I highly suggest this mini book for anyone seeking a brief, to-the-point summary or introduction to one or more chemistry topics. This mini manual provides a "big picture" viewpoint and highlights applications of chemistry. For example, in two pages the sum of which is smaller than an 8.5 x 11 in sheet of paper, it covers bonding: valence electrons, ionic bonding, ionic lattices, ionic equations, covalent bonding, metallic bonding, and giant molecular lattices, plus provides a table on how to tell ionic compounds from covalent compounds. As another example, electrochemistry is also covered in 2 pages, focusing on electrolytic cells, the electrolysis of copper (II) chloride, electrolysis of aqueous solutions, and industrial uses of electrolysis. And if you want to know how electrochemistry ties to bonding, check the footnotes and page numbers shown there.

An easy read for either students or professionals who need to know more about chemistry lingo and applications.

This is a very educational book. It has a lot of information on what the future will be like and what there will be in houses, on roads, and other transportational ways.It shows new advances in cars and communication. It is a color book with good pictures. This is a good book for kids or adults iterested in the future.

I got it as my 9-years birthday gift. I donated to my school library. One cannot build a real robot based on this book alone. It teaches different ways to do robot expirements.

The Kingfisher Geography Encyclopedia is concisely presented geographical facts with pictures, including a general map of each of the countries in the world. It is a great geographical reference tool, especially for grade school and maybe middle school.

I really liked this mystery - I hope there will be more. My two best friends and I solved this in just a couple of hours because we couldn't put it down! I really liked the quality of the printed clues too.
