Although this is a lot different from what a typical "scientific mind" is ready to adhere to, Christel Nani convincingly tells her story.

This book is a WOW! I picked it up because I love reading about medicine, but I quickly found out this book goes way beyond that! It is a fascinating read about medicine, but in a different way! It's a really great introduction to the intriguing world of energy medicine and the mind-body connection. It is Christel's own story about growing into her amazing gift as a medical intuitive and has alot of great medical stories, but it has alot of information for the reader to take away and apply to their own life - positive changes in your beliefs will affect your health and your life in a positive way.

You will love this book if you are open to alternative therapies and realize that there is a whole other side to health, more than just traditional medicine. It is an excellent read - really accessible, and I have recommended it to so many people!

I too work in the medical profession in hospitals & learned about this book from one of my fellow coworkers. This book was a very good book & I really enjoyed Christel's case studies. I gave it 4.5 stars as I was hoping for more information on how to make changes in my life. This book is more a story of Christel's personal journey on becoming a medical intuitive.

After reading this book I wanted to read more of Christel Nani's book, so I got Guidance 24/7. That book focus' on how you can make changes in your life. I would highly recommend that you read Diary of a Medical Intuitive first, then read Guidance 24/7 on how to change your life. I can't wait to read Christel's newest book now.

I have read several of Caroline Myss' books & listened to her CD's. But Christel with her medical background has a very simple way of explaining things.

When I first started reading this book I was amazed at the many similarities with my life's path.
Christel Nani relates her journey in a way that resonated with mine. Her book is easy to understand.
She lays the foundation for a simply devine way to tap into our past so that we can take a good look at what is
keeping us from following not just our talents but our deserving bliss. It all makes sense that if we are so uneasy
in doing and being what we do and who we have become that we can create our dis-ease. Having seen her in person confirmed how talented she is in "knowing" what ails us. She is all-inspiring.

It's amazing that I found this book just at a time in my life where I was really questioning my connection to God. When I found this book it was so interesting and I could relate to so much of it that I couldn't put it down and I finished it in less than a weekend. Before I read this, my spiritual life seemed to suffer because I often questioned if God really loves me and cares about me. I felt very lonely, alone, and unheard. Christel explains why people feel this way and that there are ways we can treat this sort of "spiritual depression." Believe me, I have read a LOT of books by psychics, empaths, spiritual healing, Reiki, etc. A lot of stuff out there is recycled from previous authors. However, Christel's book is unique, no-nonsense, and to the point while still being very compassionate. I KNOW this is a God-send. This book has helped to give me hope and left me wanting to learn more about her healing techniques that I can practice on myself! In fact, talk about synchronicity: just as I finished reading her book, I found out she is doing a workshop next weekend less than an hour away from my home in California and this is a rare event! This is so meant to be and I am lucky to have found Christel's work.

Whether your are an entrepreneur, VC or lawyer, THIS is the book that you must read. It's really everything that you need to navigate the entire startup ecosystem. I've been in the industry for over a decade and I still use it as a reference and encourage both entrepreneurs and lawyers to read alike. I also think it's a great resource for VCs sitting on boards to make sure they are complying with all the latest and greatest regulations.

Includes all important areas of law for the entrepreneur. Was most helpful for our incorporation. Good, short, to-the-point, comparisons of S-corp, C-corp, LLC, partnership, and sole proprietorship. Still covered all issues and is updated to late 2007. This is important because the tax-code changes frequently (last major update was in 2003), and small changes to corporate structure and court pratices happen every year. Better than "Structuring Venture Capital, Private Equity, and Entrepreneurial Transactions." Better than "Starting Your Own Business" by Stephen C. Harper. Better than searching for piecemeal information on websites like news.YCombinator.

Other important areas covered are Contracts & Lease, Operational Liability, and Intellectual Property. I will be using this book heavily for those areas as well.

A book that every entrepreneur should read. Read it before you start the company, it will help you a lot.

