This collection of poetry will remain on my bedside table as I re-read and imagine a fate that could have been my own. Each poem is honest and unique. I was brought on a journey through a painful past that is so thoughtfully told.

I enjoy Mrs. Johnson's book because her characters love God

In this book Kate O'Connel learns what it means to be kind to someone even when they're mean to you. I like how she turns to God in all that she does. It's also very exciting to read and try to figure out the mystery of the missing ring. Kate also trys to find out where the little kitten keeps going. I also think that this book deserves 10 stars!

This wonderful book is actually a collection of two of Walter Brown Gibson's (1897-1985) great Shadow novels, and begins with an introduction by Gibson himself. The two stories are gems in and of themselves, but together they form a great collection.

My father used to talk about listening to The Shadow on the radio when he was a kid, and I was thrilled to be able to hear it myself. Now, after some serious searching, I have been able to read some original Shadow pulp novels. Written when Walter Gibson was at his height, these stories are fascinating and well written. If you are a fan of The Shadow, then you should read this book. I give it two thumbs up, WAY up!

The first story is The Crime Oracle, which was first published in 1936. There's a series of crimes being committed; crimes so perfectly planned that even The Shadow can't seem to prevent them. It seems that the criminals have a perfect planner for their crimes - a crime oracle - a magic disembodied head! Can The Shadow out-think and out-fight the Crime Oracle? Only the Shadow knows!

In the second story, The Teeth of the Dragon, first published 1937, a mysterious letter arrives for the Shadow from China. It seems that a Chinese criminal organization that has been operating out of San Francisco's Chinatown is spinning broader and more intricate webs. There's only one man who can penetrate the Jeho Fan (the Teeth of the Dragon) and stop their schemes - The Shadow!

Amazing Trilogy.. Classic status in my library

This is such an unusual trilogy that deviates from the norm. A vampire tale steeped in magic. A vampire is paired with a Church knight on a quest. Each with their own agenda and reasons. The book has its dark and scary moments you long for, yet has the "Good will prevail" sentiment.

It been a little while since I read the trilogy. I pull it off the shelf every couple of years. This is certainly one of my favorites. Magic, Battles, and a good overall story.

Any of Dee Henderson's books are excellent reading. I have most of her books and enjoyed getting to know the entire family of her characters. Interesting Christian believer theme that isn't condescending.
