My son does not particularly enjoy reading himself, but this book series is one that he happily read. I highly recommend for any child that is interested in animals and some of the gross and interesting things that they do. We went to the zoo after reading this series too and my son had a ball seeing some of the animals from this series. He thinks these books are cool.

My son has loved this book since he was about 2 1/2. It's the perfect book to introduce young children to the wonderful world of their backyard. We took our own "bug hunt" after reading this story.

Although I loved this book, it was a difficult Read Aloud for three and four year olds due to the quantity of words. I'm sure it would be perfect for the first grade age range.

My 2 year old absolutely loves this book. We read it every single night. We now make up our own little stinky pants story when it's time for diaper changing. Very cute. Looking forward to the other books in the series.

Our two year old adores this book. She loves to shout "Oh no!" at the unexpected ending when the Ant family finds out how ignoring their chores snowballs into culinary disaster! Highly recommended. It's short and the cause-effect chain of events is simple to understand -- and funny! We're going to order the other Ant family books and see if they're as good as this one.

This sticker book is beautiful and educationally sound -- I thoroughly enjoyed working through it with my 4-year-old grandson.

This is the first book my son became interested in. He loves the colors and the big bug eyes. Being a sturdy board book it holds up!

I don't know where we would be without David Carter and his bugs. Our daughter fell in love with Alphabugs when she was just a few months old and still pulls out a bug book over all others. I highly recommend them for not only the entertainment but also for the educational value. Our daughter learned so much from the wonderful world of Mr. Carter's bugs.

This book is a GREAT pop-up book. My 3-year-old twin daughters fell in love with this book in speech therapy and I was more than happy to finally find a copy of it here at Amazon.com!! Highly recommend for any little ones.

The popups are amazing, huge and very impressive. Little boys will love them. I like to collect popup books, so my main interest is in the quality of the popups which is very very good.
Buy the book if you have young buy. He will be sure to be delighted.

The Know-It-Alls series of books by Christopher Nicholas and Mike Maydak are wonderful tools that we use in our second grade classrooms. They are well written with many useful facts and are on a level that can be easily understood by children. The synopsis at the end of each part of the book is great for helping the students research a particular topic. We have used the snake books, spider books and have now ordered butterflies and bugs. We can't wait to receive them. Thanks!

This book is a very informative. My son is only 3 1/2 years old and can tell you things about bugs that some adults don't even know. The books layout of pictures and short descriptions make it easy for a young child to understand and learn. The whole line of these books I would suggest for young children interested in science.