This book goes into great detail about all aspects of Business Law. Anyone who currently owns a business or is thinking about opening a business needs to read this book, or at least have it near by as a reference guide.

However, the book is certainly aimed at Corporate USA and those who are looking to start up a BIG business. If you are looking to open or currently own a Small Business, then there are better books on the market that are tailored more to your needs.

This book deserves to be on the shelf of every entrepreneur. The Entrepreneur's Guide to Business Law will take you on a virtual tour of the start-up process, and beyond, from the legal perspective. As experienced entrepreneurs understand, any business is a web of relationships, many of which are detailed in legal documents. This is the case for the relationship (establishment) of the entity with the state, relationships between co-founders, relationships between employees and the company, relationship between the company and its investors, suppliers, customers, etc. The legal foundation for all of these is clearly explained, and this book includes a wealth of practical information that will help any entrepreneur to work more efficiently and effectively with their legal counsel.

I was hooked right away reading John's descriptions of boys who were so similar to our son. I was so encouraged that someone could see our problems and provide a reasonable plan to help us reconnect.

John identifies 6 ways that we parents repel our sons - Reacting, Micromanaging, Lecturing, Moralizing, Reiterating and Threatening - and then outlines what to do instead.

He provides a couple of invaluable tools: 1. Speaking to your son in a 90 second window, and 2. Using shoulder-to-shoulder communication. Both of these tools maintain connection and avoid your son's withdrawal.

John says at the end of every chapter, "And then the chase is on." It's chokes me up each time I read it and realize that all of the time, effort and resources spent are all worth it for the sake of my son.

Miraculously John Davis came into our lives during our son's and our family's power struggles in high school.

I saw Victoria speak at Vegetarian Summerfest 2007. I knew I needed to get one of her books. This was a quick read with tons of useful information. You can tell Victoria has professional and personal experience with being fat, broke and lonely. I recommend this to all my clients.

I originally bought this book for a friend as a joke because she was, as the title describes, fat, broke, and lonely. But since her birthday was 2 weeks away I thought I would "browse" through it. Well, I ended up reading it, and loving it. Then went out and bought myself another one of Victoria's books, Younger By The Day. It is equally inspiring. I highly recommend her work!

Get ready to make a positive change in your life when you read this practical book. I was moved by Victoria's witty observations of life and her findings about what makes us fat, broke and lonely. No, it's not the food we eat, although that is important for good health. It's not willpower, although you can use what little you have of that commodity to make small changes each day. It's not having tons of money, although money can be used to appreciate who you are right now. It's the attitude we have about our life and our body that either makes or breaks us. Comparing ourselves to others and trying to measure up usually serves to make us aware that we are inferior or short of our ideal; and that only makes us feel worse.

Victoria Moran has done it again with this book - fantastic, wise and funny advice that actually works and is very doable. Anyone who has trouble with her bank account, love affairs, or food relationship MUST read this book and keep it by her bedside. I have been a fan of Victoria's since I read her Love Powered Diet, which I am happy to learn is being reissued. It too is a compassionate, well written book. Victoria is an amazing writer. Many self help books are written in the same way, with the same tone - but Victoria is a wordsmith so everything she puts on paper is fun to read. Thank you!

Victoria Moran certainly has a way with her writing style, injecting humor and an understanding of her subject matter into the book. However, there wasn't much 'new' information in her book.

I did like how she presented the information in her book so it was a good read, but as far as picking up any new insights, well, there really weren't any.

