"Code Of The Heart" by Earl Avraham David is a must read for the bible code expert or the bible code novice. Though this book teaches the importance of Judaism to the world and the rich history and future of the Jews foretold in the Torah, its literature is not bound by any single religious group to read. If you are a believer in God, or a doubter who needs proof that the Torah is the word of God then this book is for YOU. While other books on the bible code simply tell you the discoveries they made, this book will do that AND give you step by step instructions in Gematria so that you to can conduct your own research into the mystery and depth of the Torah. You will be taught several different methods of performing bible code research. One may also be surprised that through Gematria, they will be able to find their name in the hidden context of the Torah which actually is quite simple to do, and the code can reveal your nature or behavior. If you think that your birth name doesn`t have any influence on your life your wrong, read the book and you`ll see what I mean. The author in addition shows how the Parsha of the week influences current events such as the War with Iraq, 9/11, the allegations of rape aginst Kobi Bryant, the Hunt for Saddam and more. The old saying is true "History repeats itself.", the past and present tie together. "Code Of The Heart" by Earl Avraham David is a great read and when one is done with the book, one can look back to it days, weeks, months, or years later for advice, inspiration, or research. I strongly recommend you buy this book. I suspect we will be hearing alot more from Earl Avraham David.

I have read the book and it is most interesting and inspirational as we live in a world of fear and instability and Earl David, with the aid of his codes, shows how G-d truly loves even in the end of days as we see that the term love is encoded where Jacob discusses the end of days. He also has excellent analysis of the roots of Islamic Terrorism. This is a must read in todays uncertain world.

Reading "The Comfort Book" is a strange and wonderful experience. As I encountered, one after another, the descriptions by people of the methods by which they find comfort in difficult times, I felt myself drawn to that core level of humanity that one discovers in the deepest moments of insight. In a world that is so loud and fast and sometimes isolating, it's easy to lose sight of the simple need to be soothed, the soft side of us all. This beautiful book shines its light on that basic yearning. From now on, one of my own sources of comfort will be to turn to this book.

Comfort for Everybody

I have to admit that I usually approach books like this with skepticism. So many of them are full of sugary sentimentality. But Jane Seskin's Comfort Book is different. She has had the intelligence to ask real people what they find comforting, and how they offer comfort to others.

The result is a collection of responses that are usually helpful, sometimes funny, and never too sentimental. The people in this book - who have all had a lot of pain in their lives - find comfort in everything from Big Band music to cats, and from cleaning the floor to meditation. The sheer number of comforting suggestions is comforting it itself. There really is something here for everybody.

The Comfort Book is divided into practical sections: "Things," "Places," "Music," "Animals" and so on. Jane Seskin, who describes herself as a "Psychotherapist, writer, earth mother and coach," has included pages for personal notes, and a comfort balance sheet.

The Comfort Book is a perfect gift for your anxious friends and relatives this Holiday Season, or at any other season. Comfort is never out of style.

I just purchased this book two hours ago, and I must rate it at once. It's marvelous. God has truly blessed James Riddle with this gift, because I know it's going to take me deeper into the Word than I've ever gone. The layout is great, and the Word of God couldn't be any greater. There are the promise, the declaration of faith, and then cross-references. It all makes for an in-depth understanding of God's Word, perfect for any believer, new or seasoned. I can't wait to go deeper into God's promises!

Awesome gift idea, and inspiring for new believers.

This bible is layed out by topic, and covers everything under the sun. It allows new and seasoned believers to see what the Word says about every area of life. Of course this is not the only bible you should own, but a good resource to see all the promises the word has for that area of life. From there you can go to your regular bible and read more see the verses in the full context of scripture. I purchased it for a friend, and went through it thoroughly before mailing it to him. I was very impressed by the layout, scripture references and statement of faith prayers that it has through out declaring the promises of God. I know in my heart that he will be encouraged by the promises and love of our Awesome Saviour! I would suggest to read out loud, because faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Hope this helps someone to invest in their own life or the lives of others. God bless and stand on His promises!

Inspiring and empowering quotations
Helpful Votes: 10 out of 10 total.
Review Date: 1998-09-17
What I really love about this collection of quotations is how widely divergent their sources are. They range from traditional authors and views to those more unconventional and offer an eclectic mix of religious and spiritual traditions and new age concepts -- kudos to the editor. An excellent, well thought-out mix which opens the reader to all kinds of spiritual possibilities, while always focusing on the empowering idea of inner consciousness and the way it affects our lives and perceptions. As you read each day's quote, you realize over several days that a theme is emerging, and often one theme leads into the next in interesting, unexpected ways. I have a number of quotation collections and this one is by far the most diverse and well-arranged. I have found that there is real depth in the themes, and for me, an uncanny sense that each quote concerns some aspect of my spiritual growth on the day I read it. Another great aspect of this calendar is that each quote is footnoted so you can go to the source and read the text from which the quote was taken -- an invaluable resource, and one that very few quotation books or calendars employ. I also prefer the calendar form to that of a book because the calendar stays open. All you have to do is flip the page, not pull out a book and open it. In a perpetual calendar, no days of the week are associated with the dates, so when the year is over you start again. I highly recommend this inspiring calendar of quotations -- you won't be disappointed.

This is a great calendar!!

The quotes are from multitudinous, eclectic sources. It is nice to see so many teachers in agreement that we create our own reality.

This little book is fantastic in increasing your walk with God. Whether you are a baby Christian or a seasoned saint there is something for everyone in this book.

One problem, if you have problems using your hands, it is extremely difficult to open the package. However, after the struggle you will find that this book is definitely worth the fight.

The line between comedy and tragedy is very thin in Daily Negations. Every day features a new, grim thought to bring you back down to earth if you were feeling a little too good about yourself. But the humor is so raw and edgy--and genuinely funny--that you won't resent it a bit

"The words that enlighten the soul are more precious than jewels" - Hazrat Khan. Quotes, poems, bits of philosphy, East, West, saints, sinners, poets, authors all contribute to this inspiring collection of quotes. Some simple, some pretty deep, all are beautiful thoughts. A friend once gave it to me and years later I still reference it.

A book which delivers the title. This is a conjugation of truths derived from different religions, philosophies, poets and authors, all of which provide fantastic and moving insight into the human experience through verse, proverbs and various scripture. It achieves this without being didactic, self-absorbed, secular or trivial. A book you can cherish.

The Dark Side is a creative and interesting book

I bought the book for one of my gothic friends thinking it was about misery but when I opened it up I was entranced by the quotes. I don't view it as a negative book even though most of the quotes are not cheerful. It makes you think and it was very captivating to see how some of my favorite authors had hidden meanings in their writing which I did not see until it was taken from the context as a quote. I great book for those who are into quotes and looking into a different type of reading material.

The ultimate nihilistic reference. Excellent!

If you are a nihilist or are just interested (or curious -I know I was) in nihilism then you should definately check out this book. I got mine at the library and ended up buying multiple copies. It helps me put forth evidence in essays and other things I write of how nihilism has been present through out the ages.
