Tracy Cooper-Posey has a unique talent for taking her readers by the hand, leading them to the edge and pushing them off the cliff. What a story! What a ride!
A Must Read For Fans Of Romantic Suspense!!!Review Date: 2004-12-16
Two strangers meet under the most challenging circumstance. Jack Laubreaux and Sophie Kingston are the only survivors of a plane crash. Sophie has suffered a severely broken leg and Jack has suffered a sever head injury as a result of the crash. Together the hunker down and wait for rescue with Jack realizing two very important things. One, he feels responsible for the crash that left five other people dead, and two, he doubts that the rescue will take place very soon. He will do all that he can to protect Sophie before he succumbs to his injury. Along the way these two very different people grow close on that mountain ledge and when they are finally rescued and taken to the hospital Sophie is told that Jack has died as a result of his injuries. She is left bereft and carries on with life, even marrying someone that reminds her of Jack but it doesn't last. She gets on with life and when she spots a stranger walking along the road she immediately thinks of Jack. The man that saved her life and touched her heart eight years earlier that she had not been able to say goodbye to.
Jack has been on the road trying to stay one step ahead of the person that wants him dead, and at the same time find a life worth living. It's only a coincidence that leads him to Serenity Falls, that and the fact that he is drawn to the mountains every winter. He can't believe his eyes when he sees Sophie for the first time since he lost consciences on the mountain. Now all of the feelings he thought he had buried rise to the top and although he knows he should leave he can't and instead allows himself to draw close to her again. This time he wants the happy ending but will he be able to have it before the "Silent Knight" catches up with him?
The chemistry between Sophie and Jack is wonderful. I love how Ms. Cooper-Posey manages to build the respect and attraction between these two very strong people. Their first kiss is so worth the wait and in my opinion is one of the most romantic kisses that I've read. The suspense of this story is top drawer, and the reader will truly be kept guessing who the bad guy is and how this person relates to Jack. This was truly a high-octane read and when combined with the romantic storyline that Ms. Cooper-Posey has created this is a book that will leave the reader completely satisfied. I highly recommend Ms. Cooper-Posey.

Anistasia Kirk, Anna, struggles to save an albatross, plummeting herself into a adventure with David Morgan, who sees past the cool business woman façade she attempts to maintain, to the erotic, sensually passionate woman. When he reawakens her passion long held in check, she leaves him, without even a name, to return to her normal life.
The following night she and her fiancé Hugh hold their engagement party, but Anna finds herself shocked when Hugh introduces the mysterious stranger from the night before as his best friend.
Anna finds it more and more difficult to repress her emotions in the ensuing months as she spends more time in David's company. The stubbornness that she turned into tenacity in the business world, the passion she squelched to remain professional, and the sensuality repressed beneath business suits and sensible heels threatens both her security in her self-created world, and her relationship with her father. As David continues to coax the smoldering passions within Anna to a flame, she finds herself torn between like her mother who died mysteriously years before, and the sensible woman she had vowed to become.
EYES OF A STRANGER is a marvelously sensual romance with a heady rush to the senses and is written with flare and panache. When David promises Anna "I am the only man with whom you can allow your nature free reign and I am the only man who understands and accepts you as you are," even the most jaded of readers can't help but be swept away.

