Where did the V-twin engine design come from?
What is the development story behind the SP fairings?
Many questions are answered, both for the 'old-hand' and new Guzzi enthusiast alike.
Mick gives a personal review of each model, it's foibles & idiosyncracies. An entertaining & enjoyable read!
I'm glad I bought it!

Oooooh the sound of a Guzzi could never be encapsulated onapage but Mick gives a really good go at caputuring the sprit of thislumbering monster of a marque. It is great to see that he not only incldes lots of great information but some personal histories of some Guzziologists. IT makes it all so much more relevant when you read the book. Mick writes a lot of really good books and this is one of them.

For a long time I contemplated purchasing a bike (my dream Harley) and getting on the road, but really felt that I was much too inexperienced and unknowledgeable. So, I bought this book to see if it may sway me in one direction or the other (before I went out and spent a huge chunk of change on a bike that I could possibly lay down in the first few minutes). After reading this book I knew what I needed EXACTLY - it gave me complete insider knowledge - the basics--on anything and everything from helmet info to what gear is needed from head to toe. Not only did I get a better understanding of what gear I needed, but where to buy it and how to prioritize safety (always at number one). I took the recommended course and practiced, practiced, practiced in a parking lot near my house. I feel like this book gave me what I needed to start riding. It was easy and simple and not some big complicated wordy book- it was completely real. The author seems to just be another guy on the road- very down to earth and real-he gives it to you like it is- very honest-he doesn't "fluff" anything. It gave me what I needed and that was that. I wouldn't have started riding without this book. I highly recommend this for anybody interesting in the basics of riding.

The Best of the Best!

A first glance, its just another Mustang book. Big woopee, there's dozens of them. But as you open it and page through it, you begin to realize this is a book of another breed. It revs. up in the beginning with pre-Mustang history, warms to performance with classic stang history, and tops it off with the 94-95' Mustangs. It is sooo complete that it contains both the original concept Mustang from 1960 and the Mach III from 1992, which never saw production. The best of the best(book), written about the best automotive company's (Ford) best endeavor(Mustang).

What a book! Its an all color book.Color photos of each year model, interior photos and detailed information make this one of the ultimate reference books on first generation Mustangs.

Covers all the GT's,GT/CS,1968 1/2 Cobra Jet,Mach1,Boss 302,Boss 429,Grande and Shelby mustangs. This book has got the lot.Its a softcover book and its very high quality and highly researched by these well known Mustang authors:Larry Dobbs,Donald Farr,Jerry Heasley and Rick Kopec. These guys know their mustangs and this book proves it.

I also recommend a similar book:
"Ford Mustang:1964-1/2 to 1973:Orginality guide for restorers and scale model builders".By Pat Covert.(A Musclecar Tech book.)

Ever wonder....

"What options were available for my year Mustang?"
"What options were included in the Mach 1 package for my 69/70/71/72/73?"
"What is the REAL difference between a 64 1/2 and a 65???"

The answers are contained in this book.

I've been restoring Mustangs since I was 19, back in 1989. This book is one of the first that I bought and has been with me ever since. I use it all the time, referencing ID codes, engine combos, options packages and a multitude of other details. This is one of the most comprehensive and accurate volumes that you will ever purchase. Personally, I'm on my third copy.

The book details year-to-year body and trim changes, interior and exterior options, powertrain combinations, paint/trim combinations, as well as a complete VIN # and Data Plate decoding matrix. It is written in a factual, yet easy to read manner that is not interjected with any form of opinion, slant or spin.

Since you are reading this online, I can assume that you may have been to some of the Mustang discussion forums on the Internet. The amount of incomplete, twisted and just plain wrong information that is tossed around by some of the posters is phenominal. If you have ever questioned the postings of another user, I heavily recommend you get this book.

Whether you already own, or are considering the purchase of a 64.5~73 Mustang, this book should be in your library. It can make the difference between a great purchase and a "What the heck did I buy?" purchase.......

Seriously, just buy this book..........

I own over 20 Mustang books and can honestly say this is one of the best out there. If you are interested in the SN-95 Mustang this book is for you! The majority of this book is about the development and introduction of the SN-95. It has great color photos and cutaway drawings. It also contains great information and pictures of earlier models. This book will impress you and is a steal at the current price.
