This is the kind of book movies buffs absolutely love, written with affection by an excellent writer. The color inserts of "B" lobby cards from the 1940's are gorgeous. The author, a regular contributor to FILMS OF THE GOLDEN AGE and CLASSIC IMAGES, has to rank up their with Leonard Maltin, Lawrence Quirk, William Everson, etc. as one of our very best movie historians.

I have just purchased my third copy of this tape. I lend it out and it never comes back. It is a wonderful collection of oral interviews covering a wide range of topics and personalities. The interviews are 1st person history; the attitudes and issues of each decade are reflected in the comments. Studs is a knowledgeable interviewer. If you have any interest in 20th century America, I highly recommend it -- get it now, it is getting harder to find.

Personally I thought this book was the best quote book I have ever read. Some of the quotes I was able to apply to my life and relate it to my life. I think this book is for any one and every one.

I think Ellyn Sanna (the author of this book) must have the same friends I do. She shared so much of her heart, that this book goes way beyond the usual gift book collection of other people's quotes. The CD is beautiful too, and the book truly expresses the real spiritual value of friendship. Ms. Sanna is not your ordinary gift book compiler, for all of her books are unusually deep and beautifully worded. She not only expresses her own heart, but manages to speak for us all as well.

iT WAS ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BOOKS I have ever read....My best friend gave it to me for my birthday and she couldnt have given me a better gift...The quotes are wonderful to just sit with a friend and read the, laugh, and cry...It is a great book....and easy to carry around.

The illustrations are whimsical and the messages eternal! All 127 pages are a pure delight. This is a collection of quotes which bring to mind the shared memories between friends. This tiny treasure is divided into five sections. The introduction describes friendship in detail and then the rest of the pages contain famous quotes or brief passages about friendship.

My favorite quote is: "Happiness is the by-product of an effort to make someone else happy. - Gretta Palmer (b. 1905) American Writer. At this price you can order at least one or two of these books for all your friends. As you can see from the cover picture, this is a brightly illustrated book. Some of the pages also have pastel backgrounds.

Some of the best gifts I have ever received have been tiny books. I put them in my purse and enjoy reading them when I have to wait in line or wait for a table at a restaurant. With this book, it is time well spent.

This is a book filled with quotations about friendship. I bought one for each of my best friends. It's a keeper!