An Amazing Historical Romance!!!!Review Date: 2004-05-28
This was a wonderful story and as I stated earlier full of rich historic details and great characters. I truly felt that I was with Helena of York on her quest to find her father's killer brought to justice. While doing this she treads a fine line between two different kings and one man that knows her secret, and one man she finds is her strength and her love.
Stephen is Count Dinan from Normandy. King Richard has turned his back on him and now he is known as the Black Knight. While in Oxford during a council meeting he finds himself drawn to the beautiful Isolde of Brittney. Stephen knows that Isolde is not what she appears to be. He once played with the young Isolde and the beauty before him is not the little girl he played with. Soon he finds himself drawn to Helena and he makes a promise to always be there for her no matter what. Little did he know that he was actually going to pay a price larger then he ever thought he would and that he would do it again if it would keep Helena safe. Together the work to find a traitor and killer.
The chemistry between the two main characters is wonderful. It doesn't detract from the story and in fact only adds to it. You can tell that the author did her homework on York and Oxford. I have lived in England previously and have visited both of these wonderful cities. Ms. Cooper-Posey did justice to them both. Not to mention the fact that I loved that she included the myth of Robin Hood. But the most important part of any historical is actual historic figures being included. Again Ms. Cooper-Posey gets added points for including both King Richard and his brother John as part of the colorful cast of characters, as well as creating wonderful secondary characters that are very much a part of the story.
I highly recommend this book to anyone that loves rich details, and a wonderful story that will pull you into the time period. The romance is wonderful and well written. Ms.Cooper-Posey is a truly talented author and one that I will look forward to reading again in the future!
exhilarating medieval romanceReview Date: 2004-05-16
Stephen meets Isobel at the Great Council feast, but insists she is an imposter as he knew Isobel in Brittany. The masquerade Isobel is actually Helena daughter of a deceased aristocrat murdered allegedly by a Saxon villager, but she believes a Norman lord did the dastardly deed. She has gone undercover to learn who murdered her father. Stephen soon helps Helena on her quest when attacks on her life begin. As they fall in love her heart remains filled with vengeance making little room for Stephen.
HEART OF VENGEANCE is an exhilarating medieval romance that transports the audience to the late twelfth century through historical tidbits and persona interwoven into the delightful plot. Stephen and Helena carry heavy emotional loads so that love is out of the question for both of them yet neither can deny their feelings for the other. The support cast especially the also obsessed Prince John adds the feeling of being in Oxford. Though one of the most frequently used eras in novels and movies, readers receive a refreshing vivid picture of courtly intrigue inside a fabulous love story.

Awesome Romance You Won't Want To Miss!!!Review Date: 2005-12-30
Lyndsay is working hard to achieve the professional goals she's set for herself. She's hard working, determined, and failure is not an option. She is well on her way to seeing these goals met until someone throws her a curve, and that curve is none other than Luke. Luke irritates Lyndsay to no end! Now they're working together not as boss and co-worker, but instead as equals. Together they make things happen and allow the chemistry that's been slowly burning in the background to move center stage. But, what will happen between them when things don't go according to plan, and life actually has the nerve to get in the way? Will Lyndsay take a chance and reach for happiness, or will Luke's secrets and personal fears keep them from finding a love of a lifetime?
Lyndsay and Luke are exceptionally drawn characters. Ms. Cooper-Posey is a master at creating character's a reader will truly care about. She's not afraid to create a lead character that's not "perfect" in every way. Both Lyndsay and Luke have their own share of emotional baggage that has gone a long way into forming the adults they've become. The conflict between Lyndsay and Luke is not only believable but also entertaining. As a result the reader is treated to a well-choreographed dance between two people looking for love, acceptance, and a happy ending. Ms. Cooper-Posey writes with heart and is a gift to the writing industry.

I loved this book. The plot was intricate, intense, fast paced, well thought out and wonderfully written. The characters were believable, likable, and intensely loyal to each other and their country. The chemical reaction between characters was explosive with hot sexual scenes that left me sweating. I was hooked from the first chapter and read well into the night. This was not just a love story, but the story of political intrigue, true love verses duty, passion, honor, great dangers and intensely loyal people. I would not only highly recommend this book, but will anxiously be awaiting this author's new work. You can't go wrong with this book.

(She) has created a war torn and grief-stricken setting that helps to lay out the struggles Minnie faces as she tries to find Duardo. This is a love story, but more importantly, it is the story of Minnie's quest for someone who completes her. Black Heart is truly an adventure of the mind. Minnie and Duardo are two characters who won't soon be forgotten.

