This book exceeded my expectations.Even though this book series are usually published in hardcover this title is published as a softcover.

Its a comprehensive story on the E-Type with plenty of beautiful photographs throughout.Its thorughly researched.This book will please most people.

An ideal and inexpensive book to add to your collection.

This 200 page, 150 picture, 50 chart book is a great overview of the XK-E's produced from 1961 to 1974. A nice history of the company and the model, this allows the complete novice to talk intelligently with Jag lovers. It is possibly an inexpensive beginning to an E-Type love affair with attendant significant wallet hemorage.

If you are a novice regarding the E-type, and wish to know the differences between the 3 different series, or are shopping and trying to figure out which model will best meet your guidelines, then this is the book for you. It describes in very good detail the differences in the models and interposes historical details. The color photographs are also excellent, so one can get an idea of the different shapes and changes. For example, some people prefer the so-called simple lines and mechanics of the Series 1 and others prefer the flared fenders and extra equipment (e.g.,a/c, automatic transmission, power steering and brakes) available on the Series 3. There is a chapter titled"Buying the Right E-type", which briefly describes the differences and gives tips on problems to watch out for, such as rust. Buy it as a reference and keep it out as a coffee-table book. Once you decide on a car, then you should check out Haddock's "Jaguar E-Type 6 & 12 Cylinder Restoration Guide" and Russ's " Jaguar V-12 E-Type: A Guide fo Authenticity" for details on the equipment, which your vehicle should have.

This book has wonderful photos and stories of DC-3s around the world. A must read for any "Gooney" lover.

My friend Henry Holden has written a book that provides excellent reading for both the Historian and the interested reader. The author has blended the history of the DC-3 into a readable book for everyone. The history,the stats,the humor and the insight of the major players makes this book a must--Thanks Henry for your efforts

In case that the Amazon information page does not currently show the scope and size of this book let me say that this book is very complete: a very readable tale of the legend and lore of the DC-3, as well as being a very accurate factual history. The book has 365 pages, 495 b/w illustrations.

If you collect License Plates from the USA, you must have this book. This book would be my "bible" if it also contained the Canadian provinces, Canadian territories and US territories. Great book. Glad I bought mine a few years ago! Wow, the price is high now. Probably worth it though as this is the best guide. All color too. The only thing that would make it better was if it came with a Greatest Hits of the James Gang CD! :-)

Jim Fox is extremely precise with his information. Excellent guide for collectors, includes wonderful color pictures of actual plates for all U.S. states.

The book has an excellent presentation, photos are really good and the text is superb. If you own any Super 7, Lotus or continuation models, you will be thrilled by the way many people all over the world took this excellent automobile as a model for their desire to own what Classisc Cars stated "Is this (the Super 7) the Best Sports Car EVER?" in their October 2007 cover, and I will say that this book is the best insight of that Best Car.

This is a wonderful book for anyone interested in the Lotus seven type cars. Dennis has done a great job in describing most (if not all) manufacturers of the seven copies. This is one of my favorite books with lots of great pictures. Highly recommended.

This book covers the history of virtually every commercial builder of Lotus Sevens and replicas. It focuses not only on their commercial histories though - it also highlights the technology that each builder (and, in some cases, parts suppliers) has brought to the forum. It is well written, easy to read, and well illustrated with tons of photographs. If you're building or buying a 7 or replica, read this book first. I'm building one, have been researching the build on and off for over 30 years, and I still learned a great deal from Dennis' book.

This book is a must have for any 2nd generation ford probe owner. It has saved me a fortune on repair costs. well worth the price lots of pictures better than the chiltons manual.

The Haynes manualfor the Mazda/Probe vehicle is as easy to use as other Haynes manuals I have purchased for other cars I have owned. Pictures are of good quality and the instructions are somewhat detailed. I would defintely recommend a Haynes manual for any car.

I searched everywhere for a repair manual for my Ford Telstar (Mazda626 clone). The book was particularly well suited to my purposes, as it described repair procedures in detail. As cars are more technologically advanced than before, I learnt a great deal and discovered features which I never knew existed on my car. The Fuel Injection section was particularly interesting to me. You learn exactly what not to mess with.

I do a lot of DIY maintenance and repairs. I recently purchased a 2000 Mazda Miata along with the model-specific Factory Workshop Manual. While Grainger's ...1.8: Enthusiasts Workshop Manual is intended for the earlier model, pre-1999, most of the guidance can be applied to the 1999-2000 with patience and ingenuity. I found that this manual, when combined with the Mazda Factory Workshop Manual and online resources, provide complete guidance for most tasks including major service. I particularly liked that Grainger included personal insight and tips & tricks that are helpful to a non-professional mechanic. The only issues I have with the Manual's presentation is that the small text is hard to read and the photos are small and some lack clarity. The last issue, which is not totally objectionable, is that the Manual is written with the "right and left" references from the perspective of someone standing behind the car looking forward (this takes some getting used to) - I took a red marker and wrote "left & right" to clarify these references. I would recommend this manual to any Miata owner that does his/her own work.

If you have a Mazda Miata with a 1.8L motor and you plan to work on the car yourself this book is a must have and priceless. Let me tell you how this book helped me. I'm a 51-year-old parts changer. I do the basics Brakes, Exhaust, Tune Ups, Water Pumps. I needed to change the water pump in the Miata. Lucky for me I had this book. Changing the water pump involved removing the timing belt and pulleys, which I've never done before. When I got to the point where I realized that this is not a basic water pump job I took out the book. The book walked me through the job with informative step-by-step text and photos. I'm happy to say the car started right up and is running better than ever. I'm now so confident with the technical support I receive from this book that I would not hesitate to tackle any job on this car. This book covers it all.

WOW! This guy researched his topic!! THis book, hidden behind the name of a "buyer's guide" is more like the "ULTIMATE COLLECTOR'S GUIDE." The serial number lists alone set this book apart from any other M-M book out there.

This great book is set up in a easy to read model by model format. Included are, serial number runs, weights, sizes, pictures, details and facts. This book also cotaints locations to Moline related internet sites. All the sections of this book are usefully for a fledgling enthusiast (like me). This book is a great guide thats helped me enjoy a great hobby. A recommended buy!

This book is a great for the novice who is interested in police motorcycles and the officers who ride them. Pros and cons of each brand of bike, qualifications to be a motor officer, equipment and more are covered here. Great companion to Genat's incredible book "Harley Davidson Police Motorcycles". Heck, buy 'em both!

I really enjoyed this book because it not only gives you great pictures of police motorcycles (Which there are plenty of!), but it also talks about the equipment both on the bikes and the officers use while on patrol. I also enjoyed the section on training and what it is like to be on patrol on a police motorcycle.

This is a fabulous book! It has a full gallery of awesome color pics of police motorcycles, and eye-catching information on them as well. Plus there are sidebars covering topics like the pros and cons of each brand of police 'cycle, police motorcycles in pop-culture, the relations motorcycle officers have between other kinds of law enforcement officers(patrol car, air unit, mounted, etc.), police bicycles, and off-road police motorcycles. Great pics, great info, GREAT book. A must for any enthusiast of motorcycles, police vehicles, or just police motorcycles in general.
