This was one of my favorite books during my childhood. I lent it to a friend and it never came back to me, therefore I have been searching for it for a long time (I forgot the title and author). The book is in a novel format with beautiful silhouettes illustrating almost every page. If you like fairy tales that have been re-written, this is a really good choice.

Memories of My College Days at the U of M

My wife bought me this book for a Christmas present a few years ago. The author presents a very humorous account of his college days at the University of Michigan. Since I also lived in the same dormitory as the author,as well as in much of the same time period, I could vividly recall many of the people he descrbed in this narrative as well as many of the events. Jerry brought back to memory many humorous times in our lives as engineering students. I couldn't stop laughing because what he described was how it was in the 1950's and believe it or not those stories and events really did happen.

I am always looking for fun postcards to send to friends that will bring a smile to their face. these definitely fit the criteria - also they are on good "mailing" stock paper. A nice easy way to stay in touch that people truly enjoy - for the cost of a postcard and a stamp.

This is the latest book I have purchased by Ann Benson. She is one of the best instructions and illustrations for beading techniques I have encountered. I have many of her books, and have purchased many of her kits offered on her website. Her choice of colors are subtle in a time when everything is so bold. Her style is more European. I can't reccommend this book more highly.

This book is an old favorite that my mom read to my siblings and I every Christmas Eve for years. It is a wonderful tale of a young man who finds peace, joy and comfort making baby Jesus smile with his juggling act on Christmas day. Tommy De Paola's illustrations are magnificent. A delightful gift for children (and adults) of all ages. I highly reccommend you start reading it to your own children as I will to mine.

The Best

I just received my copy of the Codex the other day, and after taking the next several hours reading it, I thought I would pop on here and give a review. After following The Everlasting series for many years, I have come to think that The Everlasting is bar none the best modern day roleplaying game on the market. It is more user-friendly and allows for much more creativity and divirsity with characters and games. The Codex is the first source book to the series, and, in my humble opinion, is by far the best put together book out of all of the published Everlasting books. The artwork is magnificent, the inside information sheds some much needed light on some areas of The Everlasting, adding that little bit of help for a lot of players. I suggest to everyone who likes roleplaying to get not only this book but the four foundation books as well, as the entire series is one of the best things in the industry.

British Hip Hop revival?

Aim is a relatively unknown british artist, and if this album doesn't put him on the radar nothing will . Cold Water Music has got to be one of my favorite hip hop albums. It is filled with catchy songs, and keeps your attention for the entire length. I must have listened to "Aint got time to waste" a few hundred times. Everybody who has heard me playing this album asks me who it is and where I got it from. I can't wait till I can get my hands on a copy of "hinterland". If you would like to find some hip hop with great lyrics AND an amazing melody, buy this album ASAP.

This excellent book gives the beginner and advanced rock hound all the info they need to get started finding and cleaning beautiful Arkansas quartz crystals for their collection. This book contains lots of useful information about where the mines are (including maps), how to collect, clean and trim crystals, as well as how to identify a surprisingly large number of varieties of quartz AND crystal types. Campsite and lodging information included. We had been crystal digging in Arkansas before, but found this book made our most recent trip immensely more enjoyable and successful!

Griselda's 'English Pottery'

This is another superb example of this knowledgable author's work from one of the leading antiques reference works publishers, the Antique Collectors' Club. Following the path of the fascinating development of English pottery from before the Bronze and Iron Ages through to the productions of the early Staffordshire potteries and thence to the end of the Twentieth Century we feel well acquainted with all the main branches of English ceramics by the end of our journey. Illustrations are plentiful and of excellent quality making this book a pleasure to handle and 'dip into'. There is plenty of space devoted to the later decades of the last century dealing as the author does with the Leach familly, Lucie Rie and Hans Coper to name just a few out of many artist potters. I was surprised and delighted to see illustrated (page 130) a mug from the obscure Villa Pottery, Cobridge. I have a very similar example in my collection. Many authors would have shown an example from a more well-known pottery such as Masons. This book cannot be recommended too highly. You will not be disappointed.
