This book explained Piaget's theory in different developmental stages clearly. The book offers educators how to apply his theory in teaching. It is a good book for people who are not familiar with Piaget's theory or for educators who are not sure how to apply Piaget's theory in classrooms. It is a good resource for those who would be interested in teaching children based on Piaget's theory, such as teachers and home schooling's parents. It is also a good textbook for college students.

Daniel D. Isgrigg has done an amazing job of not only telling the story of Dr. Ervin's life but also captured the essense of his teachings. As Pentecostals, we must have sound exegesis and know why we believe what we do. I look forward to Mr. Isgrigg's new book which I have linked below.

This little history book details the accomplishments of some little-known women who paved the way for others. It is a good read as well as informative.

This is an excellent resource book for portfolio assessment. The book provides the history of portfolios. It provides many examples of how to create and use portfolios for assessment in elementary, middle school, and high school. The teachers in the examples share the areas they found most difficult as well as how they were ultimately successful. The examples include estimated time frames for creating, managing, and grading.

A well written book. The author paints an informative picture of an American woman who learns to cope with living in Mexico under difficult and sometimes frightening conditions. She had the courage to withstand adversity and move on to a better life for herself and her children back in the USA. She worked hard for everything and found a soulmate in her new husband.

This is a wonderful autobiography of a boy from a farm in rural central Minnesota who became a professor in a California Univrsity. It tells of his family's life and how he was supported by them in his quest for higher education and a career as a university profesor. It is an accurate and historically important account of places and people in central Minnesota and in colleges the author attended and later served as a faculty member. Anyone from Minnesota or similar locations will appreciate Professor Anderson's life story.

Power Steering: My Years As A Senior Peer Counselor by R. J. Howard is the highly recommended and fictionalized memoir of a volunteer peer counselor, styled specifically to protect the privacy of people involved. Based on the author's own story of her experiences as a volunteer and advocate for America's senior citizens, Power Steering is written with emotion, heart, depth, and sharp awareness of the shortcomings of modern-day nursing and care facilities.

I am a speech-language pathology student. I discovered this book while preparing a presentation on the topic of auditory stimuli in aural rehabilitation. I would highly recommend it to anyone who works with hearing-impaired children, and it is especially good for students and clinicians who work in the schools. It clearly explains how to interpet an audiogram and use it for planning therapy. Best of all, there are many case studies of how the information can be applied to specific children. It includes many therapy tasks and ideas for incorporating auditory-verbal exercises into whole language therapy. Though not apparent from the title, it is directed toward the auditory-verbal school of thought, so would not be appropriate for therapy using manual language approaches. It would also be a good resource for parents of hearing-impaired infants for activities that they could do at home, and for better understanding of their child's impairment. It is well-organized and easy to read. I highly recommend this book.

In a principle centered look at online writing instruction, Hewett and Ehmann prepare the way for the future. They do an outstanding job of defining online pedagogy, explaining this new interaction with the inherent challenges and potential benefits. I think it is a must read for any educator who has already implemented an online writing program or plans to start one. I found the theoretical aspect of the book intriging and loved all the specific examples they use to help the reader understand the actual online interaction and processes. I have not found any other book that comes close to this perspective; it's a real winner!