Alaric and his company of men are on a mission for the Pendragon - set up a series of signal fires atop the tallest hills between Arthur's headquarters in Caer Leon and Eboracum. When they come across an apparently abandoned Roman villa, Alaric thinks he has found the last vital link. Then he discovers the villa isn't abandoned; a handful of skeletal people remain, their survival dependant upon one small young woman of proud Roman descent, as fierce and stubborn as a feral kitten.
Diana has no intention of allowing these Celts -- the hated Arthur Pendragon's men, to boot! -- to take over her estate. She can barely manage to house and feed the few people that remain; Alaric and his knights will fatally deplete their meager resources. Her abuse at the hands of the Saxons has left her with a desperate need to control, and a virulent fear of men. She and Alaric finally strike an uneasy bargain. Diana and her "guests" gain the unwanted attention of the bishop of Eboracum, who has cast his greedy eye on Diana's land. He decrees she must marry his Roman nephew or risk losing her family's property altogether. Diana is forced to strike yet another bargain with her Celtic adversary -- marriage.
Privately, Alaric and Diana each convince themselves they are only marrying for mutual material advantage. Alaric guards his own dark secrets, and has good reason to guard his heart. Yet he finds himself fascinated by this fierce woman who seems at once drawn to and terrified of him. And Diana learns, through his gentle tutelage, what passion means. Alaric, Diana and their people begin to work together to rebuild the estate -- until Arthur recalls Alaric to Caer Leon.
DIANA BY THE MOON easily ranks as one of the best historical romances I have read this year. Tracy Cooper-Posey deftly blends historical detail with heart-touching romance, a beautifully rendered plot and compelling characters that will haunt you for days after you read the last page.
Highly recommended for lovers of historical romance.

Diana, daughter of the Roman Marcellus Aurelius, is named for the goddess of the moon and of the hunt. Alaric, a prince and cousin to Merlin, serves as an officer in his cousin Arthur the Pendragon's forces. If they survive, and if they can overcome their mutual enmities, they must find a way to link their destinies both for personal survival and for the survival of Britain.
The rise of Arthur brought forth the realization that the citizens of Britain who still viewed themselves as Roman citizens, as Diana's family does, must learn to look at old ways with new eyes or perish. Under Roman law a woman must marry or enter a convent when she passes marriageable age. Indeed, twenty-one year old Diana had preferred to lurk in the shadows and escape her parent's notice. But when a Saxon invasion deprives the family villa of all older members of the family, the governing of the land and its people falls to the previously ignored middle daughter. Over the course of a year, Diana creates a new place for herself in life as the leader and guardian of her household. Using her father's journals as guides, she ensures her people's survival in the face of starvation and invasion.
Arthur Pendragon brings a new hope for the future, according to Alaric. But when the soldier arrives, insistent upon setting one of a string of many beacons across Britain, Diana only acquiesces when Alaric threatens to use Roman law against her. Alaric warns of a Saxon invasion and works to unite the people of Britain under Arthur's protection. But the Roman inhabitants of Britain, abandoned for the last fifty years, still place their allegiance with Rome, scorning Britain's ... upstart.
Diana is outraged by the placement of the beacon upon her property. But she hasn't much choice when reminded that Roman women do not own property. Further, Diana soon will learn it isn't the British soldiers she need fear, but the plots of the other Roman citizens who view her position as weak, and her property ripe for the taking.
Diana's namesake, the old Roman goddess was both the hunter and the moon goddess. It will take all the skills both elements bring to overcome her adversaries, the threat of starvation, and a Saxon invasion. Not only must she protect those whom she shelters, but she must learn to trust herself and Alaric if she wishes to live a dream of equality rather than subservience. Rather than focusing on the past, as most Roman citizens do, Diana must learn to build a new future, and stay alive long enough to succeed.
Tracy Cooper-Posey has a remarkable narrative voice that lends itself perfectly to whatever genre she chooses. In her romantic tale EYES OF A STRANGER, her voice was smooth, silky with an underlying sensuality that bordered on decadence. Her Sherlock Holmes tale is almost appropriately British in tone; that is, very proper, logically articulate, and methodical.
With this marvelous tale she perfectly captures the strength of her incredible heroine in prose which is distinctive, sharp, crisp and yet powerfully feminine. This reviewer can hardly wait to see what genre this talent author tackles next; indeed, it seems nothing is beyond her pen's capacity.

