I read his books as a teen and loved them. Bought the whole set for my grandsons, [teens]. They laughed until they cried. [so did I].

If you like animals you will enjoy all James Herriot's books. This is one of a series of delightful books. Reading one will make you want to read the next one. I can read them over and over.

I have the complete series of All Creatures Great and Small books now. This was the last one and I loved it as much as I loved the others. He was a fantastic writer and having been born and raised on a farm I can appreciate a lot of what he talks about. I also have his cat and dog stories books and loved them just as much.

The books arrived so quickly that I got to take my time
wrapping the books.

The third book in the series and you know exactly what to expect. Yes, folks, it is every bit as entertaining as the first two, and that's probably all you need to know. But I'll go ahead and mention that he spends some time in the RAF during World War II, which we knew he would as the second book ended. I'll also mention that he and Helen have a baby, which you probably expected. One of the great joys of his writing is discovery, so I'd hate to screw that up with a spoiler, but these two tidbits are on the back cover anyway. Oh, and halfway through it, I predicted an ending in advance, and I only had to read 1000 pages by this guy before that happened. It's still great, great stuff, and you know you'll love it.

Maya Angelou's poetry is so phenomenal. And the power of her voice reading her own words, is really moving.

This audiobook arrived in about a week and was in the condition advertised. Overall, I was satisfied with the transaction and would purchase from this seller again.

...Invictus is by William E. Henley......I do not like much poetry.....but 'Still I Rise', is one of the most moving and powerful pieces of literature of our day. You can feel the rumblings of motivation rising within you as you read it---it summons the power of our ancestors as you read it... YOU FEEL this poem with all your heart--or I fear you have no heart and you remember that feeling for years after you have read it!
It is a magnificent poem that the author not only wrote, but earned through her own life.
This book would make excellent Christmas gifts of inspiration.

This book is filled with wonderful, powerful poetry that really awakened me to the troubles of African Americans in that time of history. Diego Rivera's paintings in the book are staggering and breathtaking. This is a must-see for any ameteur or lover of poetry.

A picture of Jesus Christ from the Akashek records; his entire life, temptations (of man) he had to overcome, through his crucifixion. A picture of the world through time for better understanding of purpose of life.

A valuable piece for the theosophy student and young people to grasp the modern version of our Lord.

I have been reading the Aquarian Gospel of Jesus Christ for many years now, and use it my personal spiritual Bible. What is written rings true to me and I refer to it whenever i am seeking 'religious' information about such topics as Faith, Trust, Love or Power, for example.

I believe it was channeled by Levi, the transcriber, as he is called by his children, and was only published them after his death.

The Introduction of the book is worth reading. Here is the first paragraph: "The full title of this book is The Aquarian Age Gospel of Jesus, the Christ of the Piscean Age, and the critical reader is apt to ask a number of pertinent questions concerning it. Among the many anticipated questions these are perhaps the most important: What is an Age? What is the Piscean Age? What is the Aquarian Age? What is meant by the Christ as the word is used in this book? What relationship existed between Jesus of Nazareth and the Christ? Who is Levi, the transcriber of this book? What are the Akashic Records?" These are answered in the Introduction.

This is a metaphysical, or esoteric Bible for those interested in studying what is now called the Ancient Wisdom. As a spiritual teacher, I strongly recommend it.

I also particularly love this book for its Subject Index.

The Aquarian Gospel is based on the author's ability to "read" the vibrational imprints --akashic records -- of events surrounding Jesus' life, as well as His life and teachings themselves, from the birth of His mother, Mary, to the words of Peter spoken on the day of Pentecost. Many are skeptical of such a work, based as it is on inner revelations of the vibrational records in the realms of spirit, but the words of Jesus and the events recorded by Levi have never been successfully disproven, and are consistent with much that has been brought to light about Jesus and his teachings in recent decades.
For example, the lost gospel of Thomas, discovered in 1945 in Egypt, contains roughly 150 of his sayings, which fit in with his teachings in the Aquarian Gospel, as do his comprehensive discourses on a wide variety of subjects in Glenda Green's book, Love Without End, and in Mary Ann Johnston's book, Messages from Jesus -- A Dialogue of Love. In the latter work, published in 2004, the author asks questions of Jesus, whom she has been able to see and talk with since childhood, and his answers, filled with the power of love, expand your awareness and draw you closer to God. In the other book, Glenda Green was enabled to see and converse with Jesus by means of a beam of energy projected to the point between her eyebrows. This took place in November 1991. If you read either of these two books, you are struck with the sincerity of the authors and the feeling that what Jesus is saying is truth. As for the Aquarian Gospel and the Gospel of Thomas, the narrative in the former and Jesus' words in both are beautiful, inspiring, and, in my opinion, as worthy of acceptance as the four canonical gospels. I have read and studied each of the books mentioned in this review and recommend them to all who seek a more complete understanding of Jesus' teachings.

