I bought this book along with a few others and it has truely helped me develop a curriuclum for my high school Art of Film class. The DVD examples help to visually understand the concepts and I enjoyed it for my own knowledge as well.

Tactfully written in an encouraging, humorous, yet appropriately informative manner, First Time Up documents the often difficult experience of teaching contemporary college students and recommends what processes would be most appropriate in dealing with student maturity and academic preparedness issues. As a truly well written, experienced based, and "user friendly" guide First Time Up is to be given high praise and is very strongly recommended reading -- especially for novice English teachers and professors of college level students.

This book is a great health book. I've really enjoyed reading this book, although it is a refresher of high school health. All the info is updated and it's targeted towards college kids and their lifestyles. This is definetely a great purchase, one of the best textbooks I've had to read.

I'm a college student using this text, lab manual, and audio CD accompnaiment. I had taken German previously, but the text was difficult to understand and the layout didn't seem to make sense. This book teaches the German language in a layout that makes the learning process flow more smoothly. Each topic builds on the last, and the exercises are challenging yet excellent practice for what was learned. The text not only teaches vocabulary and grammar, but also the German culture and day-to-day German life. The Audio accompniment is an excellent addition to the text because it helps you build on your listening skills and actually hear the correct pronunciation of the words you've learned by many different voices, so you're not hearing one voice repetitively.

The book was delivered to me complete and in the condition that it was sold to me in. I would recommend and use this seller for future transactions.
