If you want to enter the world of solid works this is the book you must have. Easy to follow with step-by-step instruction and illustrations.
I took the training and after I finish I could start making my own drawings. Also this is a good quick reference for the experienced designers.

I bought this book when the company I worked for upgraded from SolidWorks 2007 to 2008. I found it to be useful especially since the IDE interface changed from 2007. The material is presented in a logical start-to-finish design method so it's a great tutorial. However it's not much use as a reference only due to the structure of the book. If your switching to SolidWorks 2008 I highly recommend this book just to get the most out of the IDE.

This book is full of great examples about direct marketing design. Is very usefull to develope new ideas based on the succesfull ones.

I got this book tonight. I love it. Its a great book to get any designers juices flowing. It has alot of pictures and detailed explanations. Buy it, you won't be disappointed.

Another great resource book from the "Best of Brochure" series by Rockport. It features approximately 187 pages of high profile pieces from well-known design firms. The individual brochures are shown in a large format, with most being given a page to themselves. There are a variety of styles ranging from non-profit organizations to large corporate clients. A must-have reference book for any designer.