the second book in the fingerprints series starts with ray finding out someone wants to kill her. it goes from there to ms. A announcing that jesse ran away. when anthony says "thats impossible" the two go investigating. they look everywhere and check everyones fingerprints. Rae even makes Yana join she and Anthony to New Orleans to find jesse's father. after being teased and abused about looking young and going to prep school rae takes her friends back home.
they ask people around jesse's normal hang out. all of which have their own very convincing thoughts on where jesse is. they are all telling the truth rae finds out, according to their fingerprints. Rae and Anthony find someone deathly afraid that if he says something, he'll be in trouble. by touching his fingerprints they are lead to a house, where they find the man they are looking for has been gone. For a really long time. When they go back to the car they find a knife waiting in the seat. Jesse's knife. Rae finds thoughts leading them to an abandoned warehouse. but they dont know WHICH abandonded warehouse. they search for any unusual activity, and in all theyre hard work find a meth lab. So basically, all of their work was to no avail. one day, sick of waiting for someone to arrive anthony enters...making a lot of noise and breaking a window. worried about him, rae enters as well, using her little "power" to get in. the 2 find eachother, and, with out managing to kill eachother they find the warehouse is empty. but wait, whats that noise? the follow the noise and find jesse. they ask him for info, then, being as he doesnt remember, rae checks out his fingerprints. and gets a whole lot of nothing. oh, and did i mention that someone is trying to kill rae?

Melinda Metz takes Haunted to a new level with its suspense thriller. It's about a girl that gets framed and is sent to the nuthouse and later is released to go back to a prep school. She has a gift to read minds with a touch of her fingertips. The book gives good detail and drama. It tells a story about a girl trying to become normal again. I liked the book because it gives details, suspense, and you cant put it down till you finish it.

Rae Voight is just barely starting to come to terms with her new powers - the powers that let her "hear" other people's thoughts when she touches her fingerprints to theirs. Rae is still a little weirded out over the whole thing and hasn't even told Yana, the only girlfriend she has left whom she met in Fair Haven, while she was recovering from her mental breakdown the previous summer. Of course, Anthony knows because he was the one who figured it out, but Rae knows that most people will think she is a freak. She tries to forget that there is someone out there who wants her dead, but it never seems to be far from her mind.

Anthony comes to Rae for help when he finds out that Jesse, one of the kids he met in group who is like a brother to him, is missing. Anthony knows that he wouldn't have run away, but he has no idea where to look for him. Rae agrees to try and "read" the fingerprints at Jesse's house and before she knows it, Anthony, Rae and Yana are off on a madcap adventure to New Orleans to try and find Jesse's dad. Too bad that the whole trip was a bust because Jesse's dad hasn't seen him for years and years. Whats even worse is that Rae discovers that Jesse was only kidnapped to hurt her. Someone is playing games with her and the prize is Jesse's life...

This is the second book in the Fingerprints series and it starts almost right after the first one ends. It was interesting to see Rae start to see her powers as a gift instead of a curse and to see how she would choose to use them. We also got to see more of Anthony and what a great guy he is, even if he is a slow learner and is always beating up on himself. All of the characters in this series are great and the reader will feel like they know them when they are done reading. I highly recommend reading the first book in the series, Fingerprints: Gifted Touch, first though. Also, this book has another cliffhanger ending with the reader still being clueless as to who wants Rae dead and why so I would have the next book in the series handy...

Although the series is for readers aged 9 to 12, it's an interesting enough concept to keep older readers entertained.

The second book in Metz's series explores how Rae's gift can be used to her advantage (to aid others) and some methods in which she can control when to use her gift. Rae puts her gift to the test when she must use it to find Jesse (a boy from group therapy who "ran away"). Jesse's disappearance coincides with Rae being stalked. In this book, the reader gets to know Anthony, Rae, Yana, and Marcus a little better. For those of you who read the first book, a romantic relationship between Rae and Anthony doesn't develop until later in the series, much to my dismay ^_~ After finishing this book, be prepared to read the next and the next! It's addicting!

If you haven't read the first book, I would definetly suggest doing so if you want to understand this book a little better.

You will not believe how good this book is. Once you start to read it, you might stay up all night until you are done. I don't want to give away too much about the book, so I'll just say this: The author really has a way with words that make you fell like you experience what the character experiences. It is amazing. I'm surprised these wonderful books aren't more well known, and I am sure you won't regret making your purchase. If you are the type of person that likes a book that keeps you waiting for the next big event in the plot to unfold and gradually reveals (the book, not you) the answers to the questions you have had and continues to do so as the series goes on, I completely reccomend that you check this book out.

