This was a wonderful book, great photography, lots of information. You can tell the author put a lot of research into the book. I'd recommend this to anyone really heavy into fashion: Fashion students, designers looking for inspiration/info, etc.

This is an absolute must have for those who do a lot of travel and culinary excursions to France. Almost every michelin starred chef in Paris is featured (save Alain Ducasse, but he has enough books) with an in depth interview and three or four recipes from each chef. Photography and binding quality is first rate. Many of the chefs featured do not have books of their own, so this is really the only way you'll get a peak into their culinary style and execution. Highly recommended for those who can't make up which restaurant to visit first.

An excellent book for firefighters and their families. Tells you a lot of information about heavy rescue trucks. Lots of great photos of these apparatus. A great reference book for hobbyists, scale model fire truck makers and fire buffs. Read on!

I needed four more cents for free shipping, and I found this book
with lots of pretty pictures. It's a little smaller than I expected, but
the dimensions are clearly stated. The pages are nice and thick
and it even has a couple on the 2006 concept Challenger.

But wouldn't you know, it's printed in China...

The Hermitage Museum is one of the world's treasures, featuring much of the magnificent art from generations of czars. This guide, produced during the Soviet era as a showpiece for foreign visitors, features reproductions - many in full color - along with information about the art. The quality of the reproductions is generally excellent, and the accompanying text, written in excellent English, is nicely informative.

Each section is preceded with a regional map, the villages, towns, and cities within each region are presented alphabetically. For those like myself who were not able to see the exhibit in London, this catalogue is a wonderful survey of this supreme student of the human mind. Every single portrait is a profound analysis of the sitter's personality. These paintings are 500 years old, but they could have been painted yesterday. The text gives new insight on Holbein's world and even on the meaning of some paintings (e.g. the Lady with a Squirrel).