The Aquarian Gospel is a book that I have read around three times, because many of the nuances of this book (particularly the metaphysical riddles) require second reading. This book is a MUST READ for those who plan to watch the movie based upon this book that is presently under production by William Sees Keenan and Drew Heriot. The Aquarian Gospel primarily tries to fill in the gaps and explain the "missing years" of Jesus that have been dismissed rather casually in the Bible by simply stating "And the boy grew in wisdom and stature." How much you eventually like this book will depend upon your objective. If the objective is to read a mystery novel, The Aquarian Gospel will disappoint (you will probably enjoy The Rozabal Line much more as a fast-paced thriller covering the Jesus in India story). If the aim is to read about the "Jesus in India" theory itself, again there are better books out there such as Jesus Lived in India: His Unknown Life Before and After the Crucifixion or The Unknown Life of Jesus: The Original Text of Nicolas Notovich's 1887 Discovery If, however, the aim is to understand the influences of the Eastern traditions upon the spirituality and teachings of Jesus, then this is an ideal read. Throughout the 1960's, The Aquarian Gospel was a big hit with the hippie movement. To that extent, this book acquired a "negative" and "anti-establishment" connotation. However, with today's significantly more liberal attitude towards questioning the origins of Christianity, this book needs to be looked at in a new positive light.

This book gives a detailed overview on what to expect once you get the butter bars pinned on you. It delves into a considerable amount of detail into topics such as army customs to obey, UCMJ laws that you should already know (but can't hurt to refresh upon) and other topics. If you are currently in OCS or are thinking about becoming an officer there is also a guide to the different branch opportunities that are available to Army officers such as aviation, infantry, intel, ect. Overall a great book that is definitely written and geared for current or aspiring officers.

Every Army officer whould have a copy of this book, both as a reference and as a guide to many aspects of Army life. Its never been superceded except by new editions because it is the definitive guide.

I'm currently serving as a Captain in the Air Force with Space Command. There's a possibility I might transfer to the Army through Blue to Green. Since I wouldn't be attending any type of OCS, I have to learn as much as I can on my own. This book has described all the branches, career paths, promotions, etc. It's been an invaluable tool and helped me make my decision an where to go in the Army - Military Police Corps.

This reference will tell you everything you need to know and more about being an Army officer.

I read this before Basic, and it made my life a lot easier. It's full of "somebody should have told me" information. I bought an older version than is currently available, which doesn't have the ACUs or beret, but much of the information is a hundred years old and still relevant.

I gave this to my son who is the father of a preemie. He said it was so good that he was going to loan it to me to read also. My son is a Ph.D. candidate and has a lot of reading to do, so any additional book has to be really good.

This is a wonderful book. The author not only delves into the lives of twelve families affected, but also about the history of neonatology itself. You find yourself pulling for each of these tiny infants as well as their caretakers.

this book is great! it follows the real life happenings of a nicu in california. it follows the cases of several families, through their ups adn downs, and everything in between. there are babies that recover fine, some that recover with problems, adn some do die. it also talks about things from the doctors and nurses perspectives, and gives some history of neonatology. a great book for preemie parents, non preemie parents (i am not, and just loved this book), doctors, nurses, etc. very good read.

I found this book after seeing it mentioned on Oprah. Wow. What an amazingly touching and fascinating look at the brave new world of having babies. She just has a way of finding the books that are full of heart.

This book was the most impressive book I have ever read! It inspired me to go into Neonatology! I adore this book and recommend it to any one interested in medicine!

I love this devotional / Bible Study! WOW! I have done many studies, but this is my favorite! What a practical way to become the woman God wants you to be and the woman you have always wanted to be but didn't know how..... The tips Donna give are wonderful and very practical. Easy to apply! I highly recommend this book to all Women of God!

WOW! This was just what I was needing to make a change in my life. Donna definately is there step to step to help us make postive changes if we are willing. I am only on day 14 but have already had others notice the change in me.

This book will change your life if you read it with an open heart and are committed to being a woman after God's own heart. Donna is truly a servant of Christ and has a lot of valuable insight to assist women in not only multitasking the needs of family, but also to build yourself up with confidence, strength and dignity.

Just finished this book. The Proverbs 31 woman seemed like the unicorn until I read this book. I felt encouraged, even on the days I had my biggest struggles. Finally someone has come along and encouraged woman to cut a window in their world and share their home, life and spiritual gifts. Donna Partow writes like she is your bestfriend, just speaking truth in love. I feel like I can do community with out hiding in fear and shame.

I highly recommend this book to the woman who thought she could never be a Proverbs 31 woman. Yes you can and Donna Partow tells you how.

I ordered this edition of the collected poems of Robert Service to read ont0 tape, his poems for our grandson and grandaughters. I received a handsome, easy to read edition that was more beautifully edited and presented than I had expected. I may keep this and obtain another for them. Thank you.

I was actually very disappointed with the condition of this book when I received it. It had been packed in an envelope that was close to being too small, and the jacket was torn in several places. I purchased this book among others, as a 45 year anniversary gift to my wife. Robert Service had been a particular favorite of her father, and I knew she would treasure the book. I will just have to tell her that I meant well, but it didn't turn out so well.