My 11 year old son is crazy about this book! He has taken French and Spanish at school with little retention. Curiously, he requested to learn Latin. After much curriculum research, I found Mr. Linney's book and website. Since we received this very affordable book with free audio support via his website, we are all happily learning Latin. My son, however, has been carrying the book around with him and teaching all of his friends who, it turns out, are interested, too. The lessons are short and easy. Mr. Linney's voice is pleasant and easy to understand on his MP3 commentaries. Even the most easily frustrated student can accomplish a good start with this book.

This book is EXCELLENT and really does allow the reader to understand beginning Latin without the pretentiousness (unintended or otherwise) of other methods. It is EXTREMELY user-friendly and allows for Latin to be picked up as quick as the user is willing to learn.

I use it in educating my ten year old son and he loves it! He quickly gets excited when posed with Latin quizzes asking him to translate sentences/phrases to and from English. (He just told me today that Latin is his favorite subject and I believe it's mine, too. I find myself now spending my free time with the author's materials just wanting to learn more, because it is SO accessible).

The lessons are short but "sweet as pie" because they are strong in content. I really like how the author gives you examples and exercises to help the content solidify in your mind. Once it's in your hands you know you are not wasting your time.

Common Latin expressions we hear and/or see are explained throughout the book are an added plus. The author even has additional online support (in MP3 format) for the text in case you are having difficulties at www.gettingstartedwithlatin.com/, so you are not without additional help.

Bottomline: get this book. You will not regret it in the least and you have so much to gain from it.

We just bought and began Latin for Homeschoolers, preparing to teach my kids this summer. I've had little Latin, so don't let lack-of-latin hold you back either. I've been using the Minimus Latin series to teach my children Latin during the summer because there's no Latin offered at their school. Getting Started with Latin is terrific! The web pronunciation guides are a real bonus. The book's bit by bit lesson style draws the student in, and keeps building the skills. I've downloaded the lecture Mr Linney provides on my ipod. His conversational style is very authentic and encouraging.

After several recommendations, I decided to purchase "Getting Started with LATIN" for our 1st year language requirement.

This is by far the easiest introduction to Latin - easy to teach, understand and learn!

My children are even amazed by the fact that they are learning a language that will be helpful throughout their life. I still refer back to the Latin I learned in school.

I would highly recommend this to all!!

These very short lessons hooked my then 9 yo son as he watched his then 11 yo brother begin his first Latin lessons. What a wonderful surprise! Now it is a given that those boys work on the Getting Started with Latin lessons together.

Each week, we work through one or two lessons (even if they are asking for more!). It's so encouraging that they are learning a love of Latin this way!

We have recently reached the lessons in which the students are required to coordinate their gradually developing knowledge of verb conjugation and noun declensions.

I wondered if my sons would baulk at this. I was so glad that they didn't. They actually enjoyed puzzling out each exercise.....

It's fun watching my sons lay around on the living room floor, visualizing the star(s) being seen, and the people seeing them.

This helped me realize that this simple method of learning to read and speak simple Latin sentences enables the student to work very specifically on comprehension (which involves visual thinking - yes.... even when reading about abstractions - as their relationships are understood spatially, even if they are not understood in a concrete visual sense).

The allegedly 'classical' alternative of memorizing and reciting charts of declensions prior to comprehension does not aid in natural comprehension. I'm so glad we avoided that exercise in redundancy which so often lacks comprehension.

As I had worked with beginning Latin in the past, I did notice that Mr. Linney was working towards filling out a given verb's conjugation and/or a noun's declension (though that vocabulary is not considered necessary for the beginning student in this method).

Therefore, since we had begun keeping a notebook, I had my sons make their entries regarding 'sum' in the form of a chart - which grew into the conjugation 'chart' for that verb.

