Great for bed time reading.Review Date: 2005-12-03
Every page has a colorful picture that small children will enjoy as you read to them. Simple sentences accompany the illustrations to help children learn to sound out words and read.
***** This book has been around for years now and has been reprinted more than once. You may be able to find it in a used book store. However, I suggest you go ahead and purchase it new. Children love the Sesame Street's books. It WILL be read over and over. If you get it used, chances are good that you will have to get a second copy. Very educational. Highly recommended! *****

From baby to adult - letters for lifeReview Date: 2007-03-23
Needless to say, I had to get busy. The graphics were large enough for my "over 40" eyes to read without having to get new glasses and with the color prints of the letters on the same page, even if I had a question of which symbol was what, the photo made sure I didn't!
The last page in the book gives general instructions on working with carts and explanation of stitches in case I forgot what Mom taught me as a small girl. I have a feeling that as the children grow and their tastes change, I will be using this book for a long while. I can see my "off to college" grandchildren wanting an elegant initial on a blouse or pillowcase for their life on campus!

Accidental PaintingsReview Date: 2005-12-23

One of the best histories of the Actors Studio.Review Date: 2001-07-29
Starting with Stanislavski's contribution to the "impulse of art" which led to the formation by Lee Strasberg, Harold Clurman and Cheryl Crawford of the Group Theatre (still unmatched in American Theatre history as America's only true ensemble theatre company), and continuing through the development of the Actors Studio until 1980 (the year the book was published), writer David Garfield has revealed the "inner lives" of this astounding ensemble cast of characters with a wonderfully neutral perspective on their often publicized idiosyncrasies. This book will dispel, once and for all, much of what has been misunderstood about "method" acting.
Every serious actor or student of theatre should read and re-read this amazing chronicle... --Harry Governick, Artistic Director, TheatrGROUP

Sidebars abound throughout this book, and screen shots illustrate without confusion. If you are already familiar with the Production Studio and just want to know a little bit more about some major options in each of the softwares, this book could be just the thing for you.
