"Charge, men, and yell like furies!"Review Date: 2000-07-17
This little book of quotes, both by Jackson and by those who knew him give us a better understanding of Jackson - the man and the soldier. There are quotes by Lee and McClellan, Garnett and Ewell, but it is the words of Jackson himself, which come across with power and passion. Indeed, at times you can almost feel the piercing blueness of his gaze as he moved into battle.
This is a good little book, it gives a depth of insight into Jackson without having to read longer biographies. I recommend it to you.

A Delightful AnthologyReview Date: 2003-06-16
The sheer volume of material contained within this book is simply amazing. Although they don't give as much information as one might like, the passages, excerpts and quotes included in this book provide windows into Middle Eastern life and history. Ultimately, I must strongly recommend that any student of Middle Eastern or Islamic history at least give this book a look. You won't regret it.

BEAUTIFUL tribute to mother's!Review Date: 2003-05-12
This is one of the most delightfully beautiful books. I feel fortunate in owning it and will derive hours of pleasure from it. When the day grows hectic, it's a delight to pick it up and remind yourself of what really matters in life. It would make a wonderful gift for your mother or any special mother you know, even a new mom. A truly wonderful book!

I own seven comprehensive books of quotations, other than a dozen other small one's. This is the best one ever. PERIOD. If you're a Christian priest, pastor or an educator; this is the book for you.
A very helpful resourceReview Date: 2004-08-16
Luckily, this book doesn't disappoint. It features an astonishing 20,000 quotations. The "make or break" feature, however, is how they're organized. The larger a collection of quotations, the more important it is that they are organized and indexed well. This is where they editor's work really shines. It is very easy to look up quotes on a wide variety of subjects, or to look up quotes by a particular speaker.
If you want to liven up your sermon or lesson with relevant quotes from famous people (both Christian and secular), you'll find this a solid reference, and a good value.
An invaluable resource for the Christian's libraryReview Date: 2001-06-06
The Encyclopedia of Christian Quotations is wonderful because it has dug up some very original quotes from some of histories dearest saints. It also has some lengthy portions that are wonderful reading as well. Just about every topic and subject is available and the indexing is great.
What I like about this book is that it comes from an objective viewpoint. There are even a few secular quotes that can be used to drive home a good point. He doesn't endorse these, as he says in the forward, but he includes them for reference.
The Encyclopedia of Christian Quotations is a great desk reference. I am so glad I purchased it. It has become a regular fixture alongside my computer.

From informative and sometimes witty tips, you'll find out what college is really like from real people who have or who are still experiencing college life. This makes a great gift for yourself or anyone you know who is ready for college.