That was a very valuable exercise for them, IMHO.

The introduction to the first noun's declension is also gradual. This means that the younger student who is not as solid in his grasp of grammar can grow into confidence in grammar. For example, naturally sensing the difference (thus the proper declension) of subjects, predicate nominatives, and direct objects is possible with this method.

In this way, the student has the opportunity to gradually grow into confidence bit by little bit.

The mastery available via each step is marvelous.

I would encourage parents whose children struggle with a given lesson (such as when the student first has to coordinate conjugations and declensions) to feel free to review a given lesson if needed (perhaps by asking the questions in a different order). Taking the time to do this over the course of two or more days' lessons enables mastery to develop.

How cool is that!?

The possibilities make me think of Robert Bolt's play _A Man for All Seasons_ in which Thomas More's daughter speaks Latin surprisingly fluently, and of Robert Louis Stevenson's _Kidnapped_ in which Mr. Rankeillor speaks to Davy Balfour in English, but with lots of Latin sprinkled in.....

My sons will probably not learn Latin to that extent. I'm not kidding myself, but IMHO, this gentle beginning to Latin helps to make that possibility more accessible to them should they continue in their enthusiasm for this empowering language.

While The Golden Key may not be my all-time favorite book, it certainly has a strong connection to the book that I treasure most of all (well, second to the Bible). You see, George MacDonald, author of The Golden Key, was in fact the mentor of Lewis Carroll, who wrote my favorite non-Biblical book, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. That's a very powerful and indeed shocking connection if you ask me. But you can kind of see it if you look closely. I mean, the kids in the Golden Key grow both old and young. Alice in Wonderland grows big and small. Kinda similar there.

Yet, I did not know about the relationship between the two books until AFTER I had finished The Golden Key and decided to do some research on its origin. I simply read The Golden Key like I would any other book, and developed some commentary on the work as a whole that I would now like to communicate:

First, the book is very short. I finished it in two days. And because its so short, events move incredibly fast to make room for heavy amounts of whimsical feeling and fantastical description.

But again I have to go back to the Alice thing. I noticed how SO many sentences in the story turned the reader upside down and made him say, "huh?" It was as if the Fairy World did everything it could to stay all out of whack. Whether it was to make speech that could be heard without ears, or to make the oldest people in the world look like little kids, the topsy-turvy nature of everything couldn't help but instill an amazing sense of awe. Truly, The Golden Key opens eyes to such incredible abstract possibilities of the imagination, and perhaps even life itself.

The out of whack sense of awe, while wonderful in this book, developed into full maturity in the Alice books. While The Golden Key merely mentions things that make no sense, the Alice books actually attempt to explain the senselessness of senseless things.

I hope I will always have a special place in my heart for MacDonald's prototype of Alice in Wonderland. Oh, if we only knew how much the imagination behind The Golden Key has really changed the world. I think we would all be very surprised.

I purchased this book as a Christmas gift for my 20-year-old daughter. It was one of her favorite books as a child and she frequently checked it out of our local library until it disappeared from the shelf there, never to be seen again. She was very excited when she saw that she had her own copy and she took the book back to college with her after Christmas break. Although I haven't actually read the book myself, I can tell you that my daughter thinks it is great!

This book is like a drink of the freshest, clearest water on the brightest, bluest spring day you can imagine. It was lovely every step of the way, somehow beautifully sad and wonderful at the same time. With the aid of the creatures of fairyland, mistreated Tangle and adventuresome Mossy go on an enchanting journey which takes them straight through to a wisdom and sense of wonderment that is somehow greater than that found in adulthood (or childhood). George MacDonald truly had an eye for the worlds of fairy, and an unsurpassed talent for expressing beauty in all things. The stories are not always meant to be understood, but deep in that inner place in one's heart, they make sense.

the tale of tangle and mossy, two child like creatures on the adventure of the ages. alone - together - parting - re-uniting, until which is which becomes forgotten and un-threatening, and best; so unimportant. Simply, this is The Best Fairey Tale I have ever read.
It is a classic.
If you know anyone with fantasy and imagination, regardless of age, this whould be a most welcome gift....