Full of Danger & Turmoil!Review Date: 2005-11-19
The Red Leopard is a story full of danger and turmoil. The longing Nick and Calli have for each other is almost overwhelming. When they finally come together, it is hot and passionate. Nick and Calli's reunion after a brief separation is a scorchingly emotional scene. It's a very sweet moment. The plot is a little slow paced in the middle, but the last part of the story is exciting. I did, however, find the ending to be somewhat anticlimactic. There are a few plot points in which the reader is left hanging. Overall The Red Leopard is a good book. It captured my interest and I found it entertaining.

A Great Read That Will Have You Glued To The Pages!!!Review Date: 2004-09-11
The chemistry between Calli and Nicolas is instant and it's hot, but Ms. Cooper-Posey manages to draw it out and as a result when our lovers finally get together it's beyond steaming. This is really a great story about two people who are greatly attracted to each other but can't be together because of a situation (in this case civil war for a very small country) that is beyond their control.
This story is very romantic and although this is a "romantica" story this is not a book with page after page of gratuitous sex scenes. Instead it's a story about strength and integrity, and yes, attraction.
Nicolas is the half-brother of the President of Vistaria. His country is on the brink of revolution and the last thing he needs is an instant and intense attraction to American Calli Munro. She is everything that he wants but can't have.
Callie on the other hand has just come to Vistation at the request of her uncle Josh. On her first night in town she finds herself in jail with nothing and no one and she is less then thrilled. Before she knows it she is being release after a rather intense interview with a red headed mystery man. The attraction she feels for him is more then anything that she has felt in a very long time, and when he is about to walk away she tries to hold on, but mystery man walks away with a hit of sadness in his eyes. She has no idea who her rescuer is and she can't get him out of her mind, even when she's asleep. Soon her world will collide with his and she will find out just who Nicolas really is. Even knowing she can't have him doesn't detract from their mutal attraction. Will they ever be able to act on their feelings or will threat of war keep them apart?
This was really an emotional story that was well told. The characterization was right on, and Ms. Cooper-Posey does an excellent job of keeping our interest alive while at the same time keeps our lovers apart. That is until...well, never mind I'll let you read the book! This was a great book that I highly recommend to the fan of the romance genre. Word of warning things are a little spicy then the average romantic read but it's tastefully done. Ms. Cooper-Posey is now and author I'll pick up simply because her name in on the cover.

Convincing dialogue and reactions had me rooting for the pair. Despite their stubborn pride, which comes through clearly through their actions, they both realize that their love has not diminished. Their inner struggles as they attempt to forgive and forget past mistakes are genuine and easy for the reader to appreciate. Surrounded by the descriptive narrative of coastal Australia, it was easy to imagine yourself sitting on the rocks as the surf crashed sending spray over your face.

Satisfactory!Review Date: 2002-06-23
In short, this pastiche has everything that the first novel lacked: plot, vivid characters and characterizations, continual new developments and unexpected incidents. There's a good, scenery-chewing villain, Von Stein, and plenty of frantic action, as various secret agents practice the double- and triple-cross. As in any novel which mixes Holmes into WWI, there's not a lot of opportunity for Holmes to be Holmes--- instead, he's a rather elderly, but still spry action hero.
The novel's only liability is the return of a preposterous character from CHRONICLES, among whose many absurdly exaggerated abilities is that of being in two widely-separated locations at what is apparently the same instant, both timewise and plotwise. It is also a bit disappointing not to have Watson around, and further to be left at novel's end with no clear indication as to the current status of Mycroft Holmes.
If you don't mind some bending of the willow, you'll probably enjoy this adventure of Holmes in the middle East during the height of WWI.

Silent Knight has it all--a villian that is all seeing, a hero that is tall, dark and tortured ; a heroine who's trying with her last shred of strength to make life work. The romance elements are subtly done and yet so intergral to the book, this is the suspense romance genre at it's best!
