Avenger Books

The Avenger is the third installment in the Death Row series. None of these titles stand alone so reader beware. You need to start at the beginning of the series to absorb this plot line and story in its entirety. But you won't be disappointed making the commitment as each story is woven together to suck the reader into a futuristic world that both horrifies and attracts.

Kerick keeps Nellie a prisoner as he works at mastering her. Nellie doesn't wish to betray her lover but she has little choice as the fate of so many rests on her ability to perfect the serum. Kerick would never understand Nellie's background. She has not told him her father is one of the most hated men in the Hierarchy and when Kerick finds out this fact from another he feels betrayed by Nellie.
But he swallows his hatred and lets his love for Nellie lead his instincts as Nellie wins him over and he vows to help her find the Xibalba and the answers that await within. Unfortunately for Kerick, the Xibalba does hold the secret to the serum and it is Nellie that holds the key to unlocking that secret.
Kerick is held prisoner as Nellie once again treks through the jungle, this time towards her destiny. If things go her way, she will be able to hold in her hand the cure and the future of the human race. But there is an equal chance that fate will turn on her and she will die at the claws of the sub-humans.

Discover Ms. Black's world of the future, where the rules between the sexes are stringently dominant and females are prized for their bodies and must survive on their wits. For a read that will propel you into another dimension, I highly recommend this series.

I am totally pleased with this purchase. I have wanted to buy this
particular book for quite some time and went with this item because it
costs just about as much for a worn, used copy as for this one which is
in perfect condition. Nothing was damaged in any way and it looked as if
it had never been used. I would gladly buy from this company again in the
future.

Girls of Avenger is the story behind the story of the young women who participated in WWII in PLANES! Most people have never even heard of the W.A.S.P. (Women's Airforce Service Pilots) much less acknowledge their contribution to the war effort. This coming-of-age story about a group of girls who grow up to become pilots is poignant and refreshing. In an era when women weren't expected to get a higher education or to join the workforce, these ladies took on the new field of airplane piloting. They are all fiesty and interesting...there's even a forbidden love story, but because young ladies in this era had high moral expectations and didn't curse, this is a great book for young people to read. Get this book, you'll learn something about American History, and enjoy it along the way.

this book had it all, the charachters-Thor,Iron Man,Captain America and many more,the thing I liked most about the book was the battles themselves, it was all ways exiting

These novels were published by TSR and tie into the Agent 13 supplement for their Top Secret RPG. The story is set in the 1930's and concerns one man's quest against The Brotherhood, an organization of evil. Agent 13 is similar to The Spider, but not just a carbon copy. The book races along at a quick pace, which is what every thriller wishes it did.

I wish these guys would write more novels!!!

I had a chance to peek at an advance copy at the Troma booth at Comic Con San Diego! It looks AWESOME!
I love comics and Troma movies, so when I heard about it I was very excited. It did not dissapoint. The anthology format was cool and the choice of source material was superb. There were many differant styles of art and the stories are new, not adaptations........I read a SEQUEL could be in the works also! Can't wait to get my own copy!!!

My five year old son loved it. I read it to him and he was fascinated. One of the few times he picked up a book and wanted to look at it after it was read to him.

The first story with Modok - who should be a much bigger character in the MU than he currently is - alone is worth the price as the Avengers become the Mod-Avengers when Modok makes them all like he. The other stories are also pretty good particularly Ego the Loving Planet who's come to hit on Mother Earth.

Still not sure how Spidey ended up on the team while having his own MA book nor do we yet know Giant Girl's origin. Hopefully all will be explained in future volumes.

Alright, as for my review of this book, i truly enjoyed it. Only in the Marvel Adventures can you get that feel good comic feeing anymore in any comics. Everything else is too grim and gritty and angst ridden. This book is a breath of fresh air and makes you remember why you collected in the first place!