Addendum: To - "A Reader"
It is difficult to respond to a question after the questioner has left the room. Who is Dr. Peter Kreeft and what makes his opinion so important to you? It is sad that such a beautiful and wonderful story is so assaulted by a need to find the incarnation of GOD himself within it. Not that he/she is not; but please, isn't that the "Bible's" role? I think you last three comments point to your problem; that is, you really want someone "to tell you" what this book really means. Suggestion: Perhaps if you read the story to a child or a very old person over the course of three or four day, you might find it much more appealing.....

An earlier reviewer mentioned the difficulty of understanding the imagery of the story and another suggested (perhaps rightly) that the golden key represents Christ. C.S. Lewis believed it represented "the talent for loving", and having read the book numerous times, especially to nephews and nieces, I agree. Without giving away too much, notice the differences between Mossy's and Tangle's journey after their separation (physical death), especially how they saw the Old Man of the Sea. One might need to have read more of MacDonald's works (especially Unspoken Sermons) to get at his view of how love affects our ability to "see". His "At the Back of the North Wind" contains another wonderful example when North Wind explains to Diamond why she had to appear as a dreadful wolf to an old woman.

The book tries so hard to be relevant and interesting. Vortex energy, spiritual nature of water. I'm just not buying it. Don't get me wrong. I love water; I think it's important. And, sure it's mysterious. But it's not that mysterious. Some people may like the author's ideas, but I find them to be science-lite, a bit disappointing for a book on water.

I am an artist and read The Holy Order of Water about three years ago when I was painting a body of work about water. This interesting mix of personal anecdotes, mythology, and science, supports the realization that I've had after living on a lake for 14 years that water is alive. It gave me lots to ponder while working and I've since decided to focus all of my work on water. Thank you, William E. Marks, for your efforts to raise awareness and preserve water resources.

William Mark's book, Holy Order of Water is extraordinary. It has given me soulful connection in understanding water and what it really means for us, as humans, and for myself, personally. The book is filled with fascinating scientific information that I can read (and have chosen to re-read, time and time again), as it enlightens even a non scientist, like myself, to understand what is happening with our water and what we can ultimately do to survive. The wealth of content on rituals and traditions with water throughout the world and time makes this book a valuable resource. Mark's bold statement of "polluting our planet's water is the same as poisoning the blood in our bodies" illustrates his strong passion on the subject and his ability to awakens the reader to the urgency for change. Marks' intimate relationship with water touches on all levels from the physical, mental, to spiritual and is awe-inspiring. It is sublime and yet profound. Holy Order of Water is truly an enjoyable and intriguing read.

This book is as important to the Earth as Water itself. Many of us are increasingly concerned about what we are doing to the environment. Our concerns about the plight of water and its importance to the survival of life on this planet are addressed magnificently in this book that describes powers of water of which even I was unaware!

Water is a mystical, magical substance, and oh how we take it for granted; filling it with carmel coated sugar substances for profit; tossing our waste products into it as if it had no value of its own, wasting it on "the perfect lawn" which servies absolutely no purpose or function, or even washing our cars, which cry the death knoll of Earth daily.

Care enough about Water to read this book. Pass it on to your friends. Give it as a gift for Arbor Day, Earth Day, Valentine's day. It's the most important book you will read this year.

A well written very informative book, very helpful for someone just starting out. For myself I didn't find a whole lot of new information but I would have loved to have read this when I was first setting up my website.

The author has a good no-nonsense presentation style that doesn't overwhelm you with jargon.

While the information is, for the most part, laid out in an easy to follow, linear style. My only complaints:

He starts out in chapter one diving right into technical details about digital certificates, web hosting, shopping carts and so on.

