Providence is depth. Everything within the system is incredably detailed and Clif-Spider is a book to see. History, maps, groups, organizations, politics, power structure, military, everything! All in one book, presented in an absolutely gorgeous format. The writing crew (Danny Budge, Chris Charet, Alex Leonard with Michael Scott) have written a cohesive, documented fantasy city. If you play Providence, or even are just looking for an excellent city setting, PICK THIS UP. It will amaze you!

This is an excellent source book for Providence. It gives a great overview of the city and and the important people who run it. The book includes maps of the different areas of the city. From the dismal under-city of Kasm, where the fallen live, to the beautiful platfroms that make up Haven, the home of the upper castes. It also includes the stats for the major non-player characters of the world and how they act and react to each other and a brief history of each.

This book is a must for any adventure in the city and as an excellent reference.

Talking about the birds and the bees....

Did you ever wonder about the flora and fauna of a fantasy world. The book from Xid Creative about the ecology of the world of Providence is excellent. "The Ecology" has an unique way of presenting the flora and fauna of Providence. The first section of the book is a story about a traveler through the wilds of the world and the back section has all the appropiate stats for the plants and animals seen. This format is both different and interesting as it gives the reader an understanding of the interaction of the world while still giving the important info needed to give the game extra flavor.

I recomend that this book be read by any gamemasters who wish to run adventures in the Deep and any player whose character is a Horizon Strider.

Wow! The Kestrels are, in my opinion, the best group in the world of Providence. Reading this book increased that love. It's full of background, spells, fighting styles, great artwork, and really gives you a feeling of "becoming fire."

A clever role playing game

"Psychosis: Ship of Fools" was a lesser-known offering by now-defunct Chameleon Eclectic. CE had developed "Millennium's End," an excellent Y2K RPG, and "The Babylon Project," a role playing game based on the sci-fi series "Babylon 5."

CE was known for their gritty, realistic game backgrounds, and they put this experience to good use in Psychosis.

"Psychosis is a unique roleplaying game in which nothing -- not your name, your memories, or even reality itself -- can be trusted. Ship of Fools contains the complete game system and an entire six to eight session campaign for four to seven players."

The game system is diceless, and makes clever use of a Tarot deck, which also reinforces the mysterious atmosphere.

A well-paced, well-balanced module that is easily to plug into the Ptolus setting. Composed of several related parts which are easy to run sequentially, pick and choose, or scatter among other quests. Touches on all of the cool, unique aspects of the setting and introduces the players to many of the people, institutions, and places in the city. Highly recommended for anyone with the Ptolus setting.

This book is a story but more than that. It has puzzles on each page. In fact it has so manay different puzzles you can read it several times over and learn new things while you solve the puzzles. Each page has a puzzle or a maze or a question to answer or something to find. In addition there are lost items to find, and so on. It is a great book and lots of fun.

This guide was just a perfect tool to beat Quake II for me. It reminds me so much of the Doom II Guide by Prima ; a lot of helpful strategy with a sense of Marine humor. I probably wouldn't have beaten the game without it. The add-on disk was awesome!

Very fun Game

I played this game at a gaming convention about a year ago. It was alot of fun. It's a D10 based game and pretty easy to learn. Very easy for a beginning gamer but not too easy for an advanced player either. It had a really nice and entertaining setting. I think that most people who don't just dabble in the rpg gaming world would enjoy this game. The author Joesph Gibbons was our DM, and he was very open and friendly and the concepts that he created for the game were very easy to follow. It's not D&D or white wolf, but it definitely has real potential to be a very awesome table top game.