I am very happy with this book. It combines a lot of Service's greatest poems with great Photos of the land and people he wrote about. It is a lovely book that you can be proud to have in your collection.

I love Robert Service's raw tones and poems. He tells them with a grit that is true to heart and really just gives you a feel for what is going on and what it was like to be in the real wilderness days. I have heard he described as crude and if that's how you want to view it...go ahead but these poems aren't crude...they tell the true spirit of the classic days with great detail and life.

I first stumbled upon Robert W. Service when I found a small volume of his poetry from before and during World War One in an antique shop in Maine. I hungered for more, searched the internet, and was thrilled to find this book available, as well as others. Service's poetry is what poetry should be, at least in my mind. It flows evenly, it rhymes, it tells stories about human beings' lives, feelings, and struggles. Plus, he deals with people, places, and times in history that interest me, especially World War One, northern North America, Europe, etc. This is an excellent, excellent collection of his works.

The book is very comprehensive. Unfortunately, even though it claims to be a field guide, it is too heavy to carry around. It is not a book to take with you on a bird walk.

An outstanding and essential book to help you identify the many magnificent birds inhabiting the savannah when on safari in Kenya. In fact, this is the book our certified guide and driver, a Masai, used daily and kept next to him at all times! LLC

This book is one of the best field guides I have ever had on African birds. It is extremely detailed and has pictures of so many birds, it is just AMAZING.

I simply had to acquire this one when I saw it in a bookshop in Nairobi. I had another field guide, but wasn't happy with it. Great illustrations. It is now my faviourite souvenir from Kenya. Its only fault is its weight, but I carry it in a shoulder bag. The book also has usefulness outside the target zone: Several birds seen in Cameron are illustrated in it. I always like to compare illustrations and was glad to have it with me when in Yaounde. A book to make others jealous by. You can set it on the coffe table as a conversation piece or to get the children interested without coaxing them.

Wow. What can I say but this book should be in everyone's home library. I can not believe how much I learned about a subject I am not comfortable talking adout! Or should I say used to not be comfortable. I bought one for all my girlfriends and my aunt who is in treatment for breast cancer. She took it to all her chemo and radiation treatments to share with her fellow patients. Again, WOW!! Buy it!

Over the course of many months my book club's conversation kept coming back to boobs...things like bra-fitting and breastfeeding and family members struggling with breast cancer. So we decided to read this book. It was great fun! Some read it cover to cover while others dipped in here and there to the parts that most interested them; the book covers many subjects and is written with humor and wit. It's one of those books that belongs on any mom's shelf, not only so she can refer to it but so tweens and teens can go to it for that information that is sometimes too awkward to bring up over dinner (like how, when I was a teen, I referred to that great 70s book Our Bodies, Our Selves). This is the Boob Book that you want lying around for when you or your kids have a health or body image question about boobs. Informative and uplifting!

This is an entertaining, informative, and essential book for everyone with or without BOOBS. Elisabeth uses humor and practicality in addressing a subject matter that is Taboo and Inanimate to many. Read it. Laugh. Stop staring.....Get a clue about Boobs...

How refreshing that Elizabeth Squires speaks openly and honestly and humorously about bOObs! This is the ultimate guide and will hopefully change the tone of discourse about a body part that affects women throughout their lifetime and on so many levels. Thank you Elizabeth!!

This book has excellent information for anyone who is just diagnosed with asthma. If you have been living with asthma for awhile and have been active in the management of your asthma, you may find that there is very little "new" information contained in the book. You will find that the book contains a good description of the various treatments that may be prescribed by your doctor. Be that as it may, the book continues to be a good resource for anyone with asthma.

After a diagnosis of COPD and/or asthma, I did what I always do. I set out to learn as much as possible. This is a wonderful, comprehensive and hopeful book. I have checked much of the info with my pulmonary MD and he too was most impressed and is suggesting it to patients. It is written in understandable terms, with a fine resources section. I learned a lot, and felt a bit more in control of this disease. Because if you give in, it will "git ya". Well done!

Couldn't breathe. Bought this book. Showed my doctor who changed all my medications. That was six months ago. TODAY? I BREATHE so well that I'm training for the NY marathon. It's hard for me to believe that getting the RIGHT medication can be crucial for allergy and asthma. But I'm a believer.

I have had allergies since birth--and never have felt good until I did the things written in this book. An excellent book on why allergies happen and what you can do--today--to stop them. I took the book to my doctor and she changed my medication to include steroid nasal inhalers. This helped me go through two pollen seasons without missing any work. SUPERB!!

I have sinusitis and asthma, and my children have the same. We have suffered for too many years according to this book. It enlightened me to learn that my sinus drainage actually triggers asthma--thus, I have learned to stay on top of sinus infections and post nasal drip--to END ASTHMA. It works. Dr. Smolley is brilliant. The book is a must read for any parent or person with allergies, asthma, sinusitis or other lung disease. Read it--and do what he says--it will change your life the way it has ours.