I would recommend that the current chapter 2 be moved into the chapter 1 location, while the current chapter 1 becomes chapter 2. This would enable the reader to get a good dose of the foundational material before proceeding to the gory technical details.

However, don't let that put you off buying it. Bruce Brown has great communication skills, and is able to break the material down Romper Room style so that anyone should be able to understand. Yet, he doesn't just gloss over the details, he just makes them easier for a layman to understand.

This is a great 1st time starter for small business. Anyone who's planning on starting an online business should definitely read.

This book is a really must-to read for brand new internet entrepreneurs like me. I'm quite happy about this purchase. I recommend.

I have been in the internet marketing scene for many years and I wish I had this book when I was just starting out. It would have cut my learning curve down a bit.

Having said that, the book does contain a lot of information that if you HAVE been doing this a while, you may find a bit elementary. It's still a very good read and very informative.

I liked this book. It covers Internet marketing in a pretty thorough manner. There's material about online public relations or reputation and credibility building. And there's coverage of online advertising. The book is split into two parts and ten chapters as follows:

I. Using public relations for longterm success (Chapters 1-5)
II. Making online advertising profitable for your business (Chapters 6-10)

1. Winning the SEO battle
2. Leveraging articles for the Web
3. Blogging for business
4. Networking in social media
5. Broadcasting your message
6. Connecting through email
7. Unleashing an affiliate force
8. Maximizing pay-per-click
9. Reaching out through contextual advertising
10. Targeting shopping communities

The book is well written and outlined pretty well. I'm not sure chapters 6 and 10 belonged in Part II, but who knows? And I'm not sure it is possible to UNLEASH an affiliate force (Chapter 7). But who knows? I would have liked the book better if chapters 1-6 and 10 had been included in the main body of the book. And the advertising and referral fee stuff were included in a short appendix section or saved for another book.

I think chapters 2, 3, and 5 were intimately related. And I would have kept them together instead of breaking them up by inserting Chapter 4 as the author did. And Chapter 5 (podcasting) could have been split into two chapters with one being about streaming audio and the other being about streaming video. 4 stars!

Catherine Seda's presentation of information is enjoyable and most of all understandable. Whether you have been in the website development space for 15 years or 15 months she delivers the information in a manner which enables you to grasp and then implement it. I found that she confirmed what I knew and then gave me some new tactics and strategies that I am employing now for the first time. I highly recommend this book to both web savvy individuals and those just beginning.

The book has very helpful, up to date tips for website optimization and traffic generation for the beginner and intermediate audience. I would recommend it.

I spend a lot of time doing development and figuring out new coding tips and tricks. I don't, however, spend a lot of time thinking about the copy for a site or how to market it. We often get so hung up on the how that we forget about the why. Catherine Seda's book gives us great insight into another perspective of web development.

Search Engine Optimization is something that all web developers need to take into consideration these days but it's more than just making sure you use proper semantic tags. There are other, non-technical, things you can to do to improve your search results.

* Writing your copy to contain proper keywords and phrases
* Making sure your hyperlinks contain proper keywords
* Conducting an outreach campaign to get your site featured on other sites. The more sites that link to you with your keywords, the better your rankings will be
* Learn how to leverage blogs, podcasts, and social networking to increase your traffic.

There are other tactics as well. If you run a website selling office decorations, consider writing an article about how to decorate for a 3rd-party website. You'll establish yourself as an industry expert, and the links back to your site will increase your search engine rankings.

In short, there's more to building a website than just writing code. Increasing your awareness of other aspects of development makes you a more well-rounded member of your team and allows you to better serve your clients. Catherine Seda's book is a great way to start.

Honestly the whole SEO thing can be a bit mind boggling for those who are just getting into it and like myself I needed a trusted source; especially one that was not overly heavy on the technical side.

Cat does a great job of breaking it down into laymen's terms, from websites, adwords and blogs; it's a great web 2.0 intro book for SEO. Thanks to Cat's book my web site and blog traffic increased several folds!!!
