Totally digging it. The pacing, the mystery - not just the plot, but the emotions and perceptions of the protagonist. Palpable
texture and raw poetic phrasing. Rod Dakron has bona fide style. Infra is a great escape for all senses.

Insects were never thought of by anyone as 'sexy'. "Mantids" takes a look into the love life of the mantis, and a certain
male of the species who can't seem to get enough due to a certain pill a human misplaced. Making no acclaims to being highbrow,
Dakron draws from many sources in order to provide his readers with a side-splitting adventure that'll give anyone the much
needed laugh they deserve in life. "Mantids" is a must for humor readers seeking something with a twist.

Unusual novel about a woman scientist who injects herself with hammerhead shark DNA. Told from the perspective of the woman's
foster brother, the book uses language in a unique way - creating a kaleidoscope of his impressions as he watches the metamorphosis
of his foster sister into an interesting species.

even the punctuation is consistently incorrect.
"jesse laughed, newborn autumn slashing his pink misted lips, like some flamingo clown"
"Jesse flicking retinas over the road, salami black tar smoothing gelato pupils, he asked [...]"
like. ok. the words are fun and sound kind of neat, but you can't just pull out interesting words and smash them together and hope that it will mean something. i love White Oleander (Janet Fitch), and the insane similes and descriptions. but... these just don't make any sense.
on a positive note, I feel much more optimistic about someday being published!
