, was important to her loving heavenly Father."
Prayer can become rote or restricted to technique, but these stories are an encouraging push to place our desires and cares into God's waiting arms.

I actually tested this and it works. The book is very easy to read and follow. I tested one wish and it's amazing how the Universe responded to my wish by giving me signs of synchronicities. I really believe we must not ignore those omens if they keep occurring. LIfe wants us to achieve our dreams and wishes and if we really want something, the universe will respond and give it more power if it's made of love, appreciation and gratitude. I am grateful that I found this book. :)

A must read

I have been teaching creative expression and manifestation classes and this book really brings the concepts to reality. Most Kabbalah books are hard to understand and complicated. This one is not! The book is a magical journey and should not be done alone. The miracles are so profound you will want someone doing it with you to share your discoveries. The story telling is wonderful and the activities are clear and insightful. I have read this book 5 times or more and I see something new each time. I was so inspired, started teaching workshops around this topic just to say in community and keep the energy going around wishes and dreams fulfilled. Get a copy for yourself and get a copy for a friend, you will love this book.

As an expert on creativity, I am very excited about this book as it easily guides parents into nurturing parenting by teaching them to honor the individuality of each child and encourage unique self-expression. By fortifying a child's self-esteem and acknowledging their natural gifts and abilities, parents can have a powerful impact on this next generation of "litle souls" ensuring that they become who they are truly meant to be.

This book caught me by surprise, with the warmth that infuses its writing, the penetrating insightfulness of its principles, and the ability to integrate its ideas into the everydayness of life. It elevated my focus from the intensity of life's details to touch base with matters of the heart. I began to reflect with renewed clarity on the sense of family and values that I impart daily to my children ages 5 and 7. While other books out there have tried to copy this message, this book clearly has become the classic in its field. What a tremendous service to us moms!

Children's Spiritual Development - Creating a Better World

Giving children the best possible start in life includes fostering their spiritual development. In our fast paced, result-driven world, our emotional and spiritual needs can be overlooked. The principles highlighted in this book give invaluable guidance for parents wishing to assist their children in developing values and coping skills that will take them through the challenges of life.

As a therapist, I am happy to recommend this book to my clients who are parents. The best legacy we can leave to our children is a world that is gentler and more compassionate. The only route is through individual accountability - this book is an instrument to that end.

Unlike many other 'parenting books' (full of psychological recipies which make you feel bad if you don't follow their particular recommendations, each one of course holding the absolute and only truth), this one is simply wonderful, refreshing, full of practical tips and freely inspiring. I was a bit skeptical when I read in a previous review that it could also be a spiritual book even without being a parent, but yes, it is definitely full of ideas to develop spirituality into one's life, being or not a parent. I'm sixth month pregnant, finishing the book, and now I feel completely reassured about the parenting adventure which awaits me. Thank you!
