Futuristic lamps your passion? Then get this book. Sure, these babies are all almost fifty years old but what a collection. This is obviously a labor of love for the author. He even gives the reader display sheets used by department stores. The color photos are magnificent. Even if you are just a lover of the wild and crazy fashions and designs of the 1950s, this is a must own book. Who knew that tools for lighting could be so much fun and so imaginative.

After reviewing this set for our woodworking blog, I wanted to share a big thumbs up with others. This is a great collection of articles from the last decade of Fine Woodworking Magazine and a great place for beginners to get a jump on learning. If you are a new or an old hand to duck decoy collecting, this is an invaluable reference. The photographs are excellent and show both form and detail. This book is a classic guide, that many vintage decoy collectors and sellers use for identifying carvers of old decoys. Highly recommended by a decoy collector (me).

Deborah does an amazing job with this how - to on outdoor cooking. beautiful pictures and designs to inspire even the most uncreative of readers. highly recommended - she even includes pictures of her own amazing outdoor kitchen which is just a testament to her knowedge and experience. even if you are just looking for ideas or creative possibilities pick up a copy and you will not be disappointed- you truly get what you pay for. i wish i could just carry out all of the projects she puts in here!

I found this book not only to be innovative, but very inspiring. It shows so many new ways to look at textiles, and all of the color pictures are superb. It is definitely something to look into for anyone interested in textiles.

This is the third book by Catherine Thuro on the subject of kerosene oil lighting and lamps. This book is as informative and useful as were her other two books. As an avid collector of whale oil and Kerosene oil antique lamps and lighting, I feel her books are one of the best reference sources available. I highly recommend this book to anyone who embraces the passion of collecting antique lighting!
